10: City

The azure sea, the cool air brushing against his body, the wonderful feeling of flying, and the pure happiness of finally leaving the giant rock in the sea—as Ning Ruogong flew over the ocean towards the South Continent, many emotions welled up in his heart.

He looked at the two people flying with him, surprised to find them so calm. They didn't show a hint of emotion because of the flight.

"This must be a common occurrence for them," he thought. He looked down at the deep blue ocean, seeing a few fish swimming by. This reminded him of the zoo where he worked. Part of the zoo had a small aquarium with small to medium-sized fish. Although his job was to care for land animals, he would sometimes go to see the aquatic animals' living environment.

He had originally wanted to swap into the sword, but temporarily decided against it. If he was inside the scabbard, he would miss the beautiful scenery before him.

He looked ahead and saw a small beach on the shore, and behind the beach was the largest forest he had ever seen. Even including the rainforests he had seen on television, they couldn't compare to these. The cultivator stood high enough that he could see the forest stretching as far as he felt forever.

As soon as they arrived at the beach of the South Continent, the two cultivators suddenly accelerated, flying hundreds of times faster than they had over the sea.

"Why are they only speeding up now? Is this forest too dangerous, and they need to leave as quickly as possible? Or was the sea too treacherous, and they had to be cautious with every step?" He could think whatever he wanted, but he wouldn't get an answer anytime soon.

The two talked for a while longer, and Ning tried to listen to their words again. He was very sure he had never heard a language with such sounds.

"Hey, System. Can you translate what they're saying?" he asked.

<System cannot directly assist with communication with other organisms>

"Directly? If you can't, then help me indirectly." he said.

<System can allow you to learn the language of Kumiya Planet>

Now he could immediately understand these two people.

"Oh, that's great. All right, teach me." He looked forward to it happily.

"book"

do to open the shop.

"What the hell? I thought you were going to teach me." He suddenly got angry. He was tired of hearing that everything required opening a shop, but he was never told what to

the two flying people, they would immediately run and hide in the bushes.

"So teaching me a language counts as direct assistance? Ugh, fine." He looked at the huge forest again, occasionally seeing some strange-looking animals, all unique to this world. However, these animals would hide as soon as they saw the people in the sky.

"Are these people so powerful that the animals are all hiding from them?" he thought.

This gave him another idea. "If they are very powerful, they must output a large amount of energy when fighting. I wonder if I can absorb it while staying in the scabbard. Wait, what if I swap bodies with the sword itself? Can I gain a lot of energy?" He believed his thinking was correct.

"Hey, System. Swap my body with the blade in the scabbard." He commanded the System.

<System warns against swapping bodies with a weapon>

"Huh? I'm not allowed to do that? What happens if I swap bodies with a weapon?" he asked.

<Weapons are tools for transferring one's own energy to other objects>

<This usually means that the energy in the weapon comes from the user and is transferred to the object they are aiming at>

<Essentially, weapons are one of the worst choices for transferring bodies>

"Oh. Hmm... I guess that makes sense." It took him some time to understand what the System meant, but once he did, he was happy to remain in the scabbard.

The two flew at their fastest speed for over an hour, arriving at a small City with walls facing the outside of the forest and buildings on the other side of the forest.

The two landed in an open area where people wore similar clothes. They were almost like they were wearing uniforms, everyone in the same attire. And the clothes worn by the two men happened to be what they were wearing.

Gray-blue cloth robes with black belts at the waist. However, others wore white belts. Ning thought that these people must have a special status to wear something different.

"Hmm... Most of these people are just kids, right? I thought they were adults because of their long hair, but they're only 25 at most." He saw young people walking towards the men and greeting them.

Ning watched as everyone bowed to the two men as they passed.

He didn't understand what people were saying, but even so, he could still tell how respectful they were.

After the men called out, a young boy stepped forward, and the two handed their swords to the boy. After bowing, the boy took Ning and left.

"Huh? Where are they taking me?" he asked curiously. The young man walked for a few minutes and arrived in front of a large building. He walked into the building, took out a metal necklace, and hung it on the wall.

Suddenly, the wall opened, and Ning saw it filled with swords and armor, all kinds of weapons. The young man walked in and placed the sword against the wall.

"Hmm?" Before Ning could understand what was happening, the young man walked out of the room, leaving the scabbard where Ning was inside the room.
