152: The reality that roommates can't believe
There's a Vincom Plaza about a kilometer away, which is the equivalent of Wanda Plaza in China.
The products are very comprehensive, and it's considered a high-end mall in Vietnam.
Li Qinghe found what he was looking for inside: sheer gauze, tie-ups, beaded strings... Li Qinghe wanted to say that he really didn't understand these things; the world of a photographer is beyond the comprehension of ordinary people. He just thought they looked good from a man's perspective.
In the lingerie store, Li Qinghe was the only male customer leisurely browsing the products.
Finally, in a corner, he saw QQ lingerie. Although the area wasn't large, there was a good variety.
Several female customers watched with shining eyes as Li Qinghe took a pile of fabric scraps and straps to the checkout.
"This handsome guy actually likes this kind of thing. We have so much in common!"
So, next to the cashier, a shapely Miss leaned in and said, "Brother-in-law, handsome guy, do you have a Zalo account? Let's chat sometime!"
Li Qinghe flicked his head, and his glasses slid down from his forehead. The Miss had a dark green health bar above her head, with a slight reddish tint at the edges.
After a period of research, Li Qinghe had figured it out: green health bars also had differences. If the number of experiences was small, or even if it was just broken, it would be light green with a hint of white.
If the number of experiences was high, it would be dark green; if she was battle-hardened and loved by many, it would be dark emerald; if it was green to the point of being black, it must be very loose.
And this Miss was clearly quite promiscuous and didn't pay much attention to hygiene.
"Brother-in-law, thank you for your approval. I recommend you get a gynecological check-up at the hospital."
Li Qinghe communicated with the Miss gently and politely.
"None of your business!"
The Miss walked out of the store with a dark expression. She couldn't stay in this store; a simple flirtation had turned into a Waterloo.
She had originally thought she'd met a charming and understanding handsome guy, but who knew she'd encounter someone who told her to get a gynecological check-up? It was so infuriating that her silicone even felt a little painful.
Li Qinghe shrugged, watching her back. So, some people don't believe you even when you tell the truth.
Li Qinghe paid at the front desk. A total of 8 sets cost him thirteen million vietnamese dong, which is more than three thousand five hundred dragon country currency.
Indeed, they say that the unit price of underwear is more expensive than real estate, and there's a reason for it.
He put the purchased items into a paper bag and then into a slightly larger packaging bag. The 8 small pieces of clothing didn't amount to much. Li Qinghe simply carried the bag and left the mall.
Behind him, the female customers in the store who had witnessed his entire checkout process were discussing the topic of a man buying QQ lingerie alone in a lingerie store.
Everyone was guessing whether the handsome guy bought the lingerie for a woman or for himself.
Having been next to Thailand, they had heard all sorts of strange things, and it wasn't as if they hadn't seen men buying QQ lingerie for themselves.
However, when they thought of Li Qinghe's tall and strong physique and his sunny and handsome face, they felt that Li Qinghe probably hadn't bought it for himself. They wondered which woman would get to enjoy such a man tonight. They were truly jealous.
Li Qinghe exited the mall, hung the packaging bag on the hook in front of the footrest, and rode his motorcycle towards the entrance of Duy Tan University.
He only spent ten minutes in the mall to get everything done. He had originally thought about buying a DSLR, but then he realized it wasn't necessary. Carrying a DSLR around was very troublesome.
And Li Qinghe was someone who disliked trouble; things that could be solved by taking out a phone from his pocket were the most convenient.
As one of the best private universities, many students at Duy Tan University come from good family backgrounds, which is directly reflected in their fashionable and trendy attire. Their overall demeanor also matches children raised in a privileged environment where they want for nothing.
Li Qinghe sat at the school gate for a while, watching these trendy boys and girls enter and exit Duy Tan University.
Many people had bought motorcycles, and there were even a few young people who had bought cars.
Although they weren't supercars, just a few Japan cars, in an environment surrounded by motorcycles, they essentially had the effect of sports cars.
After waiting another ten minutes or so, Chen Yuyingqiong walked out with a bulging backpack.
"Brother He, you must have been waiting impatiently."
Chen Yuyingqiong had an apologetic look. With a slightly conflicted mindset, she quickly packed some clothes that could be used for the photoshoot.
She even brought matching shoes, just as she had told Li Qinghe, feeling both nervous and excited.
While in her dorm, she had also called home, saying that she had a group project and would be staying very late in the lab.
Since she had done such all-night projects before, her family didn't suspect anything and said they understood.
There's an old Chinese saying, "the elbow bends outward," which basically describes Chen Yuyingqiong's current situation.
But as adults, one is responsible for their own decisions.
Chen Yuyingqiong clearly came prepared.
As night gradually fell, Li Qinghe took Chen Yuyingqiong's backpack, placed it on the footrest, and rode the motorcycle, following Chen Yuyingqiong's directions, towards a seafood restaurant 2 kilometers away.
This was a seafood restaurant whose name, when translated, meant "Seafood Master."
It was just dinner time, and the tables inside the restaurant were already packed with people.
However, listening to them, it was clear from their conversations that they were all local Vietnamese.
Li Qinghe parked the motorcycle in the outdoor parking lot, picked up Chen Yuyingqiong's backpack and his own paper bag, and walked inside.
This was a restaurant full of Southeast Asia charm, with rattan lampshades and ubiquitous green plants highlighting its unique character.
The entire restaurant was filled with the aroma of seafood, indicating that the chef's culinary skills were excellent.
Indeed, as a seafood restaurant frequently patronized by locals, it still had its unique qualities.
Like those coastal seafood restaurants in China, there was a large shed specifically built here, filled with baskets of fresh, live seafood.
From their size, the seafood here was very plump and delicious; the mantis shrimp were as long as an elbow.
Customers would come directly to the seafood area, order their meal, and then just wait for it to be served at their table.
The seafood in this store generally ranged from 200,000 to 700,000 vietnamese dong per kilogram, which translates to roughly 50 to 190 dragon country currency per kilogram.
According to Chinese customs, that's about 20 to 100 dragon country currency per jin. From a price perspective, it's not too expensive. It's truly a matter of personal preference and budget when ordering.
Looking at these plump seafood items, Li Qinghe's appetite immediately surged, and he discussed it with Chen Yuyingqiong.
They ordered fried calamari rings, garlic-fried mantis shrimp, Thai curry crab, steamed tiger grouper, garlic oil stir-fried lobster, ginger and scallion stir-fried clams, spicy stir-fried razor clams, curry conch, and finally, a garlic stir-fried water spinach.
It cost almost 3 million vietnamese dong, which is more than 800 dragon country currency.
Chen Yuyingqiong didn't think too many dishes were ordered like other girls might, because she knew that shellfish seafood looked like a lot, but in reality, it wasn't that much when eaten.
The two sat down at a recently cleared four-person table near the entrance.
Their relationship had reached this stage, so the two didn't sit opposite each other like others. Instead, they chose to sit on the same side, placing their backpacks on the opposite seats.
"Brother He, I sent the photos from this afternoon to my roommates..."
Nguyen Ngoc Anh Quynh was the first to open the conversation. She had posted the beautiful photos Li Qinghe took of her this afternoon, as well as their joint photos, on Zalo.
After her roommates saw them, they left countless comments, unable to believe that she had found such a tall and handsome boyfriend.
Some roommates jokingly asked if she had hired a male model from a muscle-man bar to accompany her for such photos.
In short, everyone found it hard to believe that she had found a boyfriend who could walk a runway overnight.
