342: I was afraid of shopping and trying on clothes for the first time.

Chen Daisy, as she said, took a day off from work the next morning.

Secretary Emily didn't need to go through such trouble, because her boss was right there.

Serving the boss well meant serving the company well.

As for hiring people, that could wait until tomorrow.

The three of them slept until after 10 AM before getting up. There was nothing to eat at home, and they couldn't wait for delivery.

So, the three of them drove directly to Orchard Road for breakfast.

As they neared Orchard Road, Li Qinghe saw a lively hawker center in a residential complex by the roadside, so he parked the car in a spot next to it.

“Boss, are we eating breakfast here?”

Emily, sitting in the back seat, rolled down the window slightly and looked into the hawker center: “The business here is really good. There are still so many people at this hour.”

“dear, you chose so well. A hawker center with so many people eating at this hour must have absolutely delicious food.”

Chen Daisy, in the passenger seat, also observed for a moment and then gave Li Qinghe a thumbs-up.

“Alright, you two don’t need to flatter me. I’m just so hungry I can’t stand it, and I saw this place by the roadside, so I stopped.”

Li Qinghe wasn't one of those people who gets overly pleased by a little praise.

The three of them got out of the car and quickly walked into the hawker center. Li Qinghe, accompanied by two beautiful women, didn't attract too much attention here.

Because most Singaporeans are relatively indifferent, they all eat their ordered food minding their own business. Many people finish eating, place their plates in the dish collection area, and leave immediately.

Those who aren't in a hurry also eat their food unhurriedly, rest for a moment in their seats, and then leave.

Life in Singapore is also severely polarized.

Ultimately, like any country in the world, those with money live carefree and enjoy life, while those without money toil and struggle for food.

Li Qinghe gave Chen Daisy and Emily 100 singapore dollars in cash each, asking them to bring back various international breakfast dishes from the hawker center.

Watching their graceful figures stopping at various stalls to pay in the hawker center,

Li Qinghe found a table against the wall and sat down.

Those two independent women had long been transformed into pliable figures under intense 'stick and carrot' education.

With money in one hand and a big stick in the other, Li Qinghe had profoundly twisted their worldviews.

Chen Daisy and Emily returned after a long round.

Soon, the table was piled high with all sorts of food.

They knew Li Qinghe could eat a lot, so they didn't hold back, directly spending all 200 singapore dollars, and even adding tens of singapore dollars each from their own pockets.

Looking at the dazzling array of breakfast dishes before him, Li Qinghe felt this was truly a collection of international breakfasts.

Western-style included Singaporean classic kaya toast and soft-boiled eggs; Chinese language-style was soy milk, fried dough sticks, and shrimp dumplings; Malay-style was rojak salad; and Indian-style absolutely had to be Roti Prata.

This full table of breakfast also made passersby frequently glance at them.

But Singapore values social distancing, so most people just looked and then left expressionlessly.

Chen Daisy no longer had any of her so-called independent woman's arrogance; her pride had all vanished in the coconut milk she consumed that morning.

Even though she couldn't cook, she knew to first portion each dish onto Li Qinghe's plate; the rest was for her and Emily to share.

Sometimes, the two of them would only take a small taste before passing it to Li Qinghe.

Chen Daisy and Emily, after all, were girls with smaller appetites. Towards the end of the meal, it was basically the two of them beside Li Qinghe, mixing and dipping his food, completely preparing it and feeding it into his mouth.

As for why they became so obedient and sensible, let's not ask. The answer is that they were deeply impressed by the 'stick and carrot' education in Chinese language culture.

What good person could withstand the impact of a big stick in one hand and a top luxury mansion in Singapore in the other? Chen Daisy certainly couldn't.

As for Emily, she seemed to be half-reluctant, but in reality, she never even thought of resisting.

The breakfast was very warm. Li Qinghe filled his stomach and became energetic.

“Daisy, Emily, I’ll take you to buy some clothes. You can hang them in your respective apartments, so you won’t have to worry about not having clothes to change into when you stay there in the future.”

Li Qinghe was very thoughtful in this regard. The properties given by the system would definitely not be bare-bones; they could move in without even carrying a bag.

The only thing they needed to bring was their own clothes.

Since both 'white strips' (referring to the women) had been fully 'brushed' with coconut milk, Li Qinghe was not stingy in giving them some extra rewards.

Just like now, he was strolling with Chen Daisy and Emily through several large shopping malls on Orchard Road.

They bought quite a few items from various big brands and designer clothing.

Chen Daisy and Emily initially enjoyed the fun of shopping enthusiastically, but towards the end, they just numbly followed Li Qinghe.

Under his direction, they mechanically carried a pile of clothes into the changing room to try them on.

Then, they numbly watched Li Qinghe swipe his card to pay, and the store assistants were arranged to deliver the goods to their homes.

“dear, can we please stop shopping? Let’s go see the apartment Emily is staying in first.” Chen Daisy pleaded, shaking Li Qinghe’s arm. She felt she really couldn’t try on any more clothes.

“Mmm, mmm, mmm, Boss, let’s go see it quickly. This is the first time I’ve felt that shopping and trying on clothes is so terrifying.”

Little Secretary Emily also looked on with lingering fear.

What kind of person tries on so many clothes that they could almost be buried in them?

“dear, if you really want to spend money, just give me these clothes in cash. I promise I won’t complain about the hard work when I’m collecting the money.”

Seeing that Li Qinghe was no longer asking the sales assistants to bring more clothes, Chen Daisy finally regained a little vitality and even had the energy to joke with Li Qinghe.

“Alright then, you keep this money.”

Li Qinghe took out three stacks of singapore dollar from his backpack; there were a total of thirty thousand singapore dollar.

Li Qinghe slapped these three stacks of singapore dollar onto Chen Daisy’s hand, one stack at a time.

Although Chen Daisy usually claimed she didn't want to be a slave to money, the thick stacks of cash in her hand had a different feel compared to a bank transfer.

While transferring 30,000 singapore dollar by bank was also easy, it definitely didn't have the same impact as three stacks of cash.

After giving them to Chen Daisy, he took out three more stacks and placed them in Emily’s hand.

The Little Secretary cheered and jumped up, “Thank you, Boss! Having money feels great!”

The clothing store assistant standing nearby turned green with envy.

She also wished she had a man who would so unceremoniously slap stacks of cash into her hand.

Why couldn't she meet such a generous rich person?

Looking at Chen Daisy and Emily standing on Li Qinghe's left and right, and then at herself in the mirror,

The assistant sighed. Perhaps she should go to Thailand for some procedures like a facelift to make herself more charming.

Since both girls didn't want to continue shopping at the mall,

Li Qinghe directly took them to Orchard Road Amore Gardens.

Such a uniquely designed building stood out even among the high-rises of Orchard Road.
