169: Dragon Bridge's Baptism of Fire and Water

The Haian Riverside Hotel is the closest five-star hotel to the Dragon Bridge, with a straight-line distance of 200 meters.

From the room, one can see the giant dragon on the bridge breathing fire and spitting water.

When Li Qinghe and the others arrived at the hotel, it was a weekend, and there were many reservations. The only room that could accommodate them was a riverside suite.

It had an area of 100 square meters, with one large double bed and two single beds.

The price was 5.5 million vietnamese dong per night, which is about 1,500 dragon country currency.

The Miss at the front desk processed Li Qinghe's check-in with a sweet voice, her eyes never leaving Li Qinghe's face.

By the time the procedures were complete, her gaze was almost melting.

A young man who could bring two women to a hotel at the same time, and was so tall and strong, must be a powerful person.

However, the accommodation fee was paid by Chen Yuyingqiong.

This instantly brought the Miss's eyes back to clarity; it turned out the wealthy one was this beautiful woman wearing glasses.

The hotel room was on the 11th floor, with two rooms, one large and one small, and a small living room outside.

As soon as Chen Yuyingqiong entered the room, she headed straight for the floor-to-ceiling window.

Indeed, staying in a river-view room here meant the Dragon Bridge was right at their fingertips.

"Brother He, Mei Jie, should we still go to the bridgehead and squeeze through the crowd?" Chen Yuyingqiong turned to look at Le Xuan Mai and Li Qinghe behind her.

It was 8:30 PM, and the bridgehead was already packed with Da Nang citizens and tourists from out of town, all waiting to watch the fire-breathing show.

"Since we're already here, let's go and experience it up close." Li Qinghe looked at Chen Yuyingqiong and patted her bun.

"Alright, I was hoping to be a bit lazy." Chen Yuyingqiong stuck out her tongue, looking embarrassed as if her little secret had been discovered.

"Then let's still go to the bridgehead and squeeze through. Brother He, you have to protect us, okay?" Chen Yuyingqiong's eyes behind her glasses sparkled like a little fox.

After being 'developed,' Chen Yuyingqiong felt much more lively, perhaps this was her true nature.

Of course, it's also possible that her change in status and having common ground with her roommates in the dorm made her much more relaxed.

After all, when she first met Li Qinghe, this girl's demeanor was quite poised and generous.

"Protecting you two is very simple!" Li Qinghe smiled, wrapping his left arm around Le Xuan Mai and his right arm around Chen Yuyingqiong. With a flex of his arms, he lifted them both up simultaneously.

He reached out to open the door, checked that no one was outside, then closed the door and carried the two of them directly to the elevator.

The hallway was filled with their laughter.

The man's immense strength gave them a strong sense of security.

They walked out of the Haian Riverside Hotel and headed towards the bridge with some other hotel guests.

Some activities are better experienced in person for a greater sense of involvement.

Being a little distant always feels like something is missing.

At this time, traffic on the entire Dragon Bridge had already been blocked, and not a single vehicle was allowed onto the bridge.

All the lights on the dragon's body were turned on, and the constantly changing colorful lights reflected on the Han River, forming a magnificent picture.

When Li Qinghe and the others arrived at the Dragon Bridge, it was a little late. The bridge near the dragon's head was already swarming with people, and crowds were starting to gather below the bridge as well.

Looking at the composition of the gathered crowd, there were many Westerners, and they were also trying to squeeze onto the bridge.

Although there were many people, it wasn't completely without gaps. Li Qinghe's strength and physique came in handy at this moment.

With his arm strength, no one could stand in his way. With just a gentle push, a large gap would appear in the crowd.

He smiled and kept saying, "SORRY," quickly pushing his way forward.

Because of his sincere expression and amiable attitude, many of the people who were pushed aside glanced at him and didn't make too much of a fuss.

Le Xuan Mai and Chen Yuyingqiong followed closely behind him, clutching his clothes tightly. At this moment, they more clearly felt the extent of Li Qinghe's strength.

