256: My brother-in-law wants to be as strong as an ox or a horse

Vu Van Nghia was a bit displeased at first, even though Li Qinghe had already 'eaten' Vu Linh Huong.

However, that didn't mean Vu Van Nghia was happy about him 'eating' Vu Linh Huong.

Now, seeing Li Qinghe with a somewhat frivolous look, he frowned and was about to remind Li Qinghe to remember who was in charge.

Then a thought struck him: 'Good heavens, I almost missed a great opportunity!' Looking at Li Qinghe's calm eyes, he knew that just like that amazing makeup, Li Qinghe still had good things in his possession.

No wonder Li Qinghe could maintain his energy from North Vietnam to South Vietnam, capable of filling any deficiency; it must be the effect of the mysterious formula he possessed.

A few years ago, he was also fortunate enough to be taken by a Jingcheng University classmate to see an old Chinese doctor, who was said to be a descendant of imperial physicians.

At that time, according to Vu Van Nghia's physique, he was prescribed several doses of medicine that made him feel energetic and happy for two and a half years.

Later, when he went again, the old man had already passed away, and unfortunately, his descendants had not inherited his exquisite medical skills.

Vu Van Nghia took several doses of medicine, but none gave him the same vigorous feeling as the old Chinese doctor's medicine.

This left Vu Van Nghia quite regretful, but now, seeing Li Qinghe's hint,

he gestured with his eyes to Li Qinghe, 'Can you make me as strong as an ox?'

Li Qinghe replied with his eyes, 'A piece of cake. As strong as an ox or a horse is no problem.'

A look of joy appeared in Vu Van Nghia's eyes. If it really worked, this brother-in-law would be like his own brother.

"Brother, Qinghe, what are you two doing? Standing there looking at each other, it's like you're plotting something."

"Nothing, I just see that Brother Wenyi has been busy lately and looks quite tired. It seems even 'harmonious nature' couldn't relax him much. I'm going to give him a few acupuncture needles to restore his vitality."

Li Qinghe smiled and explained the content of their exchange to Vu Linh Huong.

In the villa at the Seventh Military Region camp in Vietnam a few days ago, Li Qinghe had often given Vu Linh Huong acupuncture.

He would stick a few needles in her morning and evening, making Vu Linh Huong deeply realize that this man was a treasure.

The many abilities hidden within him didn't need to be forced out; they were the kind of talent that just gushed forth.

Now, seeing that Li Qinghe was willing to help her brother regulate his body, she couldn't help but walk over and tuck Li Qinghe's arm into her embrace.

"Qinghe, this is my only brother. You must help him get his body in tip-top shape!"

It was clear that the relationship between these two siblings was indeed very good.

The brother would think for his sister, solve problems for her, and arrange many, many things for her, embodying the image of a standard good brother.

And the sister also maintained a deep affection for her brother. Now that she had found a very capable boyfriend, and after personally experiencing Li Qinghe's highly effective acupuncture, she also wanted her brother's health to improve.

"That's a must!"

Li Qinghe's reply, with a Northeastern accent, made everyone laugh.

Vu Van Nghia and Vu Linh Huong both studied in Jingcheng, China, and there were many Northeasterners around them.

As for Li Qinghe, when he was studying, there were also quite a few Northeastern friends.

So, it wasn't at all out of place for these three southerners to mix in a bit of a Northeastern accent when speaking.

Nguyen Thi Xuan Tao, who was following behind, looked bewildered at the three people in front, speaking a language she didn't understand, and just silently followed.

To accommodate Vu Linh Huong's mountain climbing, she had also changed into a set of sportswear today.

Without her training uniform, and with that cold face, she looked very much like a runway model.

Nguyen Thi Xuan Tao, with her stern, pretty face, had quite a deterrent effect.

Along the way, in crowded sections, Nguyen Thi Xuan Tao would proactively go ahead to clear the path. Seeing her serious expression, everyone would instinctively give her some space.

