210: There is a feeling growing
"A Xing, be careful."
Li Qinghe quickly steadied Li Mingxing, who had almost rushed into his arms.
"Brother Qinghe, what kind of martial arts do you practice? Wing Chun or Bajiquan? Did you take them all down in just a few moves?"
Li Mingxing anxiously looked up at Li Qinghe, who was standing there. She had only seen the result, not the process, and felt a bit regretful.
"A Xing, don't worry. A-Qi and I both saw it; we'll tell you all about it."
Li Mingyue placed her hand on Li Mingxing's shoulder, accidentally touching Li Qinghe's hand. Instead of pulling her hand back as if it were burned, she lingered on Li Qinghe's fingers for a moment before letting go.
Li Mingyue's gaze towards Li Qinghe held a subtle hint of anticipation.
Sensing all of this, Li Qinghe realized that Southern girls were indeed fiery.
Even though the girl in front of him was of Chinese descent, she had been influenced by the environment of Saigon to become a passionate and wild little cat.
If he hadn't seen the white strips on Li Mingyue and her friends' heads earlier, Li Qinghe would have thought she was a warrior who had been on the battlefield.
"Actually, I practice Tongbei Quan and Tan Tui. My martial arts are just so-so; mainly, I was born with great strength."
Li Qinghe didn't mind telling Li Mingyue and Li Mingxing about the martial arts he practiced.
He wasn't worried about the motorcycle gang trying to seek revenge.
First, did they even get a clear look at Li Qinghe's face on the road?
At the very least, the motorcycle gang probably didn't remember Zhang Meiqi and her friends' appearances.
The only one who might have had a direct encounter was Li Mingxing, but in her panic, her features were distorted. Even if they were to see her face-to-face now, the motorcycle gang might not recognize Li Mingxing.
Furthermore, the kick Li Qinghe delivered to each of their waists was enough to ensure they'd spend the rest of their lives in wheelchairs.
And even if that group of people could somehow track him down, Li Qinghe wasn't worried at all.
Vietnam, like China, had implemented a nationwide gun ban.
Therefore, the probability of a shooting incident here was very low.
The triads in Saigon, at most, would engage in brawls with machetes, steel pipes, and baseball bats. Even if they had guns, they were used with extreme caution, primarily serving as a deterrent.
If they dared to use guns, Li Qinghe still had Task Force 141, a unit of over 80 people, and he wouldn't mind turning this into a major case that would shock all of Vietnam.
After all, without sufficient surveillance footage, finding people who had seemingly vanished into thin air would be a fantasy. At most, they'd find some traces that had been dealt with.
"Brother Qinghe, you really did practice leg techniques! No wonder I thought your side kick was incredibly cool."
Zhang Meiqi stood to the side, a brilliant smile on her face.
Today was truly a great gain; Li Qinghe was actually a martial arts master.
Only Li Mingxing suffered, but if Li Mingxing hadn't been robbed by the motorcycle gang, none of them would have known that Li Qinghe was such a good fighter.
Thinking of this, Zhang Meiqi glanced at the bandages on Li Mingxing's hands and feet. Fortunately, the wounds were not large or deep, and should heal in about half a month.
As long as they were well-protected, there shouldn't be any obvious scars.
"A-Yue, you can tell A Xing all the details when we get home. Let's not say too much here."
Zhang Meiqi was a year older after all, and her considerations were more thorough. She knew not to say too much outside, as walls have ears.
Although the clinic was a Chinese clinic, not all the nurses were necessarily Chinese. Fortunately, not all Vietnamese people could speak Mandarin.
What happened tonight would just be their little secret among themselves.
At Zhang Meiqi's reminder, Li Mingyue and Li Mingxing also promptly closed their mouths, glancing at the curious doctors and nurses nearby.
The four of them left the clinic and each got on their motorcycles.
Li Mingxing checked and found that her bones were fine; she only had some superficial wounds. After applying medicine, she was only limping a bit when walking, but otherwise, there were no problems.
