32: Renting the fifth floor of a four-story house

Hanoi National University of Education is located in Cau Giay District.

As a former member of the Vietnam National University, the now independent Hanoi National University of Education is directly under the Ministry of Education of Vietnam.

It is also one of the most influential schools in Vietnam.

However, the dormitories in the school are as tight as ever.

So A Ying and several classmates rented a place outside the school, which was not far from the school and convenient for them to go out for part-time jobs.

This is a typical old Vietnamese residential building. A Ying and her classmates rented on the fifth floor, but Li Qinghe couldn't see where there were five floors in this building.

Li Qinghe asked A Ying why she didn't rent on the third floor. She told Li Qinghe that Vietnamese people are more taboo about the numbers 3 and 7, so the second floor goes directly to the fourth floor.

Li Qinghe suddenly realized that the fifth floor was the fourth floor, no wonder he couldn't figure out where the other floor was after looking for a long time. It couldn't have vanished into thin air.

This building was basically rented out by the landlord, mostly to students from Hanoi National University of Education, and the first floor was rented to a clothing store.

The landlord's own family does not live here, and like many landlords in southern China, he has other residences elsewhere.

Because it was already midnight when they returned, A Ying led Li Qinghe, using her phone for light, through a small passage separated from the clothing store, and tiptoed up the stairs. As soon as they reached the third floor, they heard the mournful sounds from several rooms.

This feeling was like when Li Qinghe was studying in Lingang City and stayed overnight at a classmate's rented 'handshake building' outside the school, and was woken up by such sounds in the middle of the night.

Midnight, young and vigorous.

When Li Qinghe looked at A Ying, he received a passionate kiss.

No wonder A Ying said that Li Qinghe should perform well tonight and help her get revenge for the torment she suffered every night before.

In such an environment, the nights were indeed a bit tormenting, and A Ying had also been enduring the midnight singing for a long time.

It's just that this request felt a bit strange, like a lamb teaching a big bad wolf how to eat itself.

A Ying led Li Qinghe slowly up to her floor.

The landlord divided this long and narrow floor into three small rooms, and A Ying's room was the innermost one.

Standing at the stairwell, one could hear the chorus on this floor, no less than downstairs.

When renting out, they really don't shy away at all, or perhaps people in the tropics are much more passionate.

Li Qinghe didn't know, but he could hear that these young students were all very hot-blooded.

To get in, they had to pass through one of the rooms, and all they heard was a sound inside, like someone constipated, constantly ringing out.

Li Qinghe even wanted to go downstairs to find a pharmacy to buy an enema for them. This sound was truly unheard of.

A Ying, with a somewhat excited expression, led Li Qinghe back to her own room.

The entire room was not large, and the environment was very simple: a bed, a desk, and a wardrobe in the corner.

There was also a cabinet in one corner of the desk, with a rice cooker and some kitchen utensils on it, so it seemed A Ying sometimes cooked for herself here.

The only thing was that this room had no bathroom. A Ying said there was only a shared bathroom outside, and she had to queue up every morning.

A Ying asked Li Qinghe to sit on the bed, and she went out with a basin. After a while, she came back with a basin of water to wipe Li Qinghe's face and body.

After wiping Li Qinghe, she changed a basin of water and came back to clean herself.

Perhaps it was because of the alcohol, plus the various sounds from different rooms along the way.

Tonight, A Ying was a bit excited. She strongly requested Li Qinghe to review the pronunciation of Pinyin letters with her several times.

She stated that she wanted to study foreign languages all night tonight.

Seeing A Ying's strong desire to learn, how could Li Qinghe refuse her request?

So he began to teach her Pinyin letters with an extremely proper attitude.

And, drawing inspiration from the Crazy English learning method, he suggested that A Ying should recite loudly, as long as she read loudly enough, it would form muscle memory.

Then she would be able to pronounce correctly at any time.

A Ying thought it made a lot of sense, happily accepted this suggestion, and began to recite Chinese language and Pinyin loudly.

Li Qinghe keenly felt that when A Ying recited loudly, the outside noises disappeared, as if they were suppressed, and no sound came through anymore.

A Ying happily hugged Li Qinghe and said that she felt this way of learning was very effective.

