1: Xu Zhiyou

Blue Star, 2005.

Huaguo, BJ City.

On a tranquil and beautiful summer afternoon, a ten-year-old girl lay on a lush green lawn.

Chewing on a foxtail grass, she enjoyed the serenity of nature.

Her name is Xu Zhiyou. In her previous life, she was a trainee at an entertainment company. Because of her outstanding appearance, she was arranged to accompany clients for drinks.

In a fit of anger, she chose to terminate her contract, incurring a breach of contract fee of over 400,000 yuan.

However, she had been undergoing closed training at the company since she was twelve years old, and this training lasted for a full ten years. Aside from artist training, she had no other skills to make a living.

In the end, she could only work in a factory screwing nuts. Due to the factory's illegal operations, a fire broke out, and with a bang, she woke up to find herself lying in a hospital bed.

An orphan and in debt, that explosion sounded terrifying. She probably wasn't dead but half-crippled, and she didn't even dare to look at her own body.

At the time, she only had one thought: she'd rather be completely gone! What was this half-dead state supposed to achieve?

Thinking about these things made her inexplicably sad. The nurse saw her silently weeping and couldn't help but step forward to comfort her.

"Little friend, what's wrong?"

"You're the 'little friend'! Have you ever seen such a big 'little friend'?"

"So cute!" The nurse couldn't help but blurt out when she saw her like this.

Xu Zhiyou was truly angered now. 'I'm in such a state, and you still say I'm cute? Are you intentionally trying to provoke me?'

She wanted to push her away, but as soon as her hand stretched out, 'Oh no!' Her hand had become short. Most likely, it had been amputated. All her hopes turned to ash.

"Huh! What's wrong with this little paw?"

"Your description is accurate, after all, you are still small, so they are indeed little paws. Haha~"

Instead of getting angry at the nurse's teasing, she felt a little excited. This immense fortune had finally come to her.

Xu Zhiyou had at least graduated from high school and read plenty of web novels. She had seen stories about transmigration and rebirth. Could it be happening to her?

She quickly touched her body and saw the butterfly birthmark on her shoulder. This was still her own body; it wasn't a so-called soul transmigration.

Her first reaction wasn't fear, but rather an exclamation of 'This is too awesome!' Not only did she not have to pay back money, but she could also rely on what was in her mind... abba abba.

She suddenly remembered that she was a poor student, the kind who couldn't even memorize ancient poetry.

If she couldn't do any of these, then so be it. Damn it, all she did was practice singing and dancing or read web novels. She knew nothing.

She deserved to screw nuts in a factory. She raised her hand and slapped herself, "That's what you get for not studying hard. What a sin!"

The nurse, seeing her like this, was also confused. "Little friend, what's wrong? Why are you hitting yourself!"

So what if she didn't like to study? How many children actually liked to study?

Xu Zhiyou didn't want to talk to anyone now. What was the difference between being reborn and not being reborn if she was still nothing!

"Are you awake?"

A very beautiful female police officer with an explosive figure walked in. Her looks and physique were the kind that could debut on the spot.

"She's awake, but something here isn't normal!" The nurse said, pointing to her own head.

"Hmm? How so?" Her voice was also incredibly pleasant. This was Xu Zhiyou's thought.

Xu Wen thought it might be some bad damage caused by medication.

They had received a report that a body was found in the park. They rushed over with the forensic doctor and found that she was still alive.

They immediately sent her to the hospital for examination, suspecting she had been injected with a fast-metabolizing drug, causing a state of suspended animation.

"Little friend, what's your name?" Xu Wen still decided to ask.

"Xu Zhiyou!"

Looking at the police uniform, she subconsciously answered the question obediently.

"That's a very nice name! Do you remember where your home is?"

"I don't know!" She knew she had been reborn, but where would an orphan like her have a home?

"How old are you this year?"

Xu Wen was usually fiery and impulsive, so speaking so gently felt a bit unaccustomed to her.

"I don't know!" Who knew how old she was when she transmigrated.

Afterward, she was asked some more questions, but she always replied with 'I don't know.' Seeing her demeanor, it was clear she genuinely didn't know. She was classified as a trafficked child.

Her information was compiled to help find her family, and the orphanage was notified to receive her first.

After a full month of searching yielded no results, they could only process a new household registration for her, using bone age to register her birth date as March 1, 1997.

Then she was enrolled in school, the same nine-year compulsory education. Her special circumstances meant all her tuition and fees were waived.

Within that month, she also thoroughly understood this world. This wasn't rebirth; it was transmigration, alright?

This world was called Blue Star, and its development trajectory was identical to Earth's. The countries were also the same 200-odd ones, only their names had changed slightly.

The country she was in was called Xia Kingdom, and like Earth, its century of humiliation remained unchanged.

However, songs that were very popular on Earth couldn't be found here at all. At the time, she had even thought of getting rich by selling songs or becoming a plagiarist.

But she only clearly remembered a dozen or so songs; the others she had only heard. To recreate them with her academic-slacker brain, she could only scoff.

Reality dealt her blow after blow. She had almost given up entirely when she discovered her golden finger.

Her body seemed to have been completely refined, from the inside out, including her brain, which had all been optimized.

She knew what a mess she was in her previous life, a pure academic slacker; reading a book felt like it was killing her.

Now it was different. Her brain not only worked faster, but her memory was also incredibly good.

She also enjoyed the privileges of an academic genius. However much she had resented the privileges of academic geniuses before, that's how much she cherished them now.

As for her appearance, to be honest, she somewhat disliked it. Being presentable was enough; why be so beautiful that people would covet her?

If she couldn't be brazen, it would be better to look more ordinary. If she hadn't been so good-looking, she wouldn't have gone through so much trouble.

Now it was even worse; she was several times more beautiful than before. If she didn't learn a few self-defense moves, she wouldn't dare go out at night.

What pleased her was her voice. Her vocal timbre was rich and versatile, capable of adjusting her voice according to demand, transitioning smoothly from soft and delicate to passionate and soaring.

At the same time, she also possessed the wide vocal range she had always dreamed of, enabling her to sing difficult songs, plus her ten years of training—perfect.

Of course, she hadn't fully developed her golden finger yet. For example, fragments would occasionally pop up in her mind, but ninety-nine percent of them were related to entertainment.

This might be related to her ten years as a trainee in her previous life. Now, when she thought about practicing martial arts, martial arts moves would also pop up in her mind, but it was like squeezing toothpaste, too mentally exhausting.

Damn it, this time I'm going to make a name for myself, no matter what! I trained for a full ten years, but I never even got to perform on stage once. It would be a ghost if I could accept that.

She wanted to be a big star, even a global superstar, hehe!

However, Xia Kingdom, like Earth, had a sparse idol industry. K-pop from the neighboring Peninsula was quite developed, but asking her to give up her studies to sing and dance, wasn't that putting Xu Zhiyou in a difficult position?

In her previous life, she had suffered greatly from a lack of knowledge. In this life, she had to learn a few more skills, just in case she transmigrated again later.

"Alas! If only I had learned some composition back then."
