82: Beast Feeding

Early in the morning, before the sun had risen, Ning stopped cultivating and walked out of his room, having already gathered his sound energy for the day.

His mind was in immense pain because he had been simultaneously looking at his information and Qi cultivation analysis all Night.

Even when used on himself, it required a bit of mental power, and persisting through the Night caused great damage to his mind.

However, there was a meaning to doing so. He was using his mental power to gain more mental power. Doing so was extremely painful for him, but the fact that it made his mind stronger was enough for him to continue doing so.

Dawn had arrived, but the sun had not yet risen. So he went to the open training ground, where several different disciples were already practicing their morning arts or different techniques.

Ning began to dance, just as he did every time he practiced the Sun Gods Morning Purification Technique. Moments later, Qi began to gather around him, entering his body and purifying the Yin and Yang energies within him.

So, when the sun truly rose above the horizon, the first ray of sunlight, containing the purest Yang Qi, purified his body from within, making it stronger.

Once finished, he used Body Cultivation Analysis to check his strength. Similar to Qi Cultivation Analysis, Body Cultivation Analysis also used mental power to check information. However, unlike Qi Cultivation Analysis, Body Cultivation Analysis did not require much mental power, and there was no more than one layer of information to check, so it was fine.

Only when a Body Cultivator was truly powerful would it consume a lot of mental power. Unlike Qi Cultivation, Body Cultivation had no fancy names. It only had a number to indicate how strong a person's power was.

It started from Level 1 and continued indefinitely; however, most people also used Qi cultivation realms as a standard for physical cultivation.

Each set of numbers was given an equivalent realm name for easier understanding, with Levels 1-9 corresponding to the first 9 realms of the Qi Condensation Realm.

Levels 10-18 were the Foundation Establishment Realm, and so on. Each new cultivation realm either required a significant amount of time or a large amount of precious materials to make a person's body stronger.

Ning looked at his realm and sighed. He had already reached Level 5, which meant his body was as strong as someone in the Qi Condensation Fifth Realm. However, getting further from here would take even longer.

Soon, he would either abandon this technique or improve it. Ning also did not want to do this until he started doubling his cap.

After he finished cultivating, he brought out Night to let him fly for a bit, but it seemed Night did not want to, as it was already daytime.

"Does he really only want to move around at Night?" he thought.

He returned to his room to continue cultivating; he could feel a breakthrough was imminent. However, a few hours later, he had to leave his room to attend one of the three different parts of beast taming.

In his opinion, beast care took a lot of time. Beast training required him to go there often and also take exams.

So, the easiest thing to do was to feed the beasts. As long as you fed the beasts once a day, you could do nothing for the rest of the day.

"This is a perfect job for me. Oh, I hope not many people want to compete for this job," he hoped.

There were none at all.

His hope came true. Ning stood at the place where you registered to feed the beasts. In front of him were 5 out of 20 new disciples, and besides that, there might be another 5 people here.

In a sect that recruited 20 disciples every month, this was a very low number. "Even the training ground has 5 times more people. What's going on?" he wondered.

He went with the other 5 people to register his name.

At the counter, there was a girl lazily sprawled on the table, as if she hadn't slept last Night.

"Welcome to the Mist Origin Sect's Beast Feeding Area, what can I do for you?" she said in an unenthusiastic, monotonous voice.

"Uh... we are here to register for this area," a new man said.

The girl looked at the six people in front of her, her eyes lit up, but she shook her head and drooped her head, saying, "Hey, I thought someone finally came to join, but it's just new disciples who want to take a shortcut. Go back, kids, this task is not as easy as you think." After saying that, the girl drooped her head again.

"What?" The disciples were confused.

"What? You didn't consult with other disciples before coming here, did you? So you don't know how dangerous this task is. Compared to Beast Care and Beast Training, they deal with fully fed, satiated beasts, while we feed hungry beasts that might end up killing and eating us."

"Hey, Likir, come here," she shouted to the side.

A dark-skinned man rushed towards her, "What is it, Sister?" he asked.

She said, "These kids are here to register for us, not understanding us. Give them a lesson."

"Oh, you almost made a big mistake. Look," he said, pulling up the robe on his right side, half of his hand was gone. "It was eaten by a herbivore while I was feeding it leaves. A herbivore. If you don't want to die, you'd better leave."
