83: Kim Ji-soo's Big Colander

Jeong Hyeong-don noticed Xu Zhiyou staring wide-eyed at Park Chaeyoung. "Zoe, why are you staring at Rose like that? Did she offend you?"

Kim Ji-soo and the other three heard Jeong Hyeong-don and turned to look at her. They thought Park Chaeyoung had performed quite well, so they wondered if something had gone wrong.

"Ani, Jeong Hyeong-don sunbae, I suddenly realized that silly, uh, Chaeyoung looks even more beautiful. I couldn't help but take a few more glances, hahaha~" She almost blurted out the word 'silly'.

"Tsk!" Kim Ji-soo was utterly disdainful.

Kim Jennie pouted, and Lisa didn't even bother to look. That remark was clearly a casual fabrication. Don't think they didn't hear the word 'silly'.

Park Chaeyoung felt deeply hurt by the 'tsk'. Did she, Park Chaeyoung, not deserve the word 'beautiful'?

"Aigoo, hahaha! Rose, did you offend those three? Look at their disdainful expressions, hahaha~"

Jeong Hyeong-don thought these five young girls were good at creating entertainment for the show. They didn't need any deliberate guidance; they just did it themselves.

"Ani, sunbae, we weren't talking about Chaeyoung."

Kim Ji-soo quickly waved her hands. She had to clarify this to avoid misunderstanding. What if fans accused them of bullying Park Chaeyoung?

"Oh, so you were talking about me then? Who gave you the guts? Believe it or not, I'll make things difficult for you." Xu Zhiyou wasn't one to hold back; she said whatever she thought.

"Otherwise, who else could it be besides you?"

"You just wait! Next comeback, not only will I cut your parts, but I'll also give you alto and bass lines. I'll make you flop!"

"Who's afraid of whom?" Her specialty was alto and bass ballads. This was her comfort zone; she wouldn't back down an inch.

"Our Kim Ji-soo is so confident, how about a live performance to test it out?" Yoo Dae-joon seized the opportunity to chime in. These were all good talking points.

Jeong Hyeong-don was also quite happy with this; it saved him the trouble. "Do you need accompaniment?"

"No need, I can sing a cappella." After thinking for a moment, she sang Xu Zhiyou's solo single.

"If we can make it through the darkest night, we'll see a brighter day."

When the first line was sung, Kim Jennie and Lisa exchanged glances. Was this a spoiler? But it seemed Kim Ji-soo wasn't that kind of person.

"Through your bright eyes, I see a world that captivates me."

Kim Ji-soo continued singing, skipping around. She fell asleep to this song every night, so she knew it by heart. She was doing this on purpose.

She always felt it was a shame to keep such a beautiful song hidden. The key was that Xu Zhiyou had too few opportunities to showcase herself, which wasn't fair to her.

Letting it out for her to solo would be a natural progression. "Who can heal those broken hearts? Where do we go from here?"

Three lines finished, not a single extra punctuation mark. Xu Zhiyou was quite speechless. This girl was a big spoiler, even leaking her song.

After Kim Ji-soo finished singing, only Jeong Hyeong-don and Yoo Dae-joon applauded. Park Chaeyoung's little brain truly couldn't understand why Kim Ji-soo did this.

Jeong Hyeong-don looked at the four of them curiously. "Her singing is indeed very good, why aren't you applauding?"

There were many songs they hadn't heard, so they had no doubt this was a new song.

"It's not as good as Zoe's singing. This song really needs her to sing it. If you don't believe me, let her try. I'm far from her level."

Kim Ji-soo really loved seeing Xu Zhiyou go all out. That's what a goddess should be like. Someone so beautiful should be in the spotlight.

Jeong Hyeong-don thought it sounded very good, professional level, and Kim Ji-soo's clear, cool voice was also very suitable.

Oh, case closed. This girl wanted to release her own song. Her previous plan was to solo after her debut promotions ended.

But a sudden comeback caught her off guard, which is why it was delayed until now. Kim Jennie and the other three also suddenly realized.

Once they understood, it was easy. Park Chaeyoung was the first to agree: "That's really true, Zoe sings this song super well."

"Mm-hmm, mm-hmm!" Kim Jennie and Lisa also nodded frantically. It was their favorite, of course it sounded good.

Jeong Hyeong-don was curious. Kim Ji-soo saying that could be interpreted as humility, but for all three of them to say it, the meaning was different.

"Then, Zoe, would you like to try it?"

"OK!" She ran to the piano on the side and sat down. This song didn't feel as impactful sung a cappella.

If she was going to spoil it, she might as well spoil a lot. Then she'd let the fans demand it, and just say Kim Ji-soo misspoke. Who doesn't have a slip of the tongue sometimes?

She swept her fingers over the keys and thought the production crew was generous. They bought such a good piano that wouldn't be used once in decades.

"How is it? Any problems?" Yoo Dae-joon watched her fiddle with the piano and then shake her head. He thought the piano was broken.

"It's nothing, I just think the production crew is rich. It's such a shame to have such an expensive piano sitting here collecting dust."

"Uh!!!" Jeong Hyeong-don was speechless. Why did she shake her head then? He really didn't understand young people.

"Hahaha~" Lisa also hadn't expected that reason. It was still that silly Zoe.

To be honest, she hadn't seen Xu Zhiyou play the piano much. She had seen Park Chaeyoung play quite a bit. "Hurry up! I haven't really seen you play the piano."

"Arasso, why are you rushing me? Don't I need to warm up?"

Ever since she injured her finger joint in a fight, she had been especially careful with everything she did. No other reason, it was just too painful.

A series of 'dang-dang' sounds, followed by an enchanting prelude. Not to mention anything else, her current piano skills were quite high.

"Omo, that's beautiful! I didn't expect Zoe to play the piano so well."

Jeong Hyeong-don also knew a bit about music. This level would be considered excellent even in the classical world.

"This prelude is beautiful! Which song is it from? I'll go search for it." Yoo Dae-joon was also immediately drawn in by the prelude.

"Those from professional academies really are different, aren't they, Chaeyoung! Haha~" It was simply two different levels.

"What are you trying to say? You're not even as good as me, so how can you look down on me? Where's your face?!"

"Just because I'm not good doesn't stop me from looking down on you, does it?"

"Yah!" She kicked Lisa directly in the butt. What if they were on camera? They were called a 'skit girl group', so what if they were a little childish?

"I love every day of my life, but sometimes I feel so...

I hope to find some inner peace, I just want to know..."

"Omo, is that Zoe?" The moment she opened her mouth, that ethereal feeling washed over them, and her singing skills! Who would believe this was a girl group member?

"She's improved again!" Kim Jennie muttered.

Kim Ji-soo loved seeing Xu Zhiyou let loose. This was what a goddess should be like. Someone so beautiful should be the center of attention.

...In my dreams I'm never far from home, in this world so far from home what am I, all my life I've been far from home, without you I'm still far from home..."

She stopped after singing a quarter of it. She still relied on this song to make money; achieving the promotional effect was enough.

"Why did you stop?" Yoo Dae-joon was engrossed in listening. Why did it just end?
