51: High-end apartments build love nests

Li Qinghe watched the lottery machine in his mind spin wildly, wondering what good things he would win this time.

When the lottery machine spat out a light spot, Li Qinghe's brain simultaneously received the result.

The result was simple and direct: one million US dollars, equivalent to 7 million dragon country currency or 26 billion vietnamese dong, a small fortune.

It turned out that this lottery not only included skills, but money as well; less than ten million dragon country currency might not seem like much, but at this stage of accumulation, with daily wages just over 30,000, it could accomplish quite a lot.

Li Qinghe made an allocation, converting 3.6 billion vietnamese dong into his Vietnam bank card, equivalent to one million dragon country currency.

The remaining six million dragon country currency was withdrawn into his Chinese bank card.

Li Qinghe transferred one million to his mother's bank card.

He had originally planned to save money for a while before transferring it home, but now that he had won a considerable sum, it was the perfect opportunity for Li Qinghe to fulfill his desire to give back to his family.

After the transfer, Li Qinghe sent a message to his mother's WeChat.

There was no reply for a long time after sending the message, but Li Qinghe didn't mind; his mother usually didn't check her phone much, only glancing at it after work, so he was used to it.

Li Qinghe's parents both worked at public institutions in their hometown, so while they didn't make big money, they had no worries about food and drink.

Li Qinghe's family atmosphere was a bit different from others, existing in a contradictory state of harmony.

His father was hands-off, as the saying goes, the kind of person who didn't like to worry; he was easygoing by nature, never competing or fighting at work, content to be a low-level clerk.

His mother, however, was the other extreme, with a strong personality.

Before he went to high school, his mother was extremely controlling, wishing he would even chew his food exactly as she demanded, which made Li Qinghe's upbringing extremely oppressive.

But after Li Qinghe left home for high school, something strange happened: his mother seemed to have completed her mission and didn't really bother him anymore.

Aside from sending living expenses on time each month, she usually didn't ask about him, especially after Li Qinghe went to university; if Li Qinghe didn't call home, he wouldn't receive a single call from home for an entire semester.

Every time he returned home for winter or summer break, peace could only last for three days; it was as if the novelty of being home wore off, and after three days, everything became an argument, sometimes even breathing through both nostrils was wrong.

Often, it was about how so-and-so's child was doing, and Li Qinghe had many arguments with his mother over this.

But as long as Li Qinghe had any reasonable request, his mother would do her best to help him achieve it, primarily complaining verbally but acting on it.

Li Qinghe had researched it during university, suspecting that his parents' upbringing might have caused a lack of security in their personalities and fostered a self-esteem born of inferiority, fragile and sensitive.

This led to people like his parents never actively expressing emotions; all psychological activities were completed in their minds, and they were stingy with expressing love and praise because saying it out loud made them very uncomfortable.

Sometimes they would even express care through criticism, which truly made such care a psychological burden.

And Li Qinghe, having grown up in this environment, was somewhat affected; he didn't particularly like this family atmosphere.

This was also one of the reasons why Li Qinghe chose to go to Vietnam after graduating from university.

He had been in Vietnam for over two months, hadn't called home once, and his family hadn't called him either.

Fortunately, Li Qinghe could confirm that his parents loved him in their hearts, so everything else was secondary; he hoped to tell his family after he made a name for himself in Vietnam.

Now, winning seven million from the lottery instantly gave Li Qinghe a lot of confidence; he didn't give too much to his family because even if he transferred a hundred million to them, his parents' lives wouldn't change, and they would save every penny for him.

So Li Qinghe planned to give 1 million initially, and then when he won more money later or his daily wages surged, he could continue to transfer money to his family.

After all, this wasn't a one-time transaction but a lifelong commitment.

Now, he would enjoy his life; after transferring the money, Li Qinghe felt completely relaxed as he planned his next steps.

As a young man, Li Qinghe was still willing to experience the beauty of this world, and all that beauty required money.

First, he went downstairs to finish the loving breakfast made by Nguyen Thi Linh; Nguyen Thi Linh had also fried two heart-shaped eggs for him, and the abundant love was as rich as the runny yolk of the eggs.

He put his photography equipment into his backpack, hopped on his motorcycle, and sped towards Hanoi National University of Education.

Li Qinghe was now even more adept at riding his motorcycle, weaving freely through traffic, and even received a thumbs-up from a young man at a red light, praising his motorcycle skills.

At the entrance of Hanoi National University of Education, he met the real estate agent he had booked in advance.

Now that Li Qinghe had a bit of money, he naturally chose a more efficient method, asking the agent to provide information on apartments within a 10-minute walk of Hanoi National University of Education.

Li Qinghe was extremely fast, and the agent was also quick; the two raced on their motorcycles and viewed three nearby high-end apartments within two hours.

Finally, Li Qinghe chose a two-bedroom, two-living room, two-bathroom apartment on the 11th floor, with an area of 75 square meters, complete with furniture, appliances, and free Wi-Fi.

The apartment lobby had security, a concierge, and the complex also had facilities like a swimming pool and gym.

The rent was 25 million vietnamese dong per month, equivalent to 6,800 dragon country currency, plus a property management fee of 50,000 per square meter per month, which was a little over a thousand dragon country currency.

Most of the residents in this apartment complex were white-collar workers from Hanoi's tech companies and foreigners, and the environment was excellent.

Li Qinghe first signed a one-year lease, paid three months' deposit, and then gave the agent 12.5 million as agent fees.

The agent fee here was 50% of the monthly rent, paid by the tenant; although different from China, Li Qinghe didn't want to dwell on it too much, considering the agent's diligent and efficient service, he deserved the money.

The apartment rooms had already been cleaned; if further cleaning was needed, he could pay for the apartment's cleaning staff to do it.

From the living room window, he could see the nearby Hanoi National University of Education campus.

Li Qinghe watched for a while, then prepared to leave, thinking that perhaps the next lottery would yield a luxury house somewhere in Hanoi, and then he could take A Ying or A Ling to experience it.

He took three sets of keys, put them in his backpack, and skillfully rode his motorcycle to the Hanoi National University of Education campus, waiting for A Ying at the snack street by the back gate.

After waiting for about half an hour, a large crowd of students poured out.

"Brother, let's go eat," an unusually cheerful voice rang out in front of Li Qinghe.

Li Qinghe looked up and saw A Ying, wearing a blue knitted sleeveless top and a pleated denim skirt revealing a pair of long legs, standing before him like a beautiful model in matching sports shoes.

A Ying

This blue-themed outfit looked particularly fresh, and combined with A Ying's curvaceous figure, she was quite eye-catching even among the many beauties at Normal University.

"You spend all the money you earn from your part-time job on clothes, but I like it; I'll sponsor some of your clothing expenses later, brother."

Li Qinghe affectionately scratched A Ying's upturned nose.

Since meeting A Ying, her fashion sense had always been excellent; in fact, her clothes weren't expensive, all of them were combinations she had found in the market.

Although the overall style leaned towards Korean fashion, who could refuse such a fashionable and exquisite beauty?

"A Ying, today, cooperate with me for a video; don't mind the camera's presence, just be together like we usually are."

Li Qinghe took out his filming equipment and reminded A Ying in advance.
