151: "Weekly Idol 2" aired

Kim Jennie, deeply envious of Xu Zhiyou's quick mind, sighed wistfully, "Lisa! Some things are just natural; you really can't envy them."

"Tsk! Stop flattering; your sister isn't falling for it. It's still the same: if you need anything, find Show Ge. She's in charge from now on."

Kim Ji-soo didn't argue, agreeing with her, "Alright, alright! Find me, find me." She always believed in solving her own problems without bothering others.

She didn't feel it normally, but after half a year as leader, she realized it was indeed a tough job, mainly about mutual understanding.

Park Chaeyoung stealthily came up beside her and planted a kiss, "Zoe! Love you! Mwah~"

A bright red lipstick mark was on her face. As expected of the steadfast Zhiyou, having such a leader made everyone feel incredibly secure.

"Ew! Gross. No more kissing without permission from now on, or I'll seal your lips."

"I'll kiss you anyway, just to annoy you."

"Pa~ Chae~ Young~"

"Jisoo, save me!"

She zipped behind Kim Ji-soo to hide, leaving Xu Zhiyou speechless. Could she really beat her up or something? This pathetic act was annoying!

"Tsk!"

Kim Ji-soo couldn't even be bothered with the two idiots. She remembered the inexplicably increased negative publicity from a while ago. "Zoe! About those toxic solo stan issues, what do you think...?"

"Show Ge, those things are unavoidable. Adjust your mindset. Once you become popular enough, many problems will resolve themselves. Look further ahead, and your thinking will broaden significantly..."

"Stop. I can't drink this bowl of chicken soup. Give me some practical advice."

Her words were so well-structured that there was no way to refute them. On closer thought, she seemed right, but at a glance, there was no actionable plan.

"I've realized that talking about the big picture with you four country bumpkins is like playing a lute to a cow."

"Yah! I'm your Unnie, can you not be so arrogant?" Kim Ji-soo raised her hand to pat her, but she smoothly dodged it.

"Jisoo! Is that enough?"

"Change it back. 'Show Ge' sounds better. Hearing you suddenly call me 'Unnie' feels creepy. Ew~"

"You're just asking for it!"

This made her exceptionally angry. "Jennie, Chaeyoung, Lisa, hold her down! Let's see if I don't beat her to death."

Their eyes lit up after hearing this. Lisa grabbed her legs, Park Chaeyoung straddled her, and Kim Jennie held her arms from the back seat.

"Damn! Have you four practiced? Such perfect teamwork?"

Xu Zhiyou watched their speed of action and thought there was no way they hadn't rehearsed this.

"You little rascals! What brand of trash bags are you, so good at pretending? Watch my Show-style Iron Sand Palm, Eighteen Palms of Descending Zhiyou, Old Lady's Horseshoe Nail... Whoosh whoosh whoosh whoosh..."

"Yah! Let go! Be careful, or I'll get you! Damn it! You dare to tickle me, Chaeyoung, you're dead, I'm telling you..."

"It wasn't me who tickled you? Don't blame me."

...

They played and bickered all the way back to the company. After recording the show, they still had to report in. As soon as they finished, they received another radio show offer, but she didn't have to participate.

"Workers, working souls, workers are superior. Go for it! Fighting! Bpai dai~" She gave them a Korean-Chinese-Thai mixed version.

"Why don't you have to go? That's not fair, I'm not going either." Park Chaeyoung gave up immediately; radio interviews were the most boring.

"Radio interviews require singing the comeback song. I don't have a part, so why would I go and ask for trouble?"

"I'll share some with you, then you'll have one. I'm very generous."

"No, no need. I don't want to steal your spotlight, Ms. Park. Bye-bye!"

Just as she was about to leave, Kim Jennie grabbed her, pulling out lyrics with lines marked from her pocket. "Zoe! I've divided them for you. Chaeyoung and I have the most parts, so we'll each give you some. Here!"

