91: Joining together

“No? You don’t want to hand it over to avoid death?” Ashius asked.

“Haha, are you going to kill me? What about the sect’s punishment?” Ning asked. According to the sect rules, causing physical harm to other disciples would result in severe punishment, including paying for the injured disciple’s treatment and other expenses.

However, if one killed another disciple, he or she would have their cultivation foundation destroyed and be expelled from the sect.

“What? Are you scared now, so you’re starting to make excuses to survive? Don’t worry, nothing bad will happen to me. As long as the sect doesn’t know I killed you, I’ll be free from any punishment, otherwise I will be punished,” Ashius said.

Ning sighed. It seemed fighting was the only option here. He only hoped that his Body Cultivation Realm of nearly Level 6 and Qi Condensation Realm of Level 4 would be enough to deal with the seven people here.

Just as he thought that, 10 more opponents appeared out of nowhere, shocking Ning to his core.

As he looked at these 10 different beasts, he thought, “All seven of them brought out beasts.” “I didn’t expect them all to have beasts. They aren’t even from the Mist Origin Faction,” Ning thought.

“Attack,” Ashius said, not even giving Ning time to prepare. Hearing the shout, all six people ran towards Ning. Ning immediately pulled out his blood-red spear and began to spin it around him.

He used the Double Step Movement technique to break out of the encirclement, landing far from the crowd, and immediately began to use Hypnotic Dance on the different people.

However, their cultivation foundations were high enough not to be confused by this technique, and only Ya Zi was a victim of this technique.

Ning immediately rushed towards Ya Zi to attack him, but suddenly, a bird appeared out of nowhere and swooped towards him, forcing Ning to dodge to the side, failing to get past Ya Zi.

Ya Zi woke from his trance, looking around as if he had just woken from sleep, “What happened?” He said in surprise.

“Young Master, come back quickly. That boy knows some kind of mind-affecting technique. You just fell asleep there for a bit,” one of his subordinates said to him.

Ya Zi was a bit scared and started to hide behind his subordinates. Ning wanted to take the opportunity to escape, but two beasts had already blocked his path.

He struck the orange-winged deer with a True and a Sudden Strike, killing it within one strike, as it was only at the Fourth Qi Condensation Realm and couldn't handle Ning's power.

“What?” The people who were distracted by their young master’s predicament were somewhat surprised to see one of their beasts die just like that.

A hyena-like monster lunged from behind Ning and attacked him; however, Ning’s vision was everywhere, so he simply spun his spear around and chopped the hyena down.

It wasn’t enough to kill it, but at least enough to wound it.

“That boy’s weapon… I think it’s a Spirit Artifact,” a man in the crowd said.

“No wonder he killed our beasts so easily; his cultivation isn’t enough to cause that much damage.” They said. They now had another reason to kill Ning.

Two people already walked towards Ning, and one of them kicked him. Ning tried to dodge, but it was too late. Even with Telepathy, he couldn’t slow down the kick and was kicked back.

Thankfully, Telepathy acted as a buffer, wasting most of the energy that was coming towards Ning. Another person walked towards Ning, and he even had a sword in his hand.

A slash came towards Ning, and he barely dodged it. Ning swung his spear towards the man, but a fiery-red bird appeared right in front of him and grabbed the spear with its claws.

Flames spewed from its wings and flew towards Ning. Ning let the flames rush towards him, as the flames had no effect on his strong body. However, during this time, more beasts and humans gathered around him.

A whoosh of lightning came down from the sky and struck Ning. As soon as he was hit, he wanted to move, but he realized his body was numb and he couldn’t move anymore.

“Hmph!” He thought. Before he could think of anything else, a foot appeared behind him and kicked him away. Ning regained his mobility in mid-air and landed safely.

“Damn it, this kid didn’t take any damage. Does he have armor along with the weapon?” One of the men asked.

“It must be, who is this kid?” They started to question.

“It doesn’t matter, as long as we kill him, those artifacts will be ours,” Ashius said.

“Yes,” the people said, and they immediately went to attack Ning. Six people, eight monsters, he couldn’t stop them at all. A kick to the left foot, a fireball flying to the right, a punch to the chest, a bite to the leg; multiple attacks almost forced him to use his energy.

“No, I need this to increase my cap,” he stubbornly thought.

His body was now full of wounds and bruises, and all of a sudden, they all stopped attacking, “What’s going on?” Ning thought through the pain in his body.

Suddenly, he saw one of the men standing in the distance with a sword. He was holding the sword like a javelin. Before Ning realized what was happening, the man released the sword with a massive sonic boom.

It struck Ning’s right chest and dragged him until it hit a tree and got stuck in it. “Ah,” Ning screamed in pain, and through the pain, he heard three different notifications.

“You have successfully experienced a single object with over 1 billion kinetic energy within a human body.”

“All hidden conditions have been met.”

“Congratulations, Host, you have unlocked Kinetic Energy.”
