23: Dumpling Ni
“Her cheeks are chubby, the more I look, the more she resembles Dumpling.” She reached out and pinched them. “How did you grow? Did your Eomma put a Dumpling mold on you when you were little?”
“Yah! Your Eomma is the one who puts molds on you! Are you trying to die?!”
“Look, especially when she’s angry.”
“She does!” the three of them said in unison.
“Then I unilaterally declare that I’ll call her Dumpling Ni from now on. You don’t have any objections, right?!”
“How come we never noticed before?” Kim Ji-soo rubbed her chin, staring at Kim Jennie’s profile. She really did look like Crayon Shin-chan.
“Don’t call me that, or I’ll get angry!”
“Go ahead and be angry! Dumpling just turns into a steamed bun, it doesn’t make a difference. Haha~”
“Yah! Zoe, try saying it one more time?”
“Dumpling Ni, Dumpling Ni, Ni Dumpling! Speaking of which, I suddenly want to eat Dumpling. I’m going to eat Dumpling later.”
Kim Ji-soo and the other two rarely saw Kim Jennie in such a flustered state. This little tsundere had now become a punching bag.
Seeing her pouting angrily, she felt inexplicably cute, and reached out her evil little hand to pinch her again. The soft, squishy feeling was really good.
“Get lost! Are you a pervert?!”
“Tuck in your cheek fat. I haven’t had enough oil recently, so be careful or I might bite it right off. Hehe~”
“Eww~”
Kim Jennie was utterly disgusted. She must be a hungry ghost reincarnated, actually eyeing her cheek fat.
Park Chaeyoung’s face also felt good. Kim Ji-soo and Lisa’s she hadn’t touched yet.
She just glanced at them, and the two were so scared they immediately ran away. She didn’t know what kind of Hobbies it was, but she liked to pinch people’s faces.
“Is it that serious? I won’t die if you touch me.”
“But I’m disgusted!”
Lisa quickly followed Kim Ji-soo, saying, “Me too!”
“Hmph!”
“Aren’t you going to let go? How long are you going to keep touching?!” Kim Jennie was completely fed up. Even when talking to her, she had to pinch her face.
“It’s a rare Dumpling face, what’s wrong with touching it a bit more?”
“I told you not to call me that! I’m going to fight you to the death!”
The struggling Kim Jennie was held back by one hand on her forehead. Her two short little arms flailed wildly but couldn’t reach Xu Zhiyou.
Her, Xu Zhiyou, the notorious bully, was famous for picking on short-legged people, mainly because the short-legged couldn’t outrun her. Wahahaha~
“Let go! I won’t hit you anymore!” She was so annoyed. Not only could she not win, she couldn’t even reach her.
She looked at Kim Jennie’s height, then at the other three. “Um, I have a question, can I ask you?”
Kim Jennie, tidying her clothes, blurted out, “If you have something to say, say it!”
“Didn’t you four agree to grow up together? The other three are growing normally, so what happened? Did your relationship break down halfway, and you didn’t want to play with them anymore?”
Kim Ji-soo couldn’t hold it in and sprayed the water in her mouth several meters away. Park Chaeyoung and Lisa were laughing so hard they couldn’t straighten their backs.
Kim Jennie clenched her fists, her face as dark as it could be. She was one centimeter taller than Kim Ji-soo, just looked petite.
“Is being tall so great? You’re still a performance failure, dead last. Hmph!”
“Nonsense! I’m already second to last. You’re ignoring my progress.”
Seeing her act as if she was proud rather than ashamed.
“Sigh!” All her anger finally turned into a sigh. She was at her wit’s end with her.
“Let’s go!”
“Go where?”
“To eat your Dumpling, what else?”
“You’re dreaming. The trainee cafeteria only has grass. Where would there be Dumpling?”
She had explored every corner. Park Bom and the others were also busy with performances, and she still hadn’t gotten a card.
“Look what this is?” Kim Jennie suddenly pulled out the card Xu Zhiyou had been dreaming of.
“Where did you get that?”
“Jisoo is going to film a drama with Park Sandara sunbaenim. She humbly begged for it for you. How about it? Aren’t you touched?!”
“I thought you got it. I almost looked at you, this introverted little kitten, in a new light. I didn’t expect it to still be thanks to Jisoo. Hmph~”
“Yah! I’m your Unnie, shouldn’t you show me some respect?”
“I call you Dumpling Ni, isn’t that respectful enough? That’s a term of endearment!”
She snatched the card from her hand and rushed to the cafeteria. She, Xu Zhiyou, could finally be a proper human being.
During this time, at most, she was a herbivore. Working hard and getting tired, only eating that much grass all day long, it was really enough.
Just as she reached the door, she realized she hadn’t thanked the gentle and virtuous Ms. Jisoo yet! She ran back, and under Ms. Jisoo’s bewildered expression, she hugged her face and gave her a big peck.
“Ms. Jisoo, mwah, I love you!”
The four of them wouldn’t go, so there was no need to call them. She was going to the artist cafeteria. Kim Ji-soo and the other three were too timid.
This card was quite valuable. In the future, she would definitely write a few songs for her to repay her. It was really not easy for someone as conventional as her to break the rules for herself!
Kim Jennie looked at her empty hand, then at her elder sister covering her face. “So, where’s the card?”
“She took it. Let’s go! We’re going to eat too.” Park Chaeyoung really wanted to go with her, but she really didn’t dare. The company’s hierarchy was too strict. Xu Zhiyou dared to go, but she didn’t.
Her own CEO, despite smiling at Xu Zhiyou, had no sympathy for them as trainees. If they dared to overstep, they would be packing their bags and rolling out.
There were millions of trainees on the Peninsula. Finding a few people to debut was incredibly easy. They couldn’t afford to gamble.
“Never mind, let’s go!”
Kim Ji-soo was also quite bewildered. Xu Zhiyou was the first person outside her family to kiss her, and she was still a bit unaccustomed to it.
As for Kim Ji-soo being kissed, it wasn’t strange at all. Which of them hadn’t been taken advantage of by Xu Zhiyou? They were used to it!
“I still wanted to threaten her with the card! I didn’t expect her to get it so easily! Sigh~” Kim Jennie regretted it greatly. If only she had shown just a corner, she would have had some reaction time.
“It’s useless. Anyway, we can’t use it, so whatever!”
“Lisa, what’s that in your hand?”
“What else could it be? Her phone. She ran too fast and didn’t even bring her phone.”
“You should at least put it away, don’t let others see it.”
“It’s fine! Which of those tattletales wasn’t beaten into submission? No need.”
Lisa actually wanted to put it away, but her clothes didn’t have pockets. Besides, which trainee didn’t know that only Xu Zhiyou could use a phone?
If anyone dared to tattle, Xu Zhiyou would explain it herself and teach the tattler a lesson.
“I’m just used to being careful, so I didn’t react in time.”
In the YG cafeteria, the four sat together eating. It was still a bit unusual without the chattering person beside them.
At this moment, Xu Zhiyou was in the artist area, looking at the dazzling array of food. She was truly too happy.
She definitely didn’t care about the artists’ gazes. This was good. If that clumsy person tried to educate her with the sunbae attitude, she’d be met with an iron fist.
“Hyung, is she a new artist who just debuted from the company? How come I haven’t heard of her?”
“She’s a trainee. She seems to be royalty, but I’m not sure about the specifics.”
“No wonder. As a trainee, she dares to come to the artist area.”
There was quite a lot of money in Park Sandara’s card. She would just top it up after using it. No problem.
