173: A conflict that ended as soon as it began

Nguyen Thi Linh's somewhat flustered heart finally settled as she threw herself into a familiar embrace.

“A Ling, I’m here. Don’t worry.” A magnetic voice sounded in her ear.

“Brother~~”

“Are you looking for death?”

Fa La, standing nearby, was already furious. Someone had dared to interrupt his hunt, and disregarding the difference in their physiques, he rushed forward to shove Li Qinghe.

However, his hand had barely touched Li Qinghe’s shoulder and shoved him once, but Li Qinghe didn't budge.

Instead, Li Qinghe turned and grabbed him by the collar, flinging him three meters away.

The Dragon Country tradition is not to fire the first shot. Once the first shot is fired, the situation is no longer up to you, because you may not have the chance to fire a second shot.

“QNMD”

At this point, wasting time with back-and-forth arguments was unnecessary. If you can use your hands, don't babble.

Fa La lay on the ground, howling, “Beat him for me!”

The twenty-odd boys who had been acting as the atmosphere group nearby all spewed profanities and rushed forward to gang up on Li Qinghe.

Several people charged directly, flying in with kicks.

It must be said that Vietnamese fighting was quite wild, with the same intensity as when the ancient hooligans were prevalent in the Dragon Country back in the day.

But their opponent was Li Qinghe. Twenty-odd people seemed like a lot, but only a few could actually get close enough to fight.

Li Qinghe turned and shielded Nguyen Thi Linh behind him. In a fight, ordinary people rely on momentum, while experienced fighters remain silent.

He kicked away the flying attackers one by one, and before those charging from behind could react, he knocked them down one by one with kicks as well.

With Li Qinghe's strength, fighting these people was simply too easy. Even so, he had to hold back some of his power, otherwise, none of these people would have survived.

While fighting, he even had time to count: a total of 23 people, and he delivered 21 kicks. One of those kicks sent a boy who jumped in with a flying kick flying backward, knocking down two more who were charging from behind.

In just this short amount of time, the ground was covered with people lying there groaning.

What was even more interesting was that the ground around these groaning people was strewn with red rose petals, which created a strange kind of beauty.

Fa La, who was about to prop himself up, quickly lay back down. He was terrified by the outcome of the battle. In the past, they always relied on their numbers to bully fewer people.

That's why he was so reckless when flirting, going after girls regardless of whether they had boyfriends.

If the girlfriend's boyfriend had an opinion, they would directly gang up and beat the other party severely.

But today, they had been severely taught a lesson.

Nguyen Thi Linh’s mood shifted from initial tension to relaxation, then to fear, and finally, she looked with astonishment at the crowd of people lying on the ground, groaning.

She knew Li Qinghe was very strong, but she didn't know he was such a good fighter.

And he wasn't just generally good at fighting; all dozens of people lying on the ground had been taken down by Li Qinghe alone.

Nguyen Thi Linh was instantly enveloped by a huge sense of security. Her man was actually so powerful.

Originally, she had prepared herself to be beaten badly, and she had thought that after Li Qinghe was knocked down, she would immediately throw herself on him to protect him.

She thought that even if she ended up in the hospital, she couldn't let Li Qinghe suffer too severe injuries, but she never expected that everything was just her own self- move (self-moving/self-pitying).

Li Qinghe simply swept through the group of people who had inexplicably come to confess, like an autumn wind sweeping fallen leaves.

Not far away, Nguyen Thi Trinh also stood there, dumbfounded, holding a brick she had managed to find.

Nguyen Thi Trinh was not one of those little girls who would only scream when they saw a fight.

Country girls from Xiangyang County were no strangers to fights and brawls in the market, and when necessary, they wouldn't hesitate to join the fray with sticks and stones.

So, when she saw a group of people rushing towards Li Qinghe, she immediately searched for a stick or stone, ready to rush to his rescue.

However, she never expected to see a dark mass of people falling to the ground, layer after layer.

And Li Qinghe, in the middle of the crowd, stood there unscathed with Nguyen Thi Linh.

It was lunchtime, and many students were leaving. When they saw a fight on the street, they all stood far away to watch the excitement.