Some clever people also followed directly behind Li Qinghe and his companions, moving forward together.

From a split-shot perspective, Li Qinghe saw himself leading people like a battleship cutting through waves, moving forward without hindrance.

If it were in ancient times, with Li Qinghe in full armor and wielding heavy weapons to charge a formation, the view from above would surely be even more spectacular than it is now.

If one had to assign a specific type of soldier, the Tang Dynasty Mo Dao soldiers would probably be the army where he could best exert his strength.

Under Li Qinghe's lead, all three pushed their way to the closest spot to the dragon's head. Li Qinghe changed positions, holding Le Xuan Mai and Chen Yuyingqiong in his arms to protect them, while he firmly withstood the pressure from behind.

There was a safety line here, and all citizens or tourists coming to watch the dragon breathe fire were absolutely forbidden to cross this safety line.

Because although the dragon's head breathed fire several meters above everyone's heads, it was, after all, real flames.

The necessary safety precautions still needed to be observed.

Li Qinghe had read the information, which stated that before each fire-breathing performance, Da Nang city staff had to fill two 50-kilogram fuel tanks into the dragon's head to sustain several minutes of fire-breathing for the entire evening.

As the performance time approached, the bridge and the area beneath it were packed with people.

Li Qinghe used the split-shot of his camera to look down from above, seeing dense crowds of people gathered in this area.

A rough estimate put the number of people gathered here at two to three tens of thousands.

Meanwhile, by the riverbank below the bridge, fire artists were performing, surrounded by a large crowd watching the show.

A male and female Westerner artist, holding flaming props, performed various tricks.

Zooming in on the crowd, one could also see many YouTubers filming videos. These YouTubers from various countries were introducing content related to the Da Nang Dragon Bridge in calm or impassioned tones.

Two YouTubers had the same idea as Li Qinghe, releasing two mini drones.

However, they were quickly asked by staff in the crowd to retrieve them.

Li Qinghe, meanwhile, leisurely watched the myriad of life below using the split-shot, no wonder many people like a god's-eye view.

Looking at the crowd below from this perspective, everyone felt very small.

Soon, the time for the fire-breathing performance arrived.

Everyone focused intently on the dragon's head, wanting to see every detail of the fire-breathing clearly.

Suddenly, a scorching flame erupted from the dragon's mouth.

"Oh~~~~" The surrounding crowd let out a gasp.

The flames shot out over ten meters in length in mid-air, and when viewed from a distance, it was quite spectacular.

Although it wasn't their first time seeing the Dragon Bridge breathe fire, Le Xuan Mai and Chen Yuyingqiong gasped like everyone else.

As if this was the standard procedure for watching the fire-breathing.

Each subsequent fire-breathing was met with a collective gasp from the crowd, a very well-coordinated response.

And the fire artists below the bridge also spun their flaming wheel props with gusto, earning a round of applause from the audience.

The two girls in Li Qinghe's arms cheered excitedly with each flame, as if receiving a lot of good luck.

What Li Qinghe didn't expect was that after the dragon's head breathed fire for nearly three minutes, the flames stopped, and immediately a high-pressure water jet, thirty to forty meters long, shot out from the dragon's mouth.

It directly soaked the large crowd standing beneath the dragon's head.

"Ah, Brother He, it's raining~~~" Chen Yuyingqiong cheered, tilting her head back to welcome the downpour.

"Brother He, after being drenched by this rain, all our bad luck will go away." Le Xuan Mai also cheered, exposing herself to the rain.

The water jet lasted for about a minute before stopping, marking the end of the evening's performance.

Because the two girls received a lot of rain and their clothes were quite thin, they both covered their chests with their arms.

"Brother He, quickly take us back, we're all wet." Chen Yuyingqiong giggled and hugged Li Qinghe's arm to shield herself.

Le Xuan Mai also followed suit: "Brother He, we're really wet, quickly take us back."

Alright, you're both wet, you're amazing!

Li Qinghe quickly protected them and ran towards the hotel.