"Brother Qinghe, I have to thank you. If you hadn't intervened, my bag would have been stolen."
Li Mingxing sat diagonally on the back seat of the motorcycle, looking gratefully at Li Qinghe. Only then did she remember to thank him.
She was the most stimulated tonight.
On one hand, she was terrified by being pulled off the moving motorcycle, and on the other hand, she was shocked by how swiftly Li Qinghe dealt with the gang.
At this moment, the more she looked at Li Qinghe, the more pleasing he seemed.
"A Xing, looking at Brother Qinghe like that, do you want to bring him home tonight?" Li Mingyue turned around and saw Li Mingxing looking at Li Qinghe in that way, and couldn't help but tease her.
"Okay, A Ma would probably like him very much."
Li Mingxing casually agreed, then after a while, realized: "No, that's not what I meant. I meant he's so handsome and can fight... Oh, I'm not explaining it!"
"Haha, A Xing, you've fallen for Brother Qinghe."
As a sister, Li Mingyue mercilessly began to mock Li Mingxing.
"Tonight, Brother Qinghe was a hero saving the beauty, no wonder A Xing is smitten."
Zhang Meiqi also chimed in, but a sudden pang of jealousy arose in her heart. After all, she was the first to meet Li Qinghe, but she didn't know how he and Li Mingxing had gotten involved.
"Alright, you two just make fun of me. Let's go home!" Li Mingxing playfully slapped Li Mingyue's shoulder.
It took almost ten minutes to ride from the clinic to the alley where their two families lived. Three motorcycles successively entered the not-too-wide alley. From the outside, the houses on both sides of the alley looked no different from other Vietnamese self-built houses.
Only the 'Five Blessings Descending' couplets pasted on the doorframes and the large 'Fu' character on the doors identified these as Chinese families.
Fortunately, most of the residents in this alley were Chinese. Zhang Meiqi and Li Mingyue's families were less than 20 meters apart, and the houses were uniformly about four meters wide.
Zhang Meiqi explained that this area was uniformly planned by the Saigon government for the Chinese community.
Li Mingyue and her family arrived home first. They said goodbye to Li Qinghe at the entrance. Li Mingyue rode her motorcycle directly to the entryway at the main door, where two other motorcycles were already parked.
The design of Chinese homes differed somewhat from Vietnamese designs; entering the house required passing through two doors.
One was the outermost glass door, leading into an entryway where a shoe cabinet was placed against the wall. The family's motorcycles were usually parked here.
Given the size of this space, parking seven or eight motorcycles was not a problem at all.
Further inside from the entryway was the actual iron door leading into the house, which served as the most important security measure for the family.
"Brother Qinghe, come visit us when you have time!"
Li Mingxing waved vigorously at Li Qinghe outside with her uninjured hand.
Li Mingyue also turned and waved at Li Qinghe.
They had already exchanged contact information with Li Qinghe in the afternoon. Being of Chinese descent and having majored in Chinese language at university, the two sisters had not only Zalo accounts but also WeChat.
This truly showed their Chinese roots; they quickly adopted things from their homeland.
"Heal well, and remember to change your bandages." Li Qinghe also waved back, watching Li Mingyue support the limping Li Mingxing as she entered the house.
Only then did he ride his motorcycle to take Zhang Meiqi home.
"Brother Qinghe, my house is right here. Thank you for today."
Parking her motorcycle at the doorstep, Zhang Meiqi put her hands behind her back and smiled sweetly at Li Qinghe, a strange emotion secretly stirring.
It was only their first day meeting, and since it was evening, she couldn't very well invite Li Qinghe inside for a visit.
It was better to wait until they were more familiar with each other.
"I'll continue to hang out with you for another day tomorrow. I've uploaded the content I filmed today to domestic video platforms. A-Yue and A Xing said they don't need blurring, but do you need blurring?"