Although Vietnamese people are combative, most ordinary people also dislike trouble, and many who come here to play bring their families, so those with children try to avoid conflicts.

The four of them thus made their way to the Black Virgin Mountain Plaza at the summit.

This plaza was designed like a park, with abundant flowers everywhere and a constant stream of visitors.

There were also many fairytale-like houses, showing that Tay Ninh Province had invested a lot of capital to develop this tourist attraction.

Of course, the 400,000 vietnamese dong entrance fee, equivalent to about 108 dragon country currency, is not cheap, whether in Vietnam or China.

However, it includes a 1.2-kilometer round trip cable car ride, which makes the price seem less unacceptable.

Actually, Vu Van Nghia could visit for free just by showing his work ID.

But for Li Qinghe and the others, none of them lacked this small amount.

Later, Li Qinghe paid.

In one corner of the park, there was also a specially designed curved photography platform for visitors to check in and take photos.

At the center of the entire plaza stood the tallest bronze statue in all of Southeast Asia, the 72-meter-tall Black Virgin Goddess statue.

According to legend, the Black Virgin was the daughter of a local chieftain who later converted to Buddhism. After ascending to the Western Paradise, she continuously protected the people living near Black Virgin Mountain.

The people also erected a statue for her and worshipped her year-round.

The Black Virgin Goddess statue was crafted with great dignity and grandeur. Before reaching the main statue, one had to pass through several platforms, with different bronze statues erected on each step.

They looked like subordinate deities of the Black Virgin.

In the grand hall beneath the Black Virgin Goddess statue, there was a very large 3D screen.

The screen displayed a 3D-rendered Black Virgin Mountain temple.

The scene was grand and magnificent, as if in another space here, such a sacred mountain temple truly existed.

Besides this 3D screen, the entire hall was arranged like a museum, displaying many Buddhist gold artifacts and stone carvings. Looking at the introductions to these related items,

many of them were collected from the vicinity of Black Virgin Mountain.

After leaving the Black Virgin Mountain temple, the four first climbed to the Black Virgin Mountain's peak observation deck.

Here, there was a small mountain peak statue, inscribed with an altitude of 986 meters. Only then did Li Qinghe realize that the highest point here was called Ba Den Peak.

Countless tourists climbed on it to take photos.

Standing on this observation deck, one could truly feel that the height of Black Virgin Mountain completely overlooked the entire Mekong Delta.

High ground has always been a strategic point for military contention. No wonder the North Vietnamese army fought several fierce battles with the American forces here; it was because this strategic elevation could provide excellent cover for the Ho Chi Minh Trail emerging from the nearby Cambodian mountains.

During their tour, Li Qinghe heard many tourists speaking Cambodian, who were part of the first group to become wealthy in Cambodia.

Relatively speaking, Vietnam's economic development is considerably better than Cambodia's.

Therefore, wealthy Cambodians are willing to visit neighboring countries, first climbing Black Virgin Mountain, then touring Saigon.

After all, Cambodia's primary religion is Buddhism, so first visiting Black Virgin Mountain to admire the statue and cleanse the soul, and then going to the bustling Saigon, seems less decadent.

When they return to Cambodia, they can naturally let go of everything with a clear conscience. As the Buddha said, let go of attachments, and all will be at ease.

Next time they visit, they can follow the same process again.

Because Black Virgin Mountain is only 40 kilometers from the Moc Bai border crossing between Cambodia and Vietnam, and even Saigon is only a little over a hundred kilometers away.

After descending from Ba Den Peak, the four officially toured the Linh Son Tien Thach Pagoda, which enshrines the Black Virgin. And throughout the temple, there were traces of Chinese language.

The temple's name itself was written in proper Chinese characters. Why was this?

PS: After writing this section, the author thought of 'letting go,' so an image of A Ying leaning by the window was generated. All vigorous and energetic readers can go back to Chapter 52 and take another look. See if it's what you imagined! Come back and tell me after you've seen it.