From time to time, she would also bring up profound truths from Vietnamese history to discuss with Li Qinghe, about which ones were transmitted from China.

As a Chinese man, he is most adept at discussing everything from astronomy to geography, especially matters of tracing origins.

So he cited classics and carefully identified and analyzed the profound truths that A Ying fully disclosed.

He sternly criticized Vietnam for once being a part of China, but having forgotten the characters and language their ancestors once used.

In order to give A Ying a true understanding of history, Li Qinghe painstakingly summarized and imparted some essences of Chinese culture to A Ying.

A Ying, suddenly enlightened, was quickly convinced by Li Qinghe.

Just like that day, too much knowledge to absorb. A Ying ultimately failed to fulfill her grand promise of studying all night.

After only a few repetitions, she was mentally exhausted and fell into a deep sleep. Since the student was asleep, Li Qinghe, the teacher, naturally wouldn't force himself to stay awake. He held A Ying and fell asleep.

The next morning, Li Qinghe opened his eyes, woken up by the urge to urinate.

He looked around the room and saw no such thing as a chamber pot, so he got up, put on his pants, too lazy to put on a shirt, and ambled to the bathroom door.

He found a lean, bespectacled girl wearing a pink short-sleeved pajama already standing inside. She was quite tall.

This girl, seeing the tall and muscular Li Qinghe standing at the door, instantly looked stunned, tilting her head and remaining motionless for a long time.

Li Qinghe was already uncomfortable from holding it in. Seeing that the girl didn't move for a long time, he couldn't help but say, "Brother-in-law," and directly reached out to pull the girl out of the bathroom and close the door.

With a powerful gush of water, Li Qinghe finally let out a relaxed breath.

He had drunk a few bottles of beer last night and hadn't used the toilet after discussing profound truths with A Ying. Being able to hold it until now showed his strong kidney function.

Opening the bathroom door, he found that the bespectacled girl was still standing there foolishly, not moving.

Li Qinghe had no energy to bother with her. He nodded at her, turned around, left the bathroom, and walked directly to A Ying's room.

The bespectacled girl watched the inverted triangle back disappear into A Ying's room, biting her lower lip, her eyes flashing with an unknown light.

Li Qinghe returned to the room, glanced at his phone, it was only a few minutes past six. He lay back on the bed, and with a sweep of his big hand, A Ying was scooped into his arms.

A Ying's eyes struggled to open a slit. Seeing it was Qinghe, she snuggled into his arms, closed her eyes, and fell asleep again.

The two slept until seven fifty, woken up by A Ying's alarm clock.

A Ying opened her eyes again, saw Li Qinghe's handsome face in front of her, and couldn't help but smile happily, pressing her face against Li Qinghe's chest: "Brother, good morning."

"Morning."

Li Qinghe pulled her tighter into his embrace.

"Brother, do you have any other plans for this morning?"

A Ying suddenly climbed onto Li Qinghe's chest, looking down at him excitedly.

"I have to go to Ba Dinh District at 10 o'clock for something."

Li Qinghe had checked last night. It was only about twenty minutes by motorcycle from Hanoi National University of Education to the studio, so leaving at 10 o'clock was perfectly fine.

"Brother, let's go have breakfast, and then you come to class with me, please, please, you're the best, Brother."

A Ying cupped Li Qinghe's face, kissed him, and twisted her body, acting coquettishly.

"Are you sure you want to keep twisting?"

Li Qinghe gently placed his hands on A Ying's smooth waist.

"Hmm, no more twisting. Brother, let's get up quickly, there's a noodle shop downstairs that's especially delicious."

A Ying, realizing something was amiss, immediately got up quickly, smiling apologetically and begging for mercy: "Brother, I was wrong, let's go have breakfast."

Li Qinghe was just joking. He had already tested A Ying's stamina and wouldn't make things difficult for her anymore.

A Ying changed her clothes, then diligently went to fetch water to help Li Qinghe wash his face, and even offered her toothbrush for him to brush his teeth.

Li Qinghe didn't mind, and naturally washed up with A Ying.

Their relationship was already this close, so occasionally using her toothbrush was no big deal.

When they went out, they met the tall, thin, bespectacled girl again. She was leaving with a young man with yellow hair.
