130: Strong Pure Cocaine
Ning was surrounded by immense noise and high temperatures, yet, none of that was enough to be an obstacle for Ning.
Separating the corpse into sound and heat, it lessened the intensity of what was distracting him.
However, he couldn't maintain it for too long. Just standing in the darkness meant he would steadily gather Yin Qi from the environment, which was not conducive to what he wanted.
Thus, he did not hesitate to use One True Spear Strike, firing it forward at the woman. However, the attack did not land on her.
The woman was agile enough that she could easily dodge his attack and move out of his Yin energy gathering range. The spear strike didn't land at all.
He tried once more, this time attempting to stop her with Telepathy, however, it didn't work. Telepathy did not work on the woman.
'Damn it. She's heavier than me. I can't stop her,' Ning thought.
Telepathy was the only ability Ning had that could use both his mind and energy simultaneously. It had a certain range, which seemed to increase as his mental strength grew.
When he used Telepathy, he had to use mental strength if the target was lighter than him, and he had to use energy if the target was heavier than him.
Since the system disabled all energy-related abilities, the energy aspect of Telepathy was also disabled. So, Ning could no longer use it on things heavier than him.
Once again, the woman easily escaped the incoming spear strike. "Damn it, I can't use spear strikes on her," he thought.
So, he switched to the Revolving Spear Art.
He started slowly moving the spear from side to side, revolving the spear around him while steadily stacking its damage.
The woman's eyes became serious. "This is the technique that stops with every rotation, isn't it? I can't let you do that," she said, sending another blue wave towards Ning.
The attack directly hit the ground where Ning was standing, but Ning was no longer there. The woman belatedly looked to the side to see him sitting horizontally on the wall of a building.
Ning pushed himself to the side and landed on the wall.
He once again used his movement skills and Qi thrust to charge directly at the woman.
It was too late to dodge now. "Die," the woman shouted, as she made a vertical slash where Ning was coming from. Spear and sword collided between them, making a loud clang...
When Ning saw what had just happened, he widened his eyes.
His proud spear actually had a crack in it. The crack wasn't very big, but it was enough to severely reduce the item's durability.
"Damn it, a true spiritual artifact is something else," Ning thought.
The situation was getting worse. Seeing the crack in the spear, the woman started slamming her sword at Ning.
Ning held the spear above him with both hands to block the sword. Attack after attack slammed into the spear, cracking it more and more.
"Hahaha, you're dead now," the woman shrieked, as she kept wildly slamming her sword onto the spear. The spear got more and more cracks, but the damage it took lessened and lessened.
The woman who had a chance to kill Ning completely forgot why she was staying away from him in the first place.
The spear was on its last leg, and with another hit from the woman, it was destroyed. The sword went past the spear and went towards Ning's shoulder. He widened his eyes.
Ning let go of the spear and grabbed the flat side of the blade with both hands. "Wha—" the woman was shocked.
Ning twisted the sword to the right while skillfully kicking towards the woman's head.
Bam!
The woman was sent flying into a house.
"Tsk. That hurt, you bastard," she said as she walked out of the rubble. "Just what did you think you were doing attacking me like—" She stopped when she saw Ning standing a little further away.
His clothes were starting to catch fire, and the noise was really strong now. However, what stopped the woman from speaking was what Ning held in his hand.
He was holding her sword. "Give it back, you bastard," she shouted as she used Qi to pull the sword back to her. She had refined the sword and could thus freely control it with her Qi within a certain range.
The sword tried to leave Ning's hand, but he held onto it tightly. The woman stretched her arm to pull the sword harder, and then she noticed it.
Her blue arm had lost its characteristic color and reverted to its normal pale white. "What—what?" the woman said in surprise. Her Corpse Qi was gone, and without it, she was now as strong as any normal 9th Qi Condensation realm cultivator.
That... was not strong at all in front of the current Ning.
The woman realized this too. From her fight with Ning, she knew he was strong, just not as strong as her.
However, now the situation had changed, and it was very dangerous for her.
Instead of pulling the sword, she pushed the sword back and ran for her life. Ning wouldn't let that happen. He immediately pulled out the broken spear and threw both halves of the spear at the woman, one after another.
One half of the spear missed, but the other half managed to pin her to a tree on the side of the road. The woman screamed as she pulled out the spear and broke free, but it was too late.
Ning had already arrived and sliced the woman in half with a sword.
