79: Passing

About 10 minutes before the test ended, Ning walked back to the church gate outside the forest, where many people had already finished their tests.

Some people had beasts, some didn't. "Ah? Have they already failed? Why don't they stay in the forest and try again? There are still 10 minutes left," he muttered to himself.

He took out a snakeskin from his dimensional storage and fed it to Night. He walked to a corner of the church courtyard and waited for the test to end.

Soon, the remaining 10 minutes passed, and only the candidates who came over now were eligible to pass the exam. The previous examiner came to the group of over 80 people and spoke.

"Congratulations to those who have tamed their beasts. I hope the beasts you have tamed are good enough to enter the sect," he said.

"I will call out your names. When I call out your first name, please go inside." The man said, calling out the first name. A scrawny, serious-looking man stepped forward.

"Wait! Take your beast out of the beast bag before you go in," the man said.

The scrawny man nodded, took out a baby mammoth-like creature, and then walked in. People started talking about how magnificent the beast looked.

Ning realized that this mammoth-like beast was actually of a lower rank than his bird. Soon, more and more people were sent in.

In a special announcement, a person named Ya Zi was called out. When the person walked out of the crowd, Night suddenly stood up and stared at the person.

"Bad, guy, bad, guy," he said.

"Bad guy, him?" It took Ning a moment to understand what Night meant. "Wait, did he hurt you?" he asked.

"Bad guy, him?" It took Ning a moment to understand what Night meant. "Wait, did he hurt you?" he asked.

"Bad. Man. Hurt. Hungry." This solved the problem. This Ya Zi was the one who hurt Night a week ago. "He probably failed last week and is back to hunt now," Ning thought.

As Ya Zi walked to the door, he took out a gorilla monster, which was still a baby, but seeing this gorilla shocked everyone.

"That's an Iron Gorilla, right?" someone asked.

Another person said, "Yes, these are hard to get. Especially since they still rely on their parents. Fighting their parents is a bad idea."

"Then how do you think he encountered a baby?"

Many questions rang out from the people inside. Ning didn't know much about Iron Gorillas, but he knew the rankings, and the Iron Gorilla ranked very high.

He stroked Night, who was lying on his shoulder, and said, "Don't worry, you're still much better than him."

More and more people were called by name, and finally, it was Ning's turn. As soon as his name was called, he started walking towards the door. Just as he passed through the door, the examiner looked at his tamed beast and whispered, "Wow!"

Ning felt unusually happy at that moment. As soon as he entered the room, he saw a person with two doors behind him. As soon as Ning arrived, the person narrowed his eyes and asked, "Where is your beast?"

Ning was a little confused and just pointed to Knight. Knight at some point had just been sitting on his shoulder, snuggled into a ball, so much so that he couldn't distinguish the real black rag that had always stayed on his shoulder.

"Night, get up," he said. Suddenly, Night woke up from his sleep and looked around. As a beast accustomed to hunting and living at Night, Night was used to sleeping during the day.

The only reason he was awake during the day today was because he hadn't eaten in a long time and was hungry.

The person in front of Alex saw the majestic black eagle spread its wings and screamed in surprise, "Night Hunter, how did you find him?" they asked.

Ning said, "I was watching a rabbit, and he came over and snatched it in front of me."

"That's not what I meant. Night Hunters are incredibly fast, and it's impossible to stop them unless one's cultivation is far higher than a Night Hunter's. How did a Qi Condensation 2nd Stage cultivator like you find him?" the person asked.

"Oh... well, that's a secret," Ning said. "Anyway, can I pass after all?" he asked.

"Oh, wait," the person took out a strange metal plate, threw it on the ground, and asked, "Step on it." Ning complied, stepping on the metal plate without hesitation.

Initially, he couldn't figure out what was happening, but eventually, he understood. He saw the scene from the side of his right temple. Knight was standing there, blue light shooting out from him and then entering his body.

"What the hell is that?" he wondered. Ning took a closer look and found that the blue light was coming from where he had stepped on the plate.

"Okay. I have confirmed that you really tamed a beast, and it was today. Congratulations, you passed the test. With a beast like a Night Hunter, you naturally pass the test. Please go into the room on the left," the person said.

Ning thanked the person and let Night go back to sleep. Then he walked out the left door and into a corridor leading to the inside of another room.

Ning walked into the room and found that there were already 4 people inside. According to the examiner, 20 people should be selected today, and among them, it seemed that 5 people had already been guaranteed.

There were 2 young men and 2 young women inside. Both women seemed expressionless, while one of the men was alone in the back.

The last guy was trying to hit on the ladies, who clearly didn't want to talk to him. Ning looked at him and sighed, "Of course, it had to be this guy."
