320: Special authorization of S$200,000

"Emily, are you still living with your family?"

After finishing the meal, Li Qinghe slowly sipped the lemon water provided by the restaurant and turned to inquire about Emily's family situation.

"Yes, boss. Single individuals under 35 in Singapore are not allowed to buy HDB flats, and buying a condominium is too expensive. I haven't saved much money from working these past few years."

Emily honestly told Li Qinghe about her situation.

Her family lives in Clementi, which is considered a prime location adjacent to a wealthy area, and it's a place with a high concentration of native Chinese people.

This area has resources from several universities, such as the National University of Singapore, where Emily studied. So, from primary school to university, Emily never had to travel more than half an hour from her home.

Now, the only place she works that is a bit far from home is Orchard Road, which is about a half-hour subway ride from her house.

Actually, when Emily first came to work for Li Qinghe's company, it was mainly for the 8,000 singapore dollar monthly salary.

Because the secretarial service company would not share Li Qinghe's financial information with Emily, she was merely a job seeker using the secretarial service company as a stepping stone.

So, after joining, she still didn't know the actual strength of her boss or how long this company would last.

She originally planned to work here while continuing to look for new companies.

However, after first seeing Li Qinghe's Bentley and then this entire floor of office space, Emily had a very direct impression of Li Qinghe's wealth.

Regardless of how much liquid capital Li Qinghe has, these fixed assets alone classify him among the wealthy class in Singapore.

Her job with a monthly income of 8,000 should be secure.

But Emily still wanted to understand Li Qinghe's capabilities further.

"Boss, what other assets do you have? Tell me to strengthen my confidence in working for you."

Emily boldly expressed her inner desire.

"You're here to work, not to be the boss's wife. Asking such detailed questions, are you trying to become the boss lady?"

Li Qinghe didn't humor her and directly shot back.

Being retorted by Li Qinghe, Emily didn't get angry; she stood up with a smile: "Boss, let's go open the company account first; it will take a few weeks."

Watching the increasingly lively Emily, Li Qinghe didn't stop her.

If a secretary is too rigid, it would be quite boring.

He would see how Emily performs in her work later. She was evaluating Li Qinghe's capabilities, and Li Qinghe was also evaluating her capabilities.

If she proves to be very capable, Li Qinghe might transfer her to Qingling Cosmetics Group to be a corporate secretary.

That would offer much greater development space than Qinghe Worry-Free Media.

Leaving the restaurant, Li Qinghe first took Emily back to the office and set up an administrator account for her in the password lock of the entire floor.

From now on, the access control for the entire 36th floor would be within Emily's control.

Emily was overjoyed to receive this authority. For her, it meant gaining Li Qinghe's trust.

Soon, the two went to the DBS Bank branch on Orchard Road to open the company's account.

As Singapore's largest bank, their branches are spread throughout Singapore and Southeast Asia.

Emily was very familiar with the various banking procedures, and with her cooperation, Li Qinghe quickly completed the company account opening process.

Li Qinghe directly transferred 1 million singapore dollar as registered capital into the account.

This money was sufficient to cover the initial expenses of setting up the business. If it wasn't enough, Li Qinghe could continue to transfer more money into it.

With a daily salary of nearly 700,000 singapore dollar, he easily surpassed many listed companies.

Furthermore, Vu Linh Huong also had the Qingling Cosmetics Group, and three of its products were already selling out, with money pouring into her pockets.

So, Li Qinghe wasn't striving to make money now; he was simply pursuing his interests.

"Sir, your procedures have been completed. You just need to wait 2 to 4 weeks, and your corporate account will be officially activated."

The ordinary-looking bank employee told Li Qinghe in a sweet voice that the procedures were done.

"Boss, what are we going to do next?"

Emily followed Li Qinghe out of the bank, standing on the steps at the bank entrance, tilting her head slightly as she looked at Li Qinghe.

Li Qinghe was not misled by her cute appearance. He casually pulled out a pair of sunglasses and put them on, then looked Emily up and down.

That almost tangible gaze made Emily involuntarily shrink back.

The young boss's eyes behind the sunglasses made her feel a bit sinister. Just that one glance made Emily feel as if she had been seen through completely.

So, she instinctively hugged her chest and stepped back.

Just that one glance made Li Qinghe secretly laugh, no wonder Singapore's birth rate couldn't go up.

This girl in front of him was 25 and still single.

The social atmosphere created by the Lee family's comprador class had ruined the Chinese girls.

These girls could earn some money themselves, so one by one, they were ambitious, wanting to marry a domineering CEO, and as a result, many women in their thirties were still single.

However, Indian and Malay girls in Singapore were having babies like crazy.

And among Chinese young men, it was not uncommon for those in their 40s to be unmarried.

Those who were particular would go back to Chinese language mainland to find wives.

Those who had no such requirements would find wives in Malaysia, Thailand, or Vietnam.

In fact, there are quite a few Chinese people in these Southeast Asian countries, such as Malaysia and Thailand, including the Philippines.

Especially since Malaysia and Singapore are so close, not to mention that the two were once one country, many dietary customs of the Chinese here are very similar to those of Singaporean Chinese.

It has always been an important source of new immigrants for Singaporean Chinese.

But now, on the streets of Singapore, the proportion of Indians is increasingly high.

"Bo... Boss, what are you doing?"

Emily cautiously asked Li Qinghe, who was staring blankly at her.

Li Qinghe almost wanted to reply, "Do you!"

Considering it was her first day at work, he decided not to scare her yet.

"You still have to ask me such a simple thing as what to do next. I'm wondering if it was right or wrong to entrust the company to you?"

Li Qinghe's words made Emily's face flush red.

"I'm sorry, boss. I just thought you were here, and I wanted to respect your opinion."

"I'm giving you the authority. Any company expenditure under 200,000 singapore dollar doesn't need to be reported to me. You can decide."

Li Qinghe, with a single statement, granted Emily significant authority.

This made Emily, who had initially thought her boss was interested in her, instantly forget all other thoughts.

Such a large degree of autonomy was placed directly in her hands, making Emily suddenly feel a sense of loyalty, as if she would die for a benefactor.

Of course, Emily didn't know this saying, because she received a Western-style education in Singapore.

Although she could read and write Chinese language, it was only at that level; there was a slight lack in a deeper cultural understanding.

If you talked about historical allusions or idioms with Singaporean Chinese, their minds would be blank.

So, only a few English words like "trust, loyalty" dryly popped into Emily's mind.

How pitiful to lack cultural heritage.
