16: A performance that makes people laugh at every turn

The others ignored her and continued practicing. No one dared to rest without practicing diligently. Another assessment was coming soon, and the tension was palpable.

She lay down and didn't get up, falling asleep immediately. It really felt like a max-level boss coming to a beginner village, completely stress-free.

If it weren't for the need to clock in, she probably wouldn't even bother coming.

"Get up, you're sleeping again. You can sleep enough when you're dead in a few years, I swear I'm fed up with you." After finishing their practice, the others went to eat and found her sleeping again.

It had been like this for the past few days. Since her dancing skills were excellent, no one made a big deal out of it.

"Have you eaten? Let's go!" She rubbed her sleepy eyes and slowly got up.

"All you do is eat and sleep. If your dancing is fine, why don't you practice vocals? You come to the practice room just to lie down or sit. What's the point!"

Park Chaeyoung draped the clothes from the floor over her, grumbling incessantly.

"Actually, I didn't want to come either. I was afraid of being too special and getting isolated. How would I fit in then?"

"Hah!" She reached up and twisted her nose. "Could someone be thinking of me?"

Hearing this, Park Chaeyoung immediately rolled her eyes. "You caught a cold sleeping on the floor. Who would bother thinking of you? Go back and take some medicine, be careful not to get sick."

Arriving at the cafeteria, she saw the greens and had no appetite at all. She should have known to find Park Bom for a card. Thinking of it, she decided to do it right away. She'd go later, just wasn't sure if she was at the company.

"Jisoo, do you think Park Bom sunbaenim would be at the company right now?"

"I don't know. We'll go to the lobby later and check their schedule. Why are you asking?"

"I'm going to get a card. Eating greens every day, my mouth is going to taste like a bird, I really can't stand it."

"We need to control our weight and can't eat. Besides, you don't even know her, would she give it to you?"

"If she doesn't, then so be it. I'll go find GD sunbaenim then! There are so many artists in the company, I'll find someone."

She was thick-skinned and didn't care about rejection.

"I'll support you mentally, but just bring me some food when you eat." After saying this, she continued to pick at her greens.

"Hurry up and eat! We have class this afternoon. We still don't know what your class is." Kim Jennie urged the chatterbox.

Their courses were all targeted, with each person taking different classes based on their needs, which is why Kim Jennie asked.

"Mine? Mine is acting class. They said my acting is terrible and I need to study hard, but I'm not interested, seriously."

"I thought it would be vocal, but I didn't expect it to be acting. However, your face is indeed suitable for developing in the acting direction."

The others looked at her face and all agreed with what Kim Jennie said; that face was indeed a bit unfair.

"What about you all? What classes do you have this afternoon?"

"Jisoo and Chaeyoung have vocal, Lisa and I have rap. You're on your own."

To be honest, she didn't want to go to that darn acting class. She didn't aspire to act, so why learn it?

"Maybe I should just skip class. I really don't like acting."

"Oh, please! Don't drag us down with you."

"Yah! Park Chaeyoung, you better explain yourself. When have I ever harmed you? Otherwise, I'll pin you to the ground and beat you up."

"Last time, when you competed with the dance teacher, you set a trap for me, didn't you forget?"

"Did I? How did I set a trap for you!"

"The CEO already doesn't like me, and you told me to go to JYP. Wasn't that setting a trap for me? I hold grudges too."

"Uh! You mean that. My mouth was too fast at the time, I couldn't control it. My apologies, my apologies!"

The others felt somewhat speechless watching her quickly admit defeat. This girl was too free-spirited, completely unpredictable.

"Forget it, I'm sick too, to bother getting angry with you."

"Kamsamnida, Chaeyoung Unnie!"

"You're only ten-odd days older than me, don't call me that, it feels weird."

Park Chaeyoung was ten-odd days older than her, and Lisa was twenty-odd days younger. Her arrival couldn't change Lisa's fate as the youngest.

"Our Ms. Chaeyoung is truly beautiful and generous..."

"Stop, stop, I can't stand listening to it!"

"Hahaha ~" The other three couldn't stop laughing. Since she arrived, their monotonous practice life had been filled with much more laughter and joy.

"Zoe, did you really want to go to JYP back then?" Kim Ji-soo was still very curious, so she asked.

"Of course, if Chaeyoung hadn't pulled me back, I would have left already. I heard there's someone from our country in TWICE, and she's super pretty. I was going to flirt with girls."

"Uh???"

"What exactly did the CEO see in you? Your dancing? It shouldn't be! There are many great dancers, it wouldn't make sense for him to be so fixated on you. Do you have something else we don't know about?"

"Of course, people in the industry respect me and call me a musical genius..."

"Jisoo, look, she's showing off again. She has this habit of showing off. You absolutely cannot give her a chance, otherwise she'll never stop."

"I think so too!"

Park Chaeyoung looked at Lisa, "High five! Yay ~"

"You two are enough, I really..."

"Alright, alright, we know you're from a chaebol family. We don't dislike you for being royalty."

"Crap!" She even brought out her native language. She was a ghost of royalty, she got in completely on her own, alright?

"Forget it, I can't reason with you. Think whatever you want."

She quickly finished her food, still needing to find a meal card. Everything was secondary to food.

"Are you a hungry ghost reincarnated? Be careful not to choke!"

"Mind your own business!"

...

After eating, she came to the lobby and saw that the few people who dared to lend her their cards were, unfortunately, not around. What bad luck.

She went to the acting class and sat in the last row. This stuff really wasn't her cup of tea. She couldn't control herself and often burst into laughter, so over time, she just didn't like it.

Although she knew how to act, she really couldn't control that feeling of awkwardness, especially during imaginary object acting, which was even more cringe-worthy.

In summary, she had no talent for it. All her talent was focused on music; acting received none.

As a poor student, what she feared most came true. She was sitting quietly at the back, and they just had to make her perform. This was normal teaching, so it wasn't good to just give up.

"Zoe, perform xxxx."

"Teacher, I can't do this. How about I sing a song for you instead?"

"Don't give me that silly stuff. Don't you know this is acting class? You want to sing a song? Do you want to do a few somersaults for me to see?"

Xu Zhiyou's eyes lit up upon hearing this, and she immediately said, "Do you want to see a front flip or a back flip?"

The teacher stumbled upon hearing this, and the trainees on site burst into laughter. How could someone with such a beautiful face be so funny?

The acting teacher held her forehead. She had heard that Xu Zhiyou had high achievements in music, but she didn't expect her acting to be truly terrible.

Even if her acting was terrible, she always managed to come up with strange antics, just like now.

You couldn't say her attitude was bad; she was from such a powerful background, yet she still came to listen attentively. However, the fact that she only admitted mistakes but didn't correct them was truly unbearable.

"Look at your height, hurry up. Just perform when I tell you to perform, stop talking so much."

She could only grumble reluctantly, "So many students, and you pick on me. You're sick!"

Next was a period of imaginary object acting where she laughed at herself. If she didn't laugh, it would actually seem quite convincing. The teacher almost had a heart attack from her bad habit of constantly breaking into laughter.

You couldn't say she wasn't trying! She was indeed trying her best to perform, but the results were truly unbearable.

"Mianhae, Teacher! I really tried my best, but I couldn't control myself."

Seeing everyone in the room laughing, she knew she was going to get scolded again, so she silently stood aside like an ostrich.

"Zoe! You really, sigh ~"
