132: All or Nothing
The woman from the First Foundation Establishment realm stared in shock at her left arm, which had just been dismembered from her shoulder.
However, she wasn't the only one shocked. Ning himself was surprised.
Even the First Elder and the woman from the Second Foundation Establishment realm turned their heads back in shock.
“How did that happen?” was the only question on everyone’s mind.
“Am I… am I that strong?” Ning questioned. However, he wasn't foolish enough to believe that, nor that the spiritual artifact had anything to do with it.
“This must have something to do with my technique, right? Otherwise, when I use Radiant Holy Sw-” Ning realized the answer to his pressing question when the Corpse Qi split apart.
“Holy!”
Corpse—Zombie—Undead. No matter how he looked at it, holy power was the perfect counter to these things. Ning smiled. He finally had a way to fight these people without getting injured like a pincushion.
Ning ignited his sword again and swung it at the woman. The woman was terrified and immediately threw Ning into the wall near her before Ning could do anything.
Ning pushed his Qi in the opposite direction to soften his landing, and he used the wall as a launching point when he shot towards the woman.
The woman took out her sword to block Ning, but she frowned when she realized her sword was weaker than before.
“What’s going on?” she asked herself.
Ning had been collecting her Corpse Qi, and she hadn't realized it yet. When she used Qi to block her wound, the black blood flowing from it stopped. However, with Ning...
...here, it was reopening.
Only then did she realize something was wrong. “My Corpse Qi… it’s gone?” She looked at her arm and thought. It was still blue, but not to its previous level.
A wave of blue light appeared on her sword as she pushed Ning into the wall again. However, this time he couldn’t stop himself.
The wall fell on him, as he was also trapped under the rubble.
As the woman focused on stopping her wound, she finally breathed a sigh of relief. However, Ning burst out of the rubble as if nothing had happened.
“You… why are you so strong?” She couldn't understand at all. From his cultivation, he was clearly in the Seventh Qi Condensation realm, but his attacks were truly strong.
The other woman was also struggling. With no one to help her, the First Elder easily handled the battle. The First Elder held a string of beads in his right hand, and a golden halo lit up as his left hand made a half-prayer in front of him.
The woman would launch attacks, but none of them landed on him. His golden halo prevented all attacks from landing on him.
“Amitabha,” the man said as Qi erupted, attacking the woman in front of him. She was sent back to the wall, and he finally had some free time to recover and see how Ning was doing.
He could hear the faint buzzing and sizzling sounds coming from Ning.
He had seen this before, or at least heard the sound. “Ah, that’s right.
He can get rid of Corpse Qi,” the First Elder thought.
An attack slammed into the First Elder’s exposed back, but the golden halo easily stopped it. “Amitabha,” he said for a moment, focusing on the battle.
The one-armed woman began to feel anxious. With each encounter, she grew weaker and weaker, and her attacks had no effect on Ning.
Ning learned that with a normal attack from the Radiant Holy Sword, he could cut off any of the woman’s long-range attacks, and even if he was overwhelmed, with his Body Cultivation at level 8, it was impossible to harm him.
Ning showed the same strength as when he started, but the woman grew weaker and weaker. The woman again sent Ning flying into the wall; however, this time she didn’t wait for him to return.
Instead, she gathered all her remaining Corpse Qi and normal Qi and put it into her sword. Ning had just emerged from the rubble when he saw the woman preparing to attack.
He could tell that the energy behind the sword was something he couldn't withstand. He could use the strongest attack of the Radiant Holy Sword to counter her attack, but he would lose all his Qi in the process.
This attack was too energy-consuming. Even if he managed to stop the woman’s attack, he would be at her mercy afterward.
The woman had no such thoughts. She planned to kill him with one blow. Once her attack was ready, she slashed her sword at Ning. Ning tried to escape, but the attack seemed to be tracking him.
Boom!
A huge explosion sounded when the attack finally landed. The First Elder and the other woman both looked back at Ning, who was caught in the explosion.
“Finally,” the one-armed woman sighed when Ning suddenly appeared in front of her, his sword high in the air, filled with golden energy, and slashed down.
“How-” The woman didn’t even finish her sentence when the sword cut her in half. Even in death, she couldn't understand how he had survived.
Ning’s left arm was bleeding a little, but other than that, he was fine.
The First Elder and the other woman looked shocked. Taking advantage of the First Elder’s distraction, the woman launched a sneak attack on Ning, who had his back to them.
Something from the rubble Ning had just moved towards him, standing in front of him. The attack landed on it, and a huge explosion sounded.
“No!” the First Elder shouted in surprise.
However, when the dust settled, Ning was completely fine, safely protected by the thing in front of him.
