174: Encountering a student from Longguo
Nguyen Thi Linh's newly discovered Rice Noodles shop wasn't far from Hanoi University.
It was only three streets away, a quick drive.
Li Qinghe parked the car in a roadside spot.
The shop was packed with customers, both floors completely full of people.
The Rice Noodles here came in two varieties: pork and beef.
Pork Rice Noodles cost 45,000 vietnamese dong, which was about 12 dragon country currency.
Beef Rice Noodles cost 60,000 vietnamese dong, which was about 16 dragon country currency.
If it were the old Nguyen Thi Linh and Nguyen Thi Trinh, they would never have come to eat Rice Noodles at this price point.
At most, they would have eaten something costing 30,000 vietnamese dong.
Now that they were with Li Qinghe, their spending habits had changed significantly.
Especially Nguyen Thi Linh, after experiencing so many expensive situations with Li Qinghe, she was no longer so cautious about spending money.
The generous allowance Li Qinghe gave her each month was spent on clothes, cosmetics, and going out with Nguyen Thi Trinh and A Ying to find all sorts of delicious food.
So, she ate the tens of thousands of vietnamese dong Rice Noodles here without any pressure, directly treating it as a canteen with Nguyen Thi Trinh.
Li Qinghe ordered the grilled beef Rice Noodles, while Nguyen Thi Linh and Nguyen Thi Trinh ordered the grilled pork Rice Noodles.
Soon, Li Qinghe's grilled beef Rice Noodles were served on a Vietnamese-style bamboo woven tray, containing perilla, cilantro, mint leaves, with a layer of grilled beef on top of the mint leaves.
Next to the green vegetable leaves were Rice Noodles and dipping sauce.
Grilled Rice Noodles
Some bright red chili peppers were sprinkled on the grilled meat and dipping sauce.
Li Qinghe picked out all the chili pieces from the meat and put them into the dipping sauce bowl; although he could eat spicy food, he didn't particularly like completely raw chili.
It needed to be marinated a bit to be flavorful.
The beef was also marinated before grilling, locking in a lot of juice, so it wasn't dry.
The lemon juice in this shop's dipping sauce was perfectly balanced, just as Nguyen Thi Linh had said, the taste was excellent.
After staying in Vietnam for a long time, Li Qinghe had adapted to the local flavors; eating sweet and sour or spicy and sour food no longer made his stomach protest as it used to.
"Brother He, will you accompany me to class this afternoon?"
Nguyen Thi Linh swallowed the Rice Noodles in her mouth and quietly asked Li Qinghe.
After what happened at noon, she was still a bit worried; if Li Qinghe was by her side, she would feel much more at ease.
Li Qinghe noticed Nguyen Thi Linh's concern and readily agreed, as he also needed to prepare for the other party's retaliation.
After eating, the three drove back to the opposite side of Hanoi University and reclined their seats in the car for a short nap.
When they went to class in the afternoon, Nguyen Thi Linh went to the adult education building, and Li Qinghe, accompanying Nguyen Thi Linh, made the atmosphere in the class a bit restless.
Everyone had heard about what happened at noon, and several girls in Nguyen Thi Linh's class had clearly seen that Nguyen Thi Linh was the protagonist of the conflict.
Nguyen Hue Phuong and Nguyen Thi Thuy Ngoc, along with their other acquaintances, came over to express their concern to Nguyen Thi Linh.
Listening to Nguyen Thi Linh recount the thrilling moment at noon, they occasionally looked at Li Qinghe with admiring eyes.
Li Qinghe was now considered a 'god-tier boyfriend' in their class.
He was handsome, rich, and could fight.
He was a pure hexagonal warrior, without any weaknesses.
Fighting was not something difficult for young people to accept.
Especially in the hot and humid environment of the tropics, hot-tempered Vietnamese were not well-behaved, coupled with a history of many years of war.
A fight was simply a common occurrence.
Li Qinghe had heard in his conversations with Vietnamese people that the further south you go in Vietnam, the more chaotic it becomes.
Motorcycle snatch-and-grab cases, strictly controlled in Hanoi, were rampant in Saigon, not to mention other places.
