115: His End
Ya Zi had been searching for a clan of monsters for his father's work, so he and his retainers were searching here.
"Where did they go? They were just here," one of his subordinates said.
"I know, go find them quickly!" he commanded.
The five retainers and their young master searched everywhere for the monsters but still couldn't find them; they had completely lost track of them.
"You idiots. We need to find them again; they're running around somewhere here," he said. He was about to say something else, but then he saw a man standing a little distance from him, bald and with an evil smile on his face.
The kind smile on Dr. Ning's face was clearly visible throughout the City, but that contradictory expression looked like a murderer's.
"You—who are you?" Ya Zi asked.
Dr. Ning's smile grew colder, and he asked, "You don't remember me?"
The people were somewhat confused until someone recognized him: "Is that Dr. Ning from the Volunteer Hall?"
"Oh, yes. Now that I look closely, it is," another person said.
Ya Zi was a little confused and was about to say no when he remembered that voice, the voice of the person who scared him the most, the one who caused him nightmares.
He looked more closely at the face, eyes wide. The person next to Jacob was the one who had helped him escape last time and was also very familiar with this person.
However, the other four were completely indifferent to the current situation.
"Take the young master and run!" the man shouted, startling everyone in the process. He immediately drew his sword, ready to fight.
Ya Zi also realized he had to do something. He cautiously threw himself into the wind and began to flee at his fastest speed.
The four attendants didn't know what to do but decided to follow the young master, as the situation seemed quite terrifying.
"Why are we running from the doctor?" one of them asked.
"That's not the doctor, you idiots. That man is the murderer who killed my former assistant!" Ya Zi said loudly.
Dr. Ning watched Ya Zi flee, but it didn't matter. They were deep in the jungle, and he could easily kill the person in front of him and catch up to the fleeing ones at any time.
"You won't escape this time," the man in front of him shouted.
"Ah, you seem to have no idea how this will proceed. You see, I will kill you, and then I will go and kill your young master. This should be the proper consequence for what you did last time, shouldn't it?" Dr. Ning asked.
"You—you monster. You've already killed so many people, and you're still not done?" the man asked.
"As long as the culprit is alive, I won't be done," he said, and as soon as he finished speaking, he pulled out his blood-red spear and continued his attack.
Dr. Ning made some simple swings to test the sword but quickly realized it wasn't the spiritual weapon of the last person he had killed.
This would be easy, and he became excited. His killing intent emerged, and his eyes were slightly red. His maniacal face also became completely unrecognizable because of this.
The man looked at him in horror. He was sure he would lose to this person, but he still stood there and fought. Ya Zi's father was his benefactor, and he would do anything to protect his child.
"Yah yah yah," he shouted, rushing forward, swinging his spear, but Dr. Ning merely dodged and wounded his arm with the spear. It was only the tip of the spear, so the wound wasn't large, but it still took away some of the man's fighting power.
"Ah," he grunted, his left arm holding the sword growing weaker. Blood flowed down his arm until it dripped from his elbow, but he didn't drop the sword.
He rushed forward again to attack, but Dr. Ning merely blocked with his spear, delivering another equally sized cut above the previous one.
Then, he swung his spear, striking the longsword he had just blocked, breaking it in half. The man immediately threw away the longsword and tried to retrieve another from his storage bag, but Dr. Ning attacked again, cutting off the man's right arm in the process.
"ARGHH!" the man shouted loudly this time, making any lingering thoughts disappear as fear consumed him. He forgot his gratitude and the need to protect the young master. So, he turned and ran.
"Alas, you are all the same," Dr. Ning thought, holding the spear with one hand as if it were a javelin, then extending his arm back as far as possible and throwing the spear at the man.
The spear made a loud sound as it left his hand, and in the blink of an eye, it pierced the man's head and stuck into a distant tree.
The man fell to the ground, blood gushing from the hole in his skull, and he died.
Dr. Ning felt no remorse at the scene; instead, he began to feel happy, a little too happy about successfully killing the man.
He walked forward and pulled the spear out of the tree. The spear was halfway embedded in the tree. He looked in the direction Ya Zi had run and said:
"Teleport me one kilometer from that distance."

Dr. Ning suddenly found himself in a different location. Looking around, he wanted to find the running people, but he didn't need to; they were right there.
Not far behind Dr. Ning, Ya Zi, and the group, they looked at the person who had just appeared in front of them, holding a blood-red dripping spear, and immediately began to feel afraid.
Ya Zi knew this was his end.