"What's this?" She took it, quickly tore it twice, and threw it into the trash can. "Gone, right! Bye-bye~"

"Yah! Do you have to be so shameless?" Park Chaeyoung couldn't stand it for a second. This was her hard work, and it was gone with two quick tears.

"Chaeyoung! It's not like I've been shameless and hypocritical for only a day or two. How do you expect me to answer that question?"

She turned her head to Kim Ji-soo and instructed, "Show Ge, remember to bring me food when you come back tonight." It was still relatively early after work, so she might even be able to earn a few more stars.

Seeing her about to leave like that, Park Chaeyoung rushed forward to grab her but was stopped by Kim Ji-soo.

"Alright! Leah Unnie said she doesn't have to go, so do you think she can still go? Let's go, let's go! Work."

"Sigh!" Life is hard, Dumpling sighed.

"Xu Useless! It's just an interview show, will it kill her? She's nothing, no ambition, just waiting to die... Yah! I don't want to go either. Wuwuwu~~"

Park Chaeyoung, annoyed, unleashed a barrage of complaints, leaving Kim Ji-soo and the other two stunned. Was this really the crybaby they knew?

Lisa reached out and touched her forehead, then looked at Kim Ji-soo and the others, confirming, "No fever!"

She slapped Lisa's hand away with a 'smack': "Lalisa! You must have a screw loose! You're crazy." She kicked the nearby trash can, and after letting out her anger, walked straight out.

"Uh? Jennie! This symptom is quite serious. She hasn't been angered into a problem, has she?"

"No way, right?"

Lisa went forward and picked up the trash can. "This time it's fine; she knows kicking a wall hurts, otherwise, her foot would be limping for a few days again."

Kim Jennie looked at the dented trash can and sighed, "Tsk tsk! Poor trash can. Sigh!"

"Let's go! What's so pitiful about a trash can? Let's pity ourselves first." Kim Ji-soo said, then quickly followed Park Chaeyoung's pace.

Lisa shrugged and followed. Kim Jennie, walking behind, thought about their packed schedule and sighed, lamenting that life was too hard.

...

Xu Zhiyou, meanwhile, was leisurely walking back to the dorm, thinking about the radio show she did when she first debuted.

She recalled how they clearly knew the answers but still asked, and then pretended to be surprised after hearing them. It was incredibly awkward.

"Sigh! Each one is a better actor than the last."

Actually, these were still acceptable. What she feared most was the host suddenly having a brain fart and pulling a 'memory lane' stunt, playing songs from popular singers years ago and asking them to praise them.

Ms. Xu genuinely hadn't heard them, and yet she could be accused of disrespecting seniors and being arrogant, etc. Tsk tsk tsk! It was utterly ridiculous.

Plus, she didn't care about the popularity on the Peninsula at all. She always just coasted along, waiting for Coachella to take off so she could go to Europe and America to earn some small money; that was the real path.

...

A few days later, "Weekly Idol" aired.

"Woohoo! She's here, she's here, my goddess is here. I can't get enough of this face."

"At first glance, stunning; at second glance, charming; at third glance, seen in dreams. But what the heck is Jisoo's Golden Fishery? Did she go fishing?"

"It's a talk show variety, I watched Irene's episode, and it was so awkward. Jisoo and Chaeyoung performed well, but even with full variety sense, they couldn't save it."

"It's alright! I love watching those makeup shows, and food shows. Uh! Forget that one, I heard Chaeyoung had an upset stomach all night after."

"Pfft hahaha! Jennie also seemed pretty miserable after eating Jisoo's cooking. Only Jisoo and Lisa are more 'poison-resistant'."

"Chaeyoung said Jennie's Kuma found a partner, and I'm still single since birth. Wuwuwu~"

"Indeed! Even Kuma found a partner, I'm worse than a dog. Wuwuwu~~"

"Jennie's variety sense is actually this good? Her adorable, clueless look is so cute, I want to squish her! Wahahaha~"
