143: My Khe Beach Exploration

Li Qinghe hailed a Grab car.

It's said that Vietnamese people have two essential apps: Zalo and Grab.

This is Vietnam's primary ride-hailing app, which not only allows you to book cars and motorbikes but also includes lifestyle features like food delivery, hotel reservations, mobile payments (supporting local and international credit cards), and insurance services.

It can be said to be a very essential app for living in Vietnam.

The two-kilometer journey quickly came to an end, with the meeting place set at a coffee shop next to My Khe Beach.

When Li Qinghe arrived, it was still early, so he walked around near the coffee shop for a while. The coffee shop was right on the beach, and just a few meters away was the fine sand.

Having just acquired a new tool, Li Qinghe was in high spirits.

Li Qinghe noticed that Da Nang had a lot of Koreans; in less than ten minutes of walking on the beach, he had already heard no fewer than 10 Koreans loudly laughing or talking on the phone as they passed by.

That kind of startled, dramatic demeanor was unique to them.

And the inexplicable sense of superiority inherent in their bones was exactly like a house slave who had suddenly become prosperous after switching allegiances.

However, putting everything else aside, the beautiful scenery of My Khe Beach at dusk and the fine sand underfoot certainly made it one of Asia's six most beautiful beaches.

Li Qinghe was also dressed very casually tonight: a floral shirt, knee-length shorts, a pair of flip-flops, and the biochemical detection glasses perched on his nose.

The glasses' detection function was quite interesting: anyone within his line of sight would have a health bar-like object above their head.

If they were untouched, it was a white bar; if they had experience but were healthy, it was green; if there was a slight issue representing mild toxicity, it was yellow; if toxic, it was red; and a biochemical mother was a skull.

Placing his flip-flops in a corner next to the coffee shop, Li Qinghe walked barefoot on the sand, meticulously experiencing the fine beach.

However, upon reaching the area of the beach covered by waves, the sand no longer felt as soft and fluffy as it did further up.

Perhaps due to the moisture, this part of the beach felt a bit harder than he imagined when stepped on.

Nevertheless, the sensation on his feet was still very comfortable.

My Khe Beach was quite lively at night; compared to the scorching sun during the day, the evening sea breeze was very pleasant, and many tourists chose to stroll the beach at night.

Amidst the surging crowds, many fashionable and spicy beauties were a sight to behold.

The fashion style of beauties in Da Nang is heavily influenced by Korea; many beauties are dressed quite exquisitely.

However, the world through Li Qinghe's eyes was completely different, because the biochemical detection glasses didn't distinguish between genders. In the dense crowd, his eyes were met with a sea of green bars, interspersed with a considerable number of yellow bars, and occasionally, he would even encounter a few red bars.

A significant number of the yellow bars belonged to white and black Europeans and Americans; given their indiscriminate lifestyles, yellow bars were just a basic operation.

After walking for a while, Li Qinghe finally saw a biochemical mother: a sexy stunner with bright eyes and white teeth, a slender figure, and fiery attire, with her northern and southern hemispheres seemingly about to burst out.

Many men couldn't help but turn back for a few glances after passing by her.

The man she was with had a smug look, very proud of being able to bring such a beautiful female companion.

Li Qinghe looked sympathetically at the man, whose yellow bar had already turned half red.

Playing the field has its risks; given this guy's situation, cauliflower tongue would probably be a mild outcome.

Li Qinghe thought about his own experiences; fortunately, his luck was good. Since coming to Vietnam, from Rice Noodles to Rice Noodles, all were white bars. The only time he played the field, Vu Phan Thanh Lien, was also quite self-respecting, definitely a green bar.

Li Qinghe leisurely strolled around, and when he saw that it was almost time, he returned to the coffee shop, ordered an egg coffee, and slowly enjoyed the sea view.

Prices by the beach weren't high, or rather, the prices at this coffee shop weren't too high. A cup of egg coffee cost 50,000 vietnamese dong, which was cheaper than some shops in Hanoi.

Drinking coffee and enjoying the night view by the beach at night also had a unique charm.

"Brother-in-law, is that Brother He?"

A crisp voice came from beside him, and then a beautiful figure sat down on the chair opposite him.

Li Qinghe looked up and saw a delicate-looking girl sitting opposite him, wearing a white vest, denim shorts, with a slender waist he could almost grasp, and a head of curly hair dyed yellow draped over her shoulders.

She didn't even put on her denim jacket, letting it hang behind her. Her overall attire made her look very much like a Korean girl, but she was a native Vietnamese girl.

As Li Qinghe looked up, the glasses on his head slid down onto his nose.

Le Xuan Mai

"Brother-in-law, what would you like to drink?"

Li Qinghe reached out and shook hands with the girl.

This was the first girl Li Qinghe had arranged to meet, named Le Xuan Mai. If they were in the Dragon Kingdom, people would say they were from the same family 500 years ago.

But in Vietnam, there was no such saying.

Due to the dynastic changes in Vietnam throughout history, many surnames were changed later, just like the Nguyen surname. When a new dynasty was established, those associated with the old dynasty, to avoid being purged, all changed their surnames to Nguyen.

When another dynasty changed, another group of people changed their surname to Nguyen. Over time, the Nguyen surname became dominant in Vietnam.

But not all Nguyens are the same, just like the Le Xuan Mai in front of him; this Li is different from Li Qinghe's Li.

"Brother He, are you here in Da Nang for travel or on a business trip?"

Young people who dare to dye their hair blonde are generally not too introverted, and Le Xuan Mai was no exception.

She was also curiously sizing up Li Qinghe; she probably hadn't had much contact with such a wealthy man.

"I guess you could say I'm here on a business trip. After work, I took the opportunity to look around. I plan to visit some of Da Nang's attractions in the next few days."

"A Mei, are you working or studying?"

Li Qinghe pushed the biochemical glasses back to the top of his head. The results of his earlier scan were good.

A vibrant green bar was displayed above Le Xuan Mai's head.

Although it wasn't a white bar, as long as she was healthy, the result was good.

Le Xuan Mai picked up the egg coffee brought by the waiter, stirred it a few times, and took a small sip.

"I'm still studying, at Da Nang University..."

Le Xuan Mai and Li Qinghe chatted while enjoying the sea breeze, slowly sipping their egg coffee.

From the information Le Xuan Mai provided, Li Qinghe learned that she was attending Da Nang University and was already in her third year.

She would need to find an internship in a little over a year, but Le Xuan Mai wasn't very keen on working, as she felt she hadn't enjoyed her current life enough.

"Haha, you still have over a year. Why worry about things that haven't happened yet? Maybe by then, things will take a turn for the better."

Li Qinghe's encouraging words were very impactful. If they were in his home country, people might not have felt much, but this sentence made Le Xuan Mai's eyes light up.

"Brother He, you're so right! It's completely wrong to be tormented by things that haven't arrived yet. I should enjoy my current life."

With that statement, Le Xuan Mai and Li Qinghe's relationship became much closer.

This girl thoroughly enjoyed the relaxed pace of life by the beach.

"A Mei, please wait here for a moment. I'm going next door and will be right back."
