36: Ask for the next island
Ning looked in the direction Hyesi pointed, but all he saw were tall palm trees and coconut trees. From his position, he couldn't see anything else, not even the sea.
"Are you saying there's an island in that direction?" he asked again to confirm.
"Yes, Inikaka. There's an island in that direction, and it's just a short walk to get there," Hyesi replied.
"You said there are big leaves there. Are the plants there different from these?" he asked.
"Yes, very different. The trees there are thick and hard, and there are also small trees growing in groups, and the strangest thing, Inikaka, is that there are even small trees growing slightly off the ground. Walking on those trees is much more comfortable than walking on the sand. I used to go there often with the patriarch and the others," Hyesi began to recall the old days.
"Small trees? Is he talking about bushes and shrubs?" Ning thought. "If so, then there might be food there."
"Why did you go there?" he asked.
"We? We went there to collect huge leaves to build houses, or hard wood to make spear shafts, or small, sturdy stones for spearheads. Sometimes, we even went there to kill some animals for their meat." As he spoke of meat, Hyesi's mouth almost watered.
"It sounds like the vegetation there is much better than here. There are even wild animals there." Ning decided to continue asking more questions.
"You don't go there anymore? Why?" he asked.
"Inikaka, I just said that the demon Fufurike doesn't even let us go to the seaside. So, for the past two years, we haven't gone anywhere," Hyesi began to feel sad.
"Hmm..." Ning thought for a moment, then asked, "If there really is meat, branches, and leaves there, why don't you stay there? What are you doing staying on this island where even water is hard to get?"
"But, Inikaka, the trees there are too big, and you can't be seen until very late. So, we can't farm at all. And if we can't farm, we can't even kill fish," Hyesi's words made sense.
"I understand. That makes a lot of sense. I wonder what the other island is like. I should go see it," he thought. He was very interested in the description of this island and wanted to go see it.
"I should actually wait until I'm more energetic before going. Then I'll teleport there and see if there's anything that can help me find some food for these poor people. This should be a good option until I become strong enough to defeat that demon."
Hyesi finished covering the stone house with various dry leaves. Although it didn't look very good, it was still functional, and Ning accepted it.
Over the next ten-odd days, Ning helped Hyesi cultivate and replenish his own energy. Hyesi's progress during this period was incredible. Even Ning himself was surprised at how much devouring Yin and cultivating the Sun God's Morning Wash technique helped a person with a weak constitution.
The speed of his power increase was at least fifty times faster than before. In just about twenty-five days, he helped Hyesi gain the equivalent of three years of power.
However, stronger than him was his mother, Bellini. Although her cultivation was not as good as Hyesi's, she was still more than a year stronger than Hyesi. His already strong mother was now even stronger.
Thinking that the current Hyesi was already too strong to be called Hyesi, Ning decided to go see the new island he most wanted to visit. Before going to the next island, he took a final look at his status.

"Damn, I'm so close to having a body," he thought. "But even if I have a body, I still need to earn more points to make this body work in this state. And I might also need food to sustain this body." He thought of all the requirements for maintaining a healthy body.
"Hey, System. If I get a new body and need to switch it later, will that body die? Or can I use it again?" he asked.
"If you leave the body and do not return, the body will continue to decay like all corpses."
"Damn! This is bad. However, if I want to travel the world like a normal person, I need a body. Uh... never mind, I'll think about it when the time comes. For now, I have to go to that island."
He brought Hyesi to the house he had built and asked Hyesi to place a small stone on the ground. Ning planned to use this stone as the source for teleportation.
The interior of the house was good, with some dry leaves spread on the ground, looking very clean. Ning was already lying on the small stone in the middle of the room.
Then he said, "Hyesi, I'm going to be away for a short time. I don't know how long, but I will be back. Come back every day to see if I've returned."
"I understand, Inikaka. I will do as you say every day," Hyesi bowed his head to the ground.
"Alright then, I'm leaving. When I return, I will personally help you defeat that demon, just as you've always wanted to do."
Hyesi was incredibly excited after hearing this and began to nod desperately.
"Alright then, I'm leaving."
'System, teleport.'
"Confirmed."
The stone disappeared from in front of Hyesi.
