107: notice
After waking up, she wasn't in a hurry to go out. She picked up her phone, ready to call Park Chaeyoung, and saw over a dozen missed calls.
"Damn, so many rings, I actually slept through all of them." She clicked on Park Chaeyoung's number and dialed. The other party picked up instantly.
"Zoe, you finally called me! What's going on? I called you and no one answered?"
"Where's Show Ge?"
"She's resting in the dorm. She was so tired from running around. What did your family say?"
Xu Zhiyou breathed a sigh of relief. Park Chaeyoung's tone proved her mother hadn't laid a hand on her, which meant there was still room for negotiation.
"I was too tired from the flight. As soon as I got home, I just crashed and didn't hear my phone ring at all."
Park Chaeyoung didn't doubt her. She knew Xu Zhiyou was a sleep-addicted glutton, but knowing this was the reason, she almost died of anger.
"I really can't with you. Didn't you think of sending a text? You made me worry for so long."
"I'll pay attention next time!" On the other end, Park Chaeyoung was practically rolling her eyes to the heavens. It was that same line again, she didn't know how many times she'd heard it.
"Remember to keep your phone on. It seems like you can't use KKT over there, so don't turn off your phone, got it?"
"OK, if there's nothing else, I'm hanging up. I haven't eaten yet, I'm starving."
"You glutton, you won't starve to death..."
Xu Zhiyou couldn't be bothered to listen to her babble and hung up directly. She sent Kim Ji-soo a text to prevent her from overthinking, then lay back on the bed to ponder life.
"Yah! You bastard, you hung up on me! I wasn't finished yet! Can't you show me some respect? I'm so mad!" She threw her phone directly onto the bed.
Lisa was right next door and heard her acting crazy from a distance. "What's wrong with you?"
"Zoe, she hung up on me again."
Hearing this, she quickly came over and asked, "What did she say?"
"It seems like nothing major!"
Lisa also breathed a sigh of relief. "That's good. I'll tell Jisoo. Looking at her, her hair is almost turning white from worry."
"Go ahead! Jennie-oni is probably in her room too, tell her as well." She had been worried about Xu Zhiyou, constantly staring at her phone.
Now that the matter was resolved, she could go to sleep peacefully. She jumped onto the bed and lay spread-eagled, instantly falling asleep.
Kim Ji-soo herself had a strong sense of responsibility, and this time it was her mistake that caused the incident, so she had been feeling guilty. Kim Jennie didn't even know how to comfort her.
Her phone vibrated once. She picked it up and saw it was a message from Xu Zhiyou. After a sigh of relief, she called her directly.
Xu Zhiyou saw it was Kim Ji-soo, answered, and said, "What's up? Still need to call and check in?"
Kim Ji-soo asked nervously, "Are you really okay over there?"
"It's nothing big. I just said you're most suitable to be the leader. From now on, the leader is yours." Seeing her family's reaction, she wouldn't be able to go back for a while, so she gave her a heads-up.
"Who cares about your broken leader position? In a few days, after my schedule is done, I'll bring my Oppa to apologize to you."
"No need, it's unnecessary. And don't overthink it, overthinking makes you age faster."
"You're the one who'll age faster..."
After chatting with her for a while, she hung up and continued to ponder life. She thought for over ten minutes but couldn't come up with anything conclusive.
"Whatever happens, happens. Why think so much? Life is meant to be enjoyed. Worries and troubles can all go die somewhere else."
She went to the living room and smelled a fragrance. She ran to the kitchen and saw her mother making delicious food for her.
"Dear Mama, what is this?"
"Your sister hit you a bit too hard, knocking you out for three hours."
"It's fine!"
Xu Zhiyou had also learned this technique; the fastest way to improve was to experience it herself. Next time, she would know how much force to use.
However, her sister's combat power had increased again. Aside from being knocked out, there were no lingering effects. This was truly a master, she admired her.
Jiang Ling knew that she was still the same carefree person. "Pork hock, prawns, and..." It was either collagen or food extremely high in calcium.
Jiang Ling continued to stir-fry her prawns. "It'll be ready soon, go wait outside first."
"I'll help you." While saying this, her eyes were fixed on the prawns, almost drooling.
"What can you do? Go watch TV outside obediently, don't mess things up for me."
"Alright!" Then she quickly snatched a large prawn and walked out, almost getting hit by a spatula. Jiang Ling said exasperatedly, "Wash your hands before eating! How many times have I told you? You still can't change."
"I couldn't help it, I'll pay attention next time! Hehe~"
"You think I believe you? Get out now."
"Okay! Hiss, so hot, so hot." She ran out, transferring the prawn from her left hand to her right.
Jiang Ling suddenly laughed seeing her like this. She was still the same as when she was little, truly not changing a bit.
She arrived in the living room, finished eating in a few bites, and then flipped through the announcement from YG. The general meaning was pretty much what she had said.
She logged into her Instagram account, liked the post, and then scrolled through fan comments.
"Am I seeing things? The original solo single has been changed to an EP, all original by Zoe, and the release date hasn't changed! I'm super excited!"
"Wow, quietly doing big things! A whole EP directly! YG is on it this time, thumbs up.jpg"
"Is there enough time to make a music video in such a short period? I want to see the stunning visuals, the songs are secondary, hehe!"
"It's indeed quite rushed, they should probably focus on the music, but I support whatever decision Zoe makes. I'll be there to buy it."
"I'm not that concerned about the EP versus a solo single. As long as my 'Far Away From Home' release date isn't changed, it's fine."
"Fellow enthusiast upstairs, I'm also almost driven crazy. As long as the date isn't changed, otherwise I'll probably go insane."
"I'm a group fan, no! How can they separate during comeback season, boo hoo hoo~"
"You have new songs to listen to, what more do you want? There will be so many activities later, so don't worry about not having anything to watch, it's just a sprinkle!"
...
Xu Zhiyou finished reading. It was largely as she had expected; everyone's attention was drawn to the songs. After that, she couldn't be bothered to manage it.
Lim Yoona saw the announcement. Xu Zhiyou's unconstrained, impulsive personality was not at all surprising. She then continued to memorize her lines.
In the TWICE dorm, Lim Nayeon, scrolling on her phone, also saw the announcement and thought the same as Lim Yoona.
"Tsk tsk tsk, look, this is the producer's arrogance. You said my solo wasn't suitable? Then I'll directly release a mini-album, how domineering!"
"It's arrogant, but it's a bit wasteful. Her popularity is still on the rise, releasing an EP now is a bit of a waste!"
"Mina! Do you think Zoe is short on songs? Over fifty songs, wow, if only I could get some, wow! So cool~"
Everyone found Lim Nayeon, lost in her fantasies, quite amusing. They had truly come to understand what a creative artist was like.
Kim Dahyun sighed, "In the past, GD Senior and IU Senior did this, and now there's Zoe. I really envy these creative singers."
"What's the use of envy? Figuring out how to latch onto them is what we should be doing, hmm! That's it."
Kim Dahyun pouted at Lim Nayeon's fawning expression and said, "You're sick!"
