81: Speak for yourself
He sighed at the expected reaction.
He didn't have much energy, so he opened the rulebook.
Thank goodness, there was a chapter about Beast Bags in it.
Upon entering the sect, one is given a Beast Bag that can hold up to 2 tamed beasts with a total weight of less than 200kg.
“This isn’t too bad.
Even my Interdimensional Storage has a total weight capacity of about 110kg.
Even so, I doubt I would need 200kg of space to store my Night.
He barely has any weight.
I’ll just store him in my own storage,” he thought and tried to store Night.
However, no matter how hard he tried, he couldn’t pull Night in.
“What?
Why can’t I pull him in?” he wondered.
<Anything living cannot be pulled into your Dimensional Storage>
“Oh, right.
I forgot.
I’m so used to the idea of storing my body that I even forgot that was a thing.
So, I guess I really have to use the Beast Bag, huh?” he asked.
<You can purchase your own Beast Space>
“I can?
But I already have a Beast Bag, what’s the point then?” he asked.
<Beast Bag can only store beasts and cannot interact with other things>
<Beast Space nurtures all the beasts inside, allowing them to gain access to the outside aura, and if needed, also increase their growth and heal them>
“Oh, that sounds good, how much is it?” Ning asked.
<You can purchase a Beast Space with 5kg of usable storage weight for 20 million points>
<Every 1 million energy increases the storage weight by 1kg>
“That’s too cheap, isn’t it.
But what do you mean by a single Beast Space?
Are there multiple?” he asked.
<You must buy a separate space for each different beast so they can be stored separately>
“I see.
It’s cheaper than my Dimensional Storage though.
But that’s probably because I bought the time-stopping version.
Put it at the top of my auto-buy list.
I’ll buy it later.”
“Now, you can sleep in the Beast Bag, Night.” He said as he sent Night into the Beast Bag.
“Aiya, idiot, why are you talking to yourself,” Ning heard someone say and turned around to see it was that Ya Zi guy, who seemed to still be angry about being humiliated earlier.
“Everyone, look at this idiot.
He does nothing but talk to himself, hahaha,” Ashius started saying loudly.
Now, only the male group was left as they were led to one side of the Outer Sect residences.
“Did he catch me talking to the system?
I should be more careful,” Ning thought.
“What do you want?” he asked Ya Zi.
“Haha, tell me, are you an idiot?
Why are you talking alone?
You must have something wrong with your brain,” he said.
“Oh,” Ning said, a bit annoyed and wanting to punch the guy right now, but he controlled himself, and then, he asked him: “Then you tell me first what?”
“What?
Tell you what?” Ya Zi asked, confused.
“Oh, tell me, why were you talking alone in the hall just now?” Ning asked.
“What?
I wasn’t talking alone.
I was talking to the girls just now,” he said.
“Is that so?
But I didn’t see any girls reply to you, are you sure you didn’t mistake it?” Ning asked.
Ashius started getting angry.
He was about to say something to protect his image when Ning spoke first, saying: “Oh, wait, I’m sorry, I misremembered.
You were indeed talking to the girls.
I even remember what they said.”
Ya Zi’s face changed as he heard what was about to be said before Ning could say it.
He immediately attacked Ning, trying to stop him from speaking.
Ning, however, was not distracted by this; he simply dodged the attack, kicked his leg to trip him to the ground, “Yeah, they said they already had boyfriends and didn’t want to talk to you.”
“What?
They said that?
Haha,” the rest of the group started laughing when they heard it.
Ashius started getting up to attack Ning again when the leader of their group intervened.
“If you two cause any more trouble, I’ll have the Elder expel both of you,” he said.
“Haha, sorry, big brother,” Ning said.
Ya Zi also apologized through gritted teeth, Ning couldn’t imagine how much Ya Zi hated him.
Soon, they arrived at their living quarters.
Ning and four other disciples were assigned together to live in one house.
Thankfully, he didn’t have to share a room like in the orphanage, so at least he was happy.
He returned to his room and started studying the rulebook.
He needed to focus as much as possible in the coming days to buy all sorts of things.
“I need to increase the cap again.
Sigh, the cap is 10 billion now.
Am I going to disappear into the sect for some time to gather that much energy?” he thought.
But he wouldn’t do that.
That would mean he couldn’t continue cultivating anymore.
Instead, he planned to greatly increase his cultivation base while accumulating energy to double the cap.
“Now I can’t cultivate all the time either.
I need to stop and use the Yin Fire Conversion Technique and Yin Sound Conversion Technique.
Both of these techniques require 10 billion each.
Sigh, this will take a long time.”
Either of these energies would take 250 days to reach the required 10 billion energy.
If he wanted to quadruple it, that would be almost a year of him continuously gathering energy without spending it anywhere.
“That would be impossible.
Even if I don’t consume a large amount of energy, I will still be stuck on gathering energy for about a year straight.”
“Oh, God.
I wish Kinetic Energy was nearby.”