Therefore, Li Qinghe's status in Nguyen Thi Linh's class became very special after a fight.
Originally, he was just Nguyen Thi Linh's boyfriend; now, he became Nguyen Thi Linh's very capable boyfriend.
Even a few girls actually found Li Qinghe on TT, realizing he was a significant internet celebrity, and excitedly ran over to ask for his autograph.
Perhaps Li Qinghe was the most famous person they knew in their lives.
Li Qinghe saw that the situation was getting a bit out of hand, so he whispered to Nguyen Thi Linh during the break, put on his 'passerby glasses,' and left the classroom.
Because of his low presence, Li Qinghe wandered around the entire teaching building and made a new discovery: in a corridor, two boys were chatting in Dragon Country People, but their accent was very familiar, and one of them was undoubtedly from Guangxi Province.
"Hey, brothers, you're from China, aren't you?"
Li Qinghe took off his 'passerby glasses' and proactively greeted them.
Since coming to Vietnam, Li Qinghe had been quite cautious; apart from his previous contact and interaction with Lao Guang and other UP hosts, he had basically not contacted any Dragon Country People compatriots.
On the one hand, he wanted to experience authentic Vietnamese life, and on the other hand, there could be many internal conflicts among Dragon Country People compatriots.
Li Qinghe didn't want to get involved in such troublesome matters with them, so keeping a distance was a very suitable method.
However, in the university, seeing these international students who were clearly from China, Li Qinghe suddenly developed an interest in interacting with them.
Relatively speaking, these international students were here to study, so there would be much less miscellaneous trouble.
In fact, having been in Vietnam for so long, there weren't many opportunities to speak Dragon Country People, which made Li Qinghe somewhat miss the days of freely speaking Dragon Country People.
But being here was for a better life, so Li Qinghe still chose to stay here.
Li Qinghe chatted with the two Dragon Country People international students for a while and learned that one was from Guangxi Province and the other from Guizhou Province, both majoring in Vietnamese.
The international student from Guangxi Province was named Wei Shichao, and the international student from Guizhou Province was named Xiong Hui.
They were now in their third year, and their studies had begun to involve aspects of Vietnamese tourism, culture, history, and other courses.
Li Qinghe learned from them that in the four-year undergraduate program in Vietnam, the first two years were dedicated to basic Vietnamese, and only in the third year would more life-oriented and in-depth Vietnamese content be introduced.
By the fourth year, it would be a study of translation between Vietnamese and the international students' native languages, at which point they would be divided into small classes for each country.
So, before their fourth year, international students attended mixed classes, with Dragon Country People, Koreans, Japanese, and some Malaysian and Filipino students, plus Vietnamese students, making it a complete international squad.
While chatting, Xiong Hui suddenly grinned: "Li Ge (Brother Li), let's take a photo together, I'm your fan."
Li Qinghe looked at Xiong Hui with some surprise; it was the first time he had met a Dragon Country People fan of his in real life.
He naturally granted Xiong Hui's request for a photo.
"Li Ge (Brother Li), two of your girlfriends are studying at Hanoi University, right? You're living really well."
Xiong Hui's face was full of envy.
"Oh? You've seen them?"
"Yes, sometimes during class, sometimes when going to lunch, I recognized them at a glance. Mainly because the 'electronic girlfriend' series Li Ge (Brother Li) filmed was so good."
Xiong Hui honestly recounted how he had encountered Nguyen Thi Linh and the others.
Because the impression was deep, he recognized them at a glance.
"Li Ge (Brother Li), it's my first time seeing you in school..."
Once the conversation started, Xiong Hui became like a little fanboy, telling Li Qinghe many things.
"Li Ge (Brother Li), you were the one who fought in front of the teaching building at noon, right? You taught them a good lesson."
Wei Shichao, who was beside them, also interjected.
From the conversation between Li Qinghe and Xiong Hui, he learned that the tall, beautiful girl among the new Vietnamese students this year was actually Li Qinghe's girlfriend.
He immediately connected it to the noon incident, because everyone said it was a tall boy and a tall girl.
"From what you're saying, you have a grudge with that group of people?" Li Qinghe looked at Wei Shichao.