They had originally thought that such a one-sided brawl, with many against few, would surely send the beaten person to the hospital.

However, they never expected the scene to indeed be one-sided, but in favor of the side with fewer people.

One person beating up a group of people was a scene usually only seen in movies. The entire process was so quick that some people who wanted to film a video to post online had barely pulled out their phones when the whole thing was already over.

Li Qinghe put his arm around Nguyen Thi Linh and walked out. As he passed Fa La, he looked down, and his eyes met Fa La's panicked gaze.

Li Qinghe directly stepped on Fa La's hand: “Dare to harass my girlfriend? Go lie in the hospital. If you dare come again, I'll break your other leg.”

They say the ten fingers are connected to the heart; Fa La’s face immediately turned crimson like a pig’s liver.

No sooner had he spoken than he delivered another kick to Fa La's leg.

Li Qinghe used his newly acquired Yan Huang Nine Needles skill. Although he didn't use needles, the acupoints were fixed. This kick would make Fa La's leg lose all strength after an hour, but a hospital examination would find no problems.

The law follows the heart: it can save people and kill people.

As he passed the few most aggressive youths from earlier, he applied the same treatment.

As Fa La's wails began, Li Qinghe had already led Nguyen Thi Linh and Nguyen Thi Trinh out of Hanoi University.

“Brother He, we didn’t ride our motorcycles.”

Nguyen Thi Trinh trotted behind Li Qinghe.

After Li Qinghe had kicked the legs of Fa La and his group, he turned and walked to Nguyen Thi Trinh’s side with Nguyen Thi Linh, casually taking the brick from her hand and throwing it on the ground.

This conflict, while slow to describe, happened quickly; the entire process took only about two to three minutes.

The onlookers didn't even have time to call the police.

It wasn't until Li Qinghe and Nguyen Thi Linh's figures disappeared that a few boys who could barely crawl stood up, limping, and, with the help of a few girls who hadn't been hit, helped their companions up.

Fa La, who had been stepped on, and the few who had jumped in with flying kicks were the most severely injured and had to remain lying down.

About ten minutes later, this large group of people supported each other as they went to the hospital for treatment.

In Vietnam, such matters are not pursued by the authorities unless a complaint is filed by the people, and the Vietnamese police don't usually run into universities without reason.

The situation in Vietnam now is just like ours twenty years ago; not everything is resolved by calling the police.

And for Fa La’s group, being beaten like this was already humiliating enough. If they reported it to the police, it might even make the news.

They couldn't afford that kind of embarrassment.

And Nguyen Thi Linh’s appearance was remembered by many people.

She had already been widely talked about because of her pure looks.

Because Li Qinghe had appeared in class, everyone knew that Nguyen Thi Linh’s boyfriend was very handsome.

This time, they learned that Nguyen Thi Linh’s boyfriend was a very capable fighter.

The feat of one person taking down twenty or thirty people is not something just anyone can achieve.

Such a powerful man was very popular in a campus like Hanoi University, where there were more women than men, and he became the dream partner for many girls.

As the information spread, Nguyen Thi Linh would become one of the girls at Hanoi University not to be messed with.

Whenever a boy showed interest in her, someone nearby would remind him of the 'hospital package' and not to forget Nguyen Thi Linh's formidable boyfriend.

This was one of the purposes of Li Qinghe's actions this time.

“No need for motorcycles, I drove here.”

Li Qinghe said, leading Nguyen Thi Linh and Nguyen Thi Trinh to a roadside parking spot across the street from the school.

Nguyen Thi Linh and Nguyen Thi Trinh were still looking around for the red Wrangler.

Li Qinghe, however, opened the door of a black Mercedes G63.

“We're taking this car today.”

“Wow, Brother He, you bought a new car!”

Nguyen Thi Linh and Nguyen Thi Trinh both looked at the shiny black, boxy car and thought it was quite nice.

Their aesthetics had been influenced by the Wrangler; they felt that large cars should be square like this.

But they had no concept of the car's price, only knowing that cars were expensive and Brother He was very rich.

So, the two happily forgot about the previous conflict and got into Li Qinghe’s big G to eat grilled rice noodles.
