133: Can see

When the attack came, Ning lowered the hand he had instinctively raised in front of him. In front of him was a Beetle nearly 3 meters tall, with a slender horn that had 3 tips at the top.

The entire Beetle was about 2 meters wide. Its current front was turned towards Ning, as its back had just protected him from two attacks.

"What is that?" the woman couldn't help but ask.

"That... should be a Great Horned Silver Beetle, however, why is its body golden?" the First Elder whispered to himself a little.

Ning's Beetle had finally evolved in the two months after he lost his system, and completely turned into a Gold-Shelled Beetle, one of the greatest defensive creatures in all of Kumiya.

The Beetle was currently at the 8th Qi Condensation realm, and compared to its peers, it was relatively slow, however, when it came to defense, it was amazing.

The Beetle had just used one of the special techniques it had learned through evolution and used it to protect Ning. Ning could tell the Beetle was heavily injured, but far from unable to survive.

Even so, Ning brought the Beetle back to the beast space, and then sucked away the remnants of Corpse Qi that might have landed on it.

He checked his injured left arm and took care of it. It was only bleeding a little, so he just closed the wound for now.

"Good job, Volunteer Ning, now go help my disciple," the First Elder said, as he began to freely bombard the woman, attacking again, slowly stripping her of any chance to escape.

"Amitabha."

The First Elder's voice rang out as the sound directly shattered the woman's body. A 2nd Foundation Establishment realm cultivator had just died like that.

Ning walked to the ruins and pulled out the unconscious Mikaela. There seemed to be no Corpse Qi on her, so it was fine.

Ning picked her up with the princess's luggage and began to take her to the city center where the Doctors Guild was located.

However, as he got closer to the center, the explosions grew louder, however, the cries had greatly diminished.

People were either safe now or dead. In either case, the cries in the town had silenced.

Ning ran towards the Doctors Guild, where many people were milling about. People with high cultivation bases, some Ning had never seen before, came out and began to use the same bead necklaces as the First Elder and calmly walked around, saying Amitabha.

Each time one of them spoke, a beam of golden light would appear on their body, washing away the Corpse Qi affecting the patients.

"What?" Ning was shocked. He had never in his life thought that someone could cure something even he couldn't through normal measures.

"Is that because Corpse Qi isn't actually a medical injury, so the system didn't give me any information?" he wondered. Furthermore, the techniques used by the senior cultivators of the sect were completely new to him.

This meant that they might have been hiding them from him until he gained a higher position in the sect. Perhaps he even had to become an Elder to learn them. He didn't have time to think about it now.

He quickly took Mikaela to a doctor and then left her.

He ran out of the Doctors Guild and looked north, where most of the explosions were happening.

Along the way, he fought more women from the Eagle Sect, but with the Holy Sword, he had nothing to worry about.

He finally reached the loudest area, the battlefield. He was shocked when he saw hundreds of humans and beasts fighting together against many blue-skinned women and dozens of zombies.

Both humans and beasts were hiding behind barriers set up by Pure Sect Elders and launching attacks from within.

The barrier constantly blocked the women's attacks, preventing any Corpse Qi from entering the barrier. That was their only purpose.

Ning quickly checked everyone's cultivation base, but without a doubt, they were all in the Foundation Establishment realm.

For him, this was a battle of too high a level.

He could barely defeat a 1st Foundation Establishment realm woman with his current cultivation base, and that was after using a lot of Qi.

He was currently low on Qi and couldn't freely use the Radiant Holy Sword. This wasn't a place he could go. He needed to leave.

The Pure Sect, Mist Origin Sect, and some rogue cultivators were fighting for their lives, but Ning didn't care about that right now.

The fear he had been ignoring was burning after seeing so many enemies. A moment of carelessness would lead to his body's death.

He wasn't sure what would happen to him now that the system was gone. All logic suggested that he was still immortal, but he just didn't want to risk it.

"I should run back," he thought. He wouldn't be of any help anyway.

Boom!

Suddenly, there was a huge explosion in the sky. Ning looked up and saw 3 people fighting in the sky.

Ning only recognized one of the fighters in the sky. It was Ikusa, the sect leader of the Mist Origin Sect. A Rainbow Phoenix constantly roamed the sky, shooting flames at a woman.

However, this woman didn't have blue skin. Her skin was the same as everyone else on the battlefield.

She was fighting Ikusa and another man with a sword.

The last person was also someone Ning had not yet seen. He was bald and definitely from the Pure Sect, with a very bright golden aura around him. He looked to be in his 30s, which was still very young for such a strong person.

Ning had never seen a strong bald man, and he wondered, "Is that the sect leader?"
