155: The Vietnamese daughter-in-law who came to the door

Later, Tran Ngoc Anh Quynh realized how serious and urgent Li Qinghe's words to her were, directly turning her private photos from last night into an eternal memory of her life.

Because overnight, her identity underwent a drastic change, transitioning from Tran Ngoc Anh Quynh to New Ngoc Anh Quynh.

Her mindset also changed significantly.

Because Li Qinghe taught her how ferocious a man's true face could be.

However, Tran Ngoc Anh Quynh not only quickly accepted Li Qinghe's ferocious side but also slowly fell in love with it.

At 4 AM, she proudly sent a message in her dorm chat group: "I'm so exhausted, this feeling is truly wonderful, it just didn't stop. If there's a roll call in class tomorrow morning, please answer for me."

She also took a photo of herself nestled in Li Qinghe's arms, showing his sharp, chiseled jawline and muscular chest.

As expected, neither of them got up in the morning, only slowly waking up around 11 AM.

"Brother He..."

Tran Ngoc Anh Quynh buried her head in Li Qinghe's embrace, greedily inhaling his unique scent.

This man, who opened up a new world for her, rendered all the experience she had learned from her roommates useless.

Because his performance completely exceeded the scope of ordinary people, yet, he was very gentle.

"A Quynh, how do you feel?"

"A little strange, but I feel fine..."

Perhaps due to her dance training, Tran Ngoc Anh Quynh's adaptability was also different from other girls.

Not all girls in this world experience stomach pain and inability to walk after seeing the new world.

That's only a small portion; most have no problem walking or anything else. Tran Ngoc Anh Quynh was like this; apart from a slight awkwardness, everything else was the same as before.

However, Tran Ngoc Anh Quynh used a snow-white bath towel and was now rolling it up, preparing to take it with her as a testament to this experience.

"A Quynh, are you free these two days?"

"What's wrong, Brother He?"

"I'm planning to go to Hoi An for two days, do you want to come along?"

"Oh, Brother He, I have a very important class these two days. The professor uses fingerprint check-ins, so I can't take leave. How about I come accompany you again on the weekend?"

Li Qinghe smiled at Tran Ngoc Anh Quynh's apologetic expression: "It's alright, A Quynh, class is important. There will be plenty of opportunities to go out and play."

Tran Ngoc Anh Quynh packed up the clothes she brought yesterday. The fabric scraps, strips, and stockings Li Qinghe bought yesterday were mostly torn and were directly thrown into the trash can; their mission was complete.

The two went downstairs to check out. Li Qinghe paid extra for a bath towel, but the motorcycle still needed to be rented.

Guided by Tran Ngoc Anh Quynh, they went to a street near Duy Tan University and ate a bowl of beef pho.

This was the best bowl of beef pho Li Qinghe had eaten in Vietnam so far.

The price was also good, 80,000 vietnamese dong a bowl, which is about 21 dragon country currency.

Because the beef in this pho was prepared differently from the traditional method, it was more like the traditional braised beef of the Dragon Country.

The tender, braised beef and brisket were placed on the noodles, then topped with the soul-stirring braised sauce. Li Qinghe, not yet satisfied, ordered another bowl.

He also spent an additional 80,000 vietnamese dong, just for beef, so this large bowl of beef pho was completely filled with beef, looking very tempting.

Before starting to eat, Li Qinghe scooped a good amount of beef from his bowl to Tran Ngoc Anh Quynh.

Seeing Li Qinghe enjoying his meal so much, Tran Ngoc Anh Quynh also picked up a lot of beef from her own bowl and fed it into Li Qinghe's mouth. Since they had already exchanged saliva, sharing food was nothing.

After a hearty meal, Li Qinghe rode his motorcycle to send Tran Ngoc Anh Quynh back to school. Just as he watched Tran Ngoc Anh Quynh sway her slender waist and disappear from sight, an unexpected video call came in.

It was Mother who called. Li Qinghe found a quiet place and answered the phone.

"Maomao, where are you now?"

Mother opened her mouth and called out Li Qinghe's nickname.

"I'm in Da Nang, what's wrong? Is there anything at home that needs money? I'll transfer some more back in a couple of days. You and Dad should eat and drink what you want, don't be too frugal."

Mother's expression was a bit off: "Maomao, didn't you say your girlfriend's name was Nguyen Thi Linh last time?"

"Yes, what's the problem? Did she call you? Can you understand each other?"

Li Qinghe smiled, looking relaxed. He hadn't expected A Ling to call his Mother-in-law. Thinking of her and Mother staring wide-eyed at each other on video, Li Qinghe couldn't help but chuckle.

"Stop grinning like that. I'm asking you, who is Vu Linh Huong?"

"Huh?"

Li Qinghe was indeed quite startled this time. He thought Vu Linh Huong was on a diplomatic visit in the Dragon Country, so why would she call Mother?

"Uh... Mom, don't get angry yet. If I say Vu Linh Huong is also my girlfriend, can you accept that?"

"You brat, running off to a foreign country and messing around, huh? Vu Linh Huong just called me and said she's already in town..."

Mother's words startled Li Qinghe again. Vu Linh Huong had actually snuck into his hometown without a sound, which was a typical 'sneak attack' move.

"Mom, let me tell you..."

In the inland areas of the Dragon Country, the idea of officialdom still largely prevails, especially in economic depressions like Akalin Province, where the intensity of competition for civil service positions is not much weaker than in Lu Province.

The most face-saving thing is when someone's child passes the civil service exam; a stable job is more important than anything else.

Next are those who earn money outside, but unless they are particularly big bosses, ordinary small bosses, although they earn much more than civil servants, are still not as highly regarded as those with official positions.

So, Li Qinghe explained Vu Linh Huong's background.

Li Qinghe watched as Mother's expression in the video immediately changed from slightly angry to serious.

"You brat, you did such a big thing and didn't even tell the family."

Facing Mother's accusation, Li Qinghe didn't take it seriously; it was as if saying something like this would make it happen.

"Mom, don't be too nervous. Just think of her as your daughter-in-law, and you're the Mother-in-law. It's always the daughter-in-law who's nervous to meet the Mother-in-law, never the other way around..."

"But I've never hosted a foreigner before..."

Li Qinghe encouraged Mother, knowing she was a bit nervous. The highest official she had ever met was a deputy county magistrate, and now a daughter-in-law from a foreign official's family was coming.

She had never had any experience with foreign reception.

"Mom, you don't need to worry too much. Lingxiang studied at Jingcheng University, and you've heard her on the phone; her Dragon Country language is very standard, so communication won't be a problem."

At the mention of Jingcheng University, Mother perked up.

Akalin Province's academic prestige hierarchy was no different from most places in the Dragon Country: Jingcheng University + Shuimu University > all other universities in the Dragon Country.

When Li Qinghe got into a 211 university in another province, it already brought great honor to his family. Now, hearing that the girlfriend his son found abroad graduated from Jingcheng University...

Her smile was like a blooming flower; this brought her immense pride.

Later, when chatting with colleagues at work, she could casually drop a line: "My son is so disappointing; he wouldn't take the civil service exam, nor would he be a teacher. He ran off to a foreign country to mess around. Thankfully, he found a decent girlfriend; she graduated from Jingcheng University."

This would definitely be the pinnacle of showing off.

Li Qinghe saw Mother wipe her hands on her body, knowing that she was preparing to buy some good dishes to entertain Vu Linh Huong.
