151: The tricked little white stripe

"Haha, A Quynh is already preparing for tonight's photoshoot!"

"Yeah, it's my first time taking these kinds of photos, so I'm a little nervous, but also a little excited."

Li Qinghe's teasing didn't make Chen Yuyingqiong shy; she seemed to have shed her shyness after making up her mind, acting as composed as she had been sitting behind Li Qinghe on the road.

For Li Qinghe, he didn't delve too deep into it; as long as a woman remains friendly towards you, any behavior is perfectly normal.

Chen Yuyingqiong had already shown her cheerful and generous side today, so she had no issues, and Li Qinghe had even fewer.

Li Qinghe knew that her state today was seven parts her natural personality and three parts a bit of defiance.

As the beneficiary, Li Qinghe clasped his hands together and sincerely thanked her roommates.

"Brother He, we're already outside, what are you praying for?"

Chen Yuyingqiong looked curious.

They had already walked out of the Linh Ung Pagoda archway and were almost at where the motorbikes were parked when Li Qinghe suddenly clasped his hands and muttered something.

"Thanking some friends I've never met, thanking them for the joy they bring me."

"Brother He is truly a good man. Grandma says men with grateful hearts are good men."

Being suddenly given a 'good person card' by Chen Yuyingqiong made Li Qinghe decide that if the opportunity was right tonight, he would let her deeply and comprehensively understand just how good a 'good man' really is.

"Brother He, a gust of wind just made me feel a bit cold. It might cool down tonight."

Chen Yuyingqiong suddenly told Li Qinghe her feelings.

This girl's intuition was quite sharp; she sensed it as soon as Li Qinghe had the thought.

"Then remember to bring an extra jacket when you get your clothes tonight."

Li Qinghe's concern was always very specific, the kind that directly warmed the heart.

They drove all the way down from Linh Ung Pagoda and then to the several winding mountain roads.

Here, one could see the bay embraced by small hills, appearing exceptionally serene and charming under the blue sky.

After turning another big bend, Li Qinghe slowly parked the motorbike behind a van.

There was a very business-savvy boss here, driving a van loaded with coconuts and a set of coffee-making tools, selling drinks.

He had placed a few plastic chairs on the grassy roadside, and two people were already sitting there drinking coffee.

"A Quynh, let's sit here for a while, have an iced drink, and look at the sea."

Li Qinghe was not in a hurry to go back; some things, like red wine, taste better after breathing for a while.

Chen Yuyingqiong gladly accepted Li Qinghe's suggestion.

In this hot weather, sitting in the cool shade of a tree and having an iced drink was perfect.

An iced coffee cost 50,000 vietnamese dong, which is nearly 14 dragon country currency, and a coconut cost 30,000 vietnamese dong, which is over 8 dragon country currency.

This price was similar to that near My Khe Beach, but it reconfirmed one thing: iced drinks were available.

They pulled two plastic stools and sat with Chen Yuyingqiong, looking at the azure bay in front of them and the hazy horizon in the distance.

Gusts of sea breeze blew by, carrying away all the oppressive heat.

After taking a few photos of Chen Yuyingqiong here, the two sat down to chat.

"A Quynh, how many people live in your school's dorms?"

Thinking of universities in Hanoi that didn't even have dorms, or small schools like Nguyen Thi Linh's where the school rented off-campus housing for students, Li Qinghe was very curious about the accommodation conditions at Duy Tan University, one of Vietnam's best private universities.

"Our dorms are four-person rooms, and there are also two-person rooms..."

Drinking iced coffee, Chen Yuyingqiong smiled as she told Li Qinghe about her school, her dorms, and Li Qinghe's real intention—Chen Yuyingqiong's roommates.

As Vietnam's top private university, Duy Tan University has over 28,000 students across 6 campuses in Da Nang.

Chen Yuyingqiong's dorms, like many universities in China, have a bunk bed with a desk underneath structure.

Her three roommates, like her, come from relatively well-off families; as part of Vietnam's upper-middle income group, they have enough money for food, drink, and entertainment besides going to school.

So all three had successively gotten boyfriends, and after 'eating meat,' these roommates often shared explicit details and exchanged experiences during late-night dorm talks.

They had a great time talking, but for the innocent Chen Yuyingqiong, it was a bit uncomfortable.

Constantly being talked to by them, Chen Yuyingqiong also developed a desire to quickly get a boyfriend.

However, she was a bit picky about men: no one shorter than her, no one with too dark skin, no smokers, and no one who wasn't handsome.

For Chen Yuyingqiong, who still frequently received calls from home checking up on her, it was a bit difficult to find a partner.

Although her roommates' usual teasing was mostly good-natured jokes, when certain things were said too often, even if well-intentioned, they could sound grating.

What's more, some things that seemed like advice were actually preachiness disguised as advice.

Whether in China or Vietnam, which young person today can tolerate that?

Chen Yuyingqiong poured out her heart to Li Qinghe, complaining about the troubles her roommates caused her.

Li Qinghe put on the demeanor of a caring older brother, occasionally comforting her or saying things that showed he understood her very well.

As a result, Chen Yuyingqiong suddenly felt very comfortable with this man, and he was especially good at understanding her inner worries, and his words were very empathetic.

In fact, Li Qinghe simply let her voice her troubles, merely helping her solidify an impression.

His true purpose was to subtly tell Chen Yuyingqiong that opportunity was right in front of her; if she seized it, she could escape her roommates' preaching.

The two sat by the roadside for an hour. While Li Qinghe listened attentively, he also helped Chen Yuyingqiong amplify her desire to shed her innocence.

"A Quynh, let's go back to the city. First, we'll pick up your clothes, and then we'll have dinner. They say Da Nang's seafood is very famous, so let's find a seafood restaurant for dinner."

Li Qinghe checked the time, and seeing it was about right, he got up and took Chen Yuyingqiong towards the city. It would take nearly an hour to get from Son Tra Peninsula to the city.

Li Qinghe wanted to leave some time for Chen Yuyingqiong to get dressed, and while waiting for her, he would take the opportunity to check nearby malls for suitable sexy lingerie.

Li Qinghe's original plan was to eat seafood at the famous Son Tra Night Market nearby before heading back.

However, while chatting with Chen Yuyingqiong earlier, he learned that the night market was mostly frequented by tourists, and locals never ate there.

Because those seemingly tempting seafood items were mostly frozen; it wasn't that they weren't fresh, but they weren't alive.

Everyone knows there's a big difference in taste between live seafood just pulled from the water and seafood kept on ice.

Chen Yuyingqiong usually went out to dinner with her roommates and knew some good and fresh seafood restaurants.

So the two decided to go to one of the seafood restaurants near Duy Tan University for dinner tonight.

The return journey was much faster than the trip there, as Li Qinghe already had an impression of the roads they had taken, and following his memory was usually correct.

Once the motorbike reached the city center, they had to rely on navigation.

Li Qinghe dropped Chen Yuyingqiong directly at the school gate, agreeing to pick her up there again in half an hour.

After watching Chen Yuyingqiong walk into the Duy Tan University gate, Li Qinghe turned the motorbike around and went to a large shopping mall nearby.
