92: Uncontrolled
<Congratulations Host, you have unlocked Kinetic Energy>
This was the sentence he had always wanted to hear, and he finally heard it. He thought, "Kinetic energy, finally." He was finally free from the burden of having to continuously collect energy every day without expending any.
He could finally utilize his energy without guilt.
"System," he felt like he hadn't called it that in a long time, "Heal my body," he said.
<This will cost 68,000,000 Energy. Are you sure?> "Yes," he said. <Confirmed>
"Hey, that kid is still breathing. Sogol, go kill him," one of the men said.
"Alright," the other man said, then rushed towards Ning. However, before he reached Ning, he saw that the wounds on Ning's body were slowly healing, even the one from the sword.
'What...' The man was startled, but still didn't stop. He reached back and threw a fierce punch at Ning.
Ning's wounds had already healed, with only the sword in his shoulder remaining. He saw the man coming towards him, so he grabbed the sword with his left hand and pulled it out.
Both he and the sword fell to the ground, and he barely dodged the man's punch. Ning still held his spear in his right hand, so he took this opportunity to launch a true spear attack at the man.
Bang
A huge gash appeared on the man's body, and he fell to the ground, dead.
Suddenly, a green mark appeared on one of the beasts in the crowd, disappearing in an instant.
After that, the beast ran away from the crowd as if it had finally gained its freedom.
Ning stood beside the corpse, surprised that he had killed a person without hesitation, and he felt nothing about the man's death.
The system told him that his emotions were amplified, but he felt nothing towards the person he had killed at his feet.
"Is that because I don't care about this person's life?" he thought. The world of cultivation was a place where the strong survived and the weak died.
"I am stronger than him, so I can live." He looked at the remaining group of people and thought, "Am I stronger than all of them?"
"Golgoro!! That person... him!" Everyone was startled, and Ya Zi watched Ning with wide eyes.
Ning looked at his left hand and the sword he held. It was an ordinary sword that could be found anywhere, but, "This will do," Ning thought.
Ning had never used a sword before, but he didn't need to.
"System, give me a sword technique for approximately 500 million energy," he said.
<The system recommends you acquire 'Blazing Sacred Sword' for 523,000,000 energy>
"Alright," Ning said. <Confirmed>
Suddenly, a wave of information appeared in his mind. He knew what he could do with a sword and how to use this technique. Compared to the staff, this was more suitable for the current situation.
So, he put his spear into his dimensional storage and held the sword with both hands.
"That bastard. He killed Brother Sogol. Everyone attack." One of the men said.
Ning slowly took a breath, opened his eyes, and slowly, the sword began to turn yellow. Then Ning took a step forward and slashed down.
A long row of yellow blades detached from the sword and flew towards the group of people. Those people suddenly stopped and ran away, but for the rest of the beasts, the blade was too fast.
Multiple screams rang out as the beasts in the way were injured or died.
"No!" The men also screamed. Yashus stayed far behind, never taking out his two beasts so he wouldn't be attacked.
Watching the terrifying scene, the men screamed, "You're dead now, you bastard."
But Ning heard nothing. He was only surprised by the intensity of this attack and how much Qi it required. This single attack almost exhausted all of his Qi.
He looked at his trembling hands and thought, "I'd better not use that attack casually. The others should do well enough," he thought, contemplating the different sword strikes of the Blazing Sacred Sword.
The sword in his hand began to turn yellow again. The color and intensity were different from last time, but those people couldn't tell and started to panic.
Then Ning disappeared.
Ning finally displayed his full abilities without holding back. He suddenly appeared behind one of the men and slashed straight up.
The two halves of the same man fell on either side of him. Even in death, this man didn't know what had happened.
But Ning disappeared again.
When Ning arrived behind another person, another head fell to the ground, and two people saw Ning's head from where that person's head should have been.
Ning glanced at Ya Zi and disappeared again. He reappeared behind Ya Zi and swung his sword down.
Clang
One of the Qi Condensation Realm Seventh Stage cultivators stopped the sword in mid-air, and a sound followed. The other Seventh Stage cultivator was still alive. He quickly ran to the young master's position and began to prepare for escape.
The person fighting Ning managed to block his sword and even pushed it back. Then he swung at Ning, and Ning also swung at him.
There was no metallic clang, but a ding sound of a sword being cut in half. Ning was surprised to find that it was his own sword that had been cut in half.
Ning then looked at the man's sword and asked in surprise, "Is that a Spirit Artifact?"
"What's wrong with you, you bastard?" The man said and then began to sway towards Ning. Ning jumped back to dodge and pulled out his Blood Red Spear.
Ning prepared a "One True Spear" attack and attacked the man with his sword. The man also used some techniques and attacked Ning. However, just as the attack reached Ning, Ning disappeared.
Suddenly, the last person watching the fight from not far away was blasted headless by the spear.
