32: Hereditary Constitution
“Not today, either, huh?” he thought. He had to wait until Night for his Yin-Heat Conversion Technique to work.
It was just before dawn, Hyesi and his mother were already awake, and Ning was also awakened by the system at the same time. Feeling bored because he couldn't absorb energy, he fell back asleep.
Slowly, as more and more light appeared on the horizon, more and more Villagers began to wake up, preparing for farming.
Everyone started their daily routines, waiting for the first ray of dawn. Ning, meanwhile, began his own activities.
“The sun could rise at any moment,” he thought, as he gazed at the horizon, realizing the sun could rise at any moment.
He concentrated, performing his cultivation technique, and an unnatural chill suddenly gathered on the stone where he rested. All the Yin within a five-meter radius converged on him.
This meant that the Yin of everyone around Hyesi was drawn away.
The sun slowly rose from the east, and at this moment, all the Yin Ning had gathered transformed into heat, remaining around the stone on the necklace.
Yang energy surged from the sun, beginning to wash over the bodies of different people in the village.
Hyesi felt the most intense Shock of pure Yang energy and couldn't help but shiver.
The external pain let him know that his god was taking care of him, while the internal pain told him that his god was also helping him from within.
The Yang energy finally purified his body, and he suddenly felt a surge of power. The divine blessing was complete, a chill swept over him, and he abruptly opened his eyes.
Ning had stopped using the technique, as the mental fatigue it brought began to catch up to him. “Oh my, this is so hard to maintain. You do all this to collect Yin and turn it into heat, but in the end, it doesn’t even matter.”
The surrounding heat had already restored the Yin; a portion dissipated into the atmosphere, while another portion tried to enter the closest object without sunlight—Hyesi’s body.
Hyesi shivered as some of it managed to enter his body, while some remained outside. He maintained his balance, kneeling like the others, praying and thanking the Sun God Inikaka.
Hyesi walked into the forest as usual and began subconsciously picking up dry leaves.
“What are you doing?” Ning asked.
“Picking up some dry leaves to make a fire, Inikaka.”
“Oh, no need. I’ll tell you if there’s a need later. Today, do whatever you want. But tell me, did that work? Did I help you?” Ning was truly curious.
“I think so, Inikaka. I feel like you helped me a lot,” Haisi clenched his fists, feeling the power within them.
“Very good, very good,” Ning said. “We’ll keep doing this for a while, and you’ll become very strong. You’ll soon surpass your mother.” Ning tried to excite Hyesi.
“However, that might not happen. Considering his mother is always within five meters of him when she cultivates in the morning, at this rate, she might end up being the strongest. He’ll never become the head of the family. Speaking of which…”
“Hey, Hyesi. I haven’t seen your father. Where is he?” Ning decided to ask.
“My father? I heard he died in a fishing accident when I was young,” Hyesi said.
“Oh, how did he die in a fishing accident?” Ning asked. “Aren’t most people here exceptionally strong? What kind of fishing accident would kill them?” He was very curious.
“Apparently, my father was always very weak, even weaker than me. One day, he had to fight a large fish by the sea and was knocked down by it. I was about two years old when this happened.” “Hmm…” Ning wondered, “What about your grandfather?”
“My mother’s father is still alive, in the village. But my father’s father died before I was born. He was also said to be very weak. In fact, in my entire family, despite my weakness, I am the strongest.” Hyesi said this with both pride and sadness.
“Are the men in the family all so weak? Is this a hereditary Yin-deficient constitution?” He wondered. “Don’t worry, you won’t be weak anymore.”
Ning just let Haisi do some normal exercises, at least for the Klaviars. He didn’t bother absorbing any energy because he wanted to do it tomorrow morning.
The day quickly passed, and Night fell. Since their return, the leading group had not left again. However, they seemed to be planning another attack on the demon in the water.
Night also passed, and it grew light before dawn. Hyesi awoke from his sleep. Ning also woke up. The Villagers slowly began to gather outside their homes, preparing for their morning routine. Even the children were awake.
As the sun began to rise, the Klaviars began their morning exercises. Their bodies slowly started to glow.
“Now is a good time,” Ning thought, as he activated the Yin-Heat Conversion Technique. Slowly, Yin began to gather around him, turning into heat.
You gained 23,000 energy.
You gained 23,000 energy.
Today, this technique put much more mental strain on him than the previous two times. “Is it because I’m actually absorbing heat?” he wondered.
He hit the cap before the sun even rose. A few minutes later, the sun finally rose, and energy swept through everyone’s bodies. Hyesi felt his strength increase again.
