89: New Technology

Ning walked out in the morning, but he could no longer sustain his body. Thinking of this, he couldn't help but laugh at himself.

The very thing he often wished to see ultimately deprived him of the ability to exercise his body.

It was snowing at the time.

Due to the clouds obscuring the sun, he was unable to practice the Sun Gods Morning Purification Technique. In fact, over the past few months, he had been unable to practice several times due to cloud cover or the rainy season.

Therefore, his body seemed somewhat lax compared to his Qigong cultivation.

"I need to find a new method of body cultivation," he thought. He wanted to find a way to use heat energy so that he could use the Vaginal Heat Conversion Technique all night, consuming his mental energy while simultaneously cultivating his body.

But since he needed to increase his hat, he didn't even bother to ask if such a physique cultivation technique existed.

"Hey, Ning, are you up already?" A man walked out of the house. His name was Skarben, and like Ning himself, he was also a disciple of the inner sect.

"Yeah, I have to go work at the Beast Gardens. The beasts need to eat," Ning said.

"Honestly, you should stop doing that. I heard Regiel's arm was eaten by a beast. You should resign and join the Beast Training Team. We actually need everyone who can come. Alas, the exam is too difficult for most people," Skarben said.

Ning just smiled and ignored his words. He quickly went to the Beast Feeding Hall to get food for the beasts. As usual, even in the cold weather, Soria stayed at the reception, trying to scare away another group of new recruits.

He saw Regiel brandish his stick, scaring off the new disciples; Ning just laughed self-deprecatingly.

"Hello, Sister Soria, Brother Regiel. I'm here for the food," Ning said.

"Hello, Ning, is it your turn today?" Soria asked.

"Yeah, it's his turn. Here, take this." Regiel handed him another storage bag. Ning exchanged two storage bags for an empty one he always carried with him.

Soon, he arrived at the beast grounds and fed the different beasts. Over the next two days, he spent his time doing the same thing, earning another 30 coins.

On the third day, he got out of bed again. "Alas, another cloudy day." He looked at the sky and thought. Doing nothing but cultivating quickly became boring.

His life needed some seasoning.

"I've been practicing these techniques, but I haven't put them into practice yet. Let's go hunt some beasts in the forest. Hopefully, I can find another beast too. That would be fun," he thought.

So, he left the sect and went to the forest.

In fact, there were already quite a few people in the forest trying their luck to find a magical beast, or just practicing their training there.

He walked for a while before beginning his search for beasts. But according to rank, most beasts were either adult beasts or utterly useless ones.

Suddenly, a large bipedal bear saw him and began to walk towards him.

He looked at the bear and thought, "An Earth Bear?" It wasn't the best-ranked, but definitely above average. He looked at the bear's cultivation and found it was at the fifth layer of the Qi Condensation Realm.

"That's one level higher than me, but considering it's equivalent to my body cultivation realm, I should be fine," he thought, pulling out his blood-red spear.

He was here to train two different techniques. The first was a spear technique. Instead of just a thrusting technique like the "One-Hit Kill" technique, he learned another technique called "Revolving Spear."

This alone cost him 15 gold coins, so he knew it was quite good. This technique was weak when used once, but as the user continuously used it, power would begin to accumulate on the spear; the longer the user persisted with the technique, the more powerful it became.

Ning began to revolve the spear around his body, accumulating power on it. At the same time, he also began to move his body, as if dancing on a battlefield.

This was Ning's second technique, called Hypnotic Dance. This technique could put anyone looking at him into a state of calm, making them passive.

The same thing began to happen to the bear. At first, the Earth Bear was quite aggressive, but once he started dancing, it began to become docile. Then, Ning launched his first attack.

Slash!

A wound appeared on the bear's chest, and blood began to flow down. The bear awoke from its stillness due to the pain of the wound.

"Tsk tsk, I underestimated its defensive capabilities," Ning thought. He had intended to kill the bear with one blow, but due to its strong defense, he only ended up wounding it.

Now, thanks to the wound, the bear would no longer be in a state of pause. "Anyway, I don't need to rely on it anymore," he thought. Ning did not stop using the Revolving Spear technique, so the spear's power continued to accumulate.

The bear attacked Ning's chest with its huge claws. Ning barely dodged and struck another blow to the bear's body.

This wound was more severe than the last. "The energy is indeed continuously accumulating. As long as I can keep it up, the wounds will increase greatly," he thought.

He continuously left more and more wounds on the bear until it could no longer bear it and died. Ning stopped, out of breath.

Although the power did increase greatly as he continued, it also took a toll on his stamina. He let out Night Dew and had him eat the bear's meat while he gasped for breath.
