268: A sports genius who learns quickly

The two coaches looked up, and the fair-skinned, tall Vu Linh Huong at the door almost made them stare.

Vu Linh Huong, walking over, had a hollowed-out mesh dress over her bikini. This kind of see-through dress looked even more alluring than just wearing a bikini.

Beautiful women were constantly seen on Mui Ne beach. Not many European and American girls managed to keep their fair skin; only Asian girls had a higher proportion of fair skin. However, very few reached Vu Linh Huong's level.

More importantly, Vu Linh Huong's inherent aura left a very deep first impression, making it clear that this girl was absolutely not simple.

A woman with a commanding presence, giving off the vibe of an overbearing female CEO, was not someone you could just casually flirt with.

"Brother, impressive," the two coaches said, giving Li Qinghe a thumbs-up. Whether it was his physique or his wallet, Li Qinghe must have had something extraordinary to find such a beautiful girlfriend.

"I'm about to go out and learn. These two guys just finished my paperwork," Li Qinghe said with a smile, walking out of the small surfing school building.

"Then you practice. I'll find a beach chair nearby."

Li Qinghe accompanied Vu Linh Huong and rented a sun umbrella and a beach chair near the surfing school.

50,000 vietnamese dong for two hours (around 13.5 dragon coin).

He also got Vu Linh Huong an iced coconut.

In a climate like Vietnam's, it's hard to stay comfortable without eating ice, which is why most drinks in Vietnam are iced.

Many people rely on those few ice cubes to survive.

Li Qinghe planted the sun umbrella next to the practice area, letting Vu Linh Huong sit under it and watch him practice controlling the kite.

Vu Linh Huong

The two coaches, one named Coach Ma and the other Coach Wang, saw how thoughtful and gentle Vu Linh Huong was. They were so envious they immediately wanted to become his disciples. Although there were gentle and thoughtful fishing girls in the fishing villages on the east coast, none had Vu Linh Huong's elegant temperament.

They almost got into a fight over who would be Li Qinghe's coach.

Their little plan was to first diligently teach Li Qinghe how to control the kite, and then, in turn, learn from Li Qinghe how to find a high-quality girlfriend.

The coach who eventually won and came to teach Li Qinghe was Coach Ma, who was not very old, around twenty-four or twenty-five.

Although he had chatted happily with Li Qinghe earlier, he was not at all careless in his teaching.

He very seriously guided Li Qinghe to first familiarize himself with the structure of the surfing kite.

Then he explained the relevant control methods and techniques, focusing on how to control direction and how to accurately find the wind direction to utilize wind power.

Finally, he demonstrated to Li Qinghe how to launch the kite and the series of steps to retrieve it after it had caught the wind.

"It's especially important to note that when you feel you can't control the kite, you must release your hands from the handles in time."

Coach Ma taught Li Qinghe very seriously and demonstrated it to him.

To help beginners better control the canopy kite, this teaching kite was fixed on the beach.

"Now it's your turn to try. Hands-on experience is more effective than explaining it several times."

After Coach Ma finished explaining and demonstrating, he retrieved the canopy, stood aside, and motioned for Li Qinghe to try.

Li Qinghe turned to look at Vu Linh Huong.

Vu Linh Huong, holding her coconut, blew a kiss to Li Qinghe.

"Alright, brother, don't shower us two single dogs with affection anymore. I'm practically spinning around in anxiety over here."

The other coach, Coach Wang, urged Li Qinghe with a wry smile to quickly get to it.

Only with kite flying could they regain some confidence.

"OK, OK, I'll start right away."

Li Qinghe walked to the kite's operating position with a smile. After a brief thought, he imitated Coach Ma's movements and shook the canopy kite to fully catch the wind.

It was a bit stiff at first, but it quickly became more and more skillful and smooth.

"Wow, brother, your talent is quite high!"

Coach Ma and Coach Wang stood by, witnessing Li Qinghe's transition from initial unfamiliarity to proficient kite operation.

Slowly, the entire kite was steadily launched into the sky. They watched Li Qinghe control the kite, flying it very stably, skillfully catching air currents from various directions to maintain its flight.

"Good, now slowly try to retract the canopy."

In kite surfing, retracting the canopy is also very particular. If not done correctly, a kite flying dozens of meters high could suddenly lose its lift, and falling into the sea from such a height would be very dangerous.

However, to the astonished eyes of the two coaches, Li Qinghe steadily controlled the kite, bringing it down very smoothly onto the beach.

With their extensive experience, they could tell that the kite Li Qinghe controlled provided enough buoyancy for the body before landing, preventing a straight fall from the air to the ground.

"Coaches, how did I do? Was it good enough? Can I fly it now?"

The two coaches looked at their watches; including teaching and practice, only an hour had passed.

"Come on, let's fast-track the rest of the lessons for you and see if you can set a record of flying in just one day."

Coach Ma was clearly a bit excited. It was his first time encountering a student with such strong learning ability, and a compatriot at that. More importantly, this compatriot was very good at picking up girls.

Li Qinghe had jokingly told Coach Ma earlier to teach him seriously, and he would teach him how to pick up girls that evening.

So, he and Coach Wang taught Li Qinghe self-rescue training, safe launch and landing training, water dragging, upwind board retrieval, and board mounting training.

In Li Qinghe's case, in just over half an hour, by the time Vu Linh Huong was on her second coconut, Li Qinghe's basic operations had passed the coaches' inspection and test.

So, by the third hour of teaching, Li Qinghe was already able to go out to sea on a surfboard.

Watching Li Qinghe skillfully launch the canopy, find the wind, and then smoothly glide from the shore into the sea, his surfboard carving a huge white wake across the water, the two coaches pouted and exchanged glances, shaking their heads with emotion, "Comparing oneself to others can be infuriating."

Li Qinghe blended in with a large group of experienced and novice kite surfers; there was no indication that it was his first time surfing.

The massive kite was as obedient as a little white rabbit in his hands.

Vu Linh Huong held her phone, recording videos and taking photos of Li Qinghe. But she didn't know that Li Qinghe had been recording the entire process from the moment he started learning.

His first kite surfing learning and practice experience, he certainly had to document it well.

It's just that after he puts it on the platform, many people will probably accuse him of cheating.

After all, the world of geniuses is hard for ordinary people to understand.

To put it in the most disheartening way, it's like those top students who score over 700 on the college entrance exam; for them, many types of questions are 'just do it with your hands.' They wouldn't understand the feeling of ordinary students racking their brains over a not-so-complex problem.

Ordinary students also cannot comprehend how simple a difficult problem can be when analyzed in their minds.

Li Qinghe surfed to his heart's content for an hour on the sea, then effortlessly landed on the beach.

"Brother, you're really something. If I hadn't taught you myself, I would suspect this isn't your first time kite surfing."

"Hey, brothers, we agreed, since I successfully surfed, I should get my certificate early."

"Here, absolutely. You are the most outstanding student I've ever taught. Your certificate will be issued immediately."

Coach Ma looked completely convinced, practically thumping his chest in assurance.

"Haha, Old Ma will be bragging about this for years," Coach Wang teased Coach Ma from the side.

"Hmph, as if you wouldn't brag. Next time I'm bragging, won't you still chime in with, 'I taught him too'?"

They were all young people, and their conversation wasn't too stiff. After a few jokes and laughs, Li Qinghe was ready to take Vu Linh Huong to dinner.

"Brother, don't forget, 8 PM, Big Lobster Bar,"

Coach Ma said, specifically reminding Li Qinghe not to forget their evening appointment after issuing the International Kiteboarding Association certification and uploading it online.
