13: PK with the dance teacher

They were making a big scene here, and everyone around them ran over, but seeing their CEO, they didn't dare to enter.

"Wait a minute, I'll find a few artists to be judges; the competition must be fair and just."

The company's top composer, Teddy, 2NE1's lead singer Park Bom, and Bigbang's Kwon Ji-yong, who were in the company's practice room, served as the three judges.

The three of them had heard that the company signed a musical genius, and coincidentally, she caused this incident, so they all came to take a look; it's normal to enjoy gossip.

"Are you ready?"

Park Bom said into the microphone. They were all in the assessment room, with cameras at every angle, providing 360-degree high-definition coverage without blind spots.

"You'd better try your best to dance. I'll give you two chances, taking the better score. Also, record this whole thing for backup. I'm afraid you'll go online afterward to seek sympathy."

"What do you mean?"

"I mean I look down on you. Isn't that clear enough?"

Kwon Ji-yong and Park Bom exchanged glances. This girl was so arrogant, but with her cold and alluring face, it was hard to feel any dislike. In her angry state, she was especially cool and aloof.

"You said it, just you wait..."

She directly pulled up a chair and sat down to watch, too lazy to listen to her blather. The dance teacher, seeing that she couldn't get an advantage, simply started dancing.

"Does Xu Zhiyou still have a chance?"

Park Chaeyoung had only been training for three years and wasn't very strong. She always thought anyone better than her was amazing, so she was worried Xu Zhiyou would lose.

"She only came yesterday, so we don't know what her skill level is like. Let's just watch for now!" Although Kim Jennie thought it was unlikely, she couldn't dampen their side's morale, could she?

She had already included Xu Zhiyou in her camp because she liked her temper.

The teacher's dance drew rounds of applause, but Xu Zhiyou didn't even lift her head the entire time.

She was scrolling on her phone the whole time, not even glancing at her. This level of skill could be crushed by any student at the bottom of the Julia Dance Department.

After she finished, she put away her phone and saw the teacher still looking at her provocatively. She couldn't help but say, "It's not your fault you haven't seen much of the world, but showing off in front of me is your mistake. Move aside."

"Hahaha~"

Park Bom couldn't hold it in. This was the first time she'd heard something like that, but realizing the situation was inappropriate, she quickly shut up.

Kim Jennie had held onto a little hope just now. Really, what was the point of a verbal battle? She covered her face!

Park Chaeyoung had always been disliked by the dance teacher, so seeing her so tough felt very satisfying. She became even more reluctant for Xu Zhiyou to leave.

Although Kim Ji-soo knew that Xu Zhiyou leaving would be more beneficial to her, she had never been petty. Her competitive spirit was very strong.

She never relied on crooked methods to solidify her position, so she still hoped Xu Zhiyou could stay. She also quite liked this unpretentious personality.

Lisa had already become Xu Zhiyou's little fan girl. Ever since she immediately beat someone without a word, Lisa herself had been treated like that when she first arrived, feeling it was a tradition.

However, she was so cowardly back then, only daring to go back and secretly wipe her tears. She wasn't much better now, as some teachers would still inexplicably target her.

When she first saw Xu Zhiyou being targeted, she was thinking about how to comfort her so that her self-esteem wouldn't be hurt. She didn't expect her to be so volatile, which provided some solace for her own cowardly behavior back then.

"Xu Zhiyou, what's your song?"

"Does she even need me to carefully pick a song? Just freestyle to the rhythm of any song."

"You asked me just now if there was a chance. I'll answer you now: no chance!" Kim Jennie gave up struggling immediately after hearing this.

"That bed really has magic. It's true that anyone who sleeps there can't stay. Alas!"

"She said she's going to JYP. I'll ask Na-yeon to look after her when I'm resting!" She felt that this temper would be a struggle no matter where she went.

"I really don't want her to leave, Jennie-oni, what should I do?"

"What else can we do? Just deal with it. I don't want her to leave either, but what can we do?"

"They haven't even competed yet? What are you three doing!"

"Lisa, are you sick? She's a professional dancer. You can't even do it, do you think she can win by freestyling?"

"Anyway, I have confidence in her. Let's watch first. If she loses, she loses! She's applying for extracurricular practice; she's a university student, unlike us who have no retreat. Calm down!"

...

She walked straight to the center of the stage, made an OK gesture, and then the music started. She hadn't heard it before, but it didn't matter; her body was trained to the point of reflexively reacting to drum beats.

Following the rhythm of the music, her initial movements were simple and fluid. The music started quite slowly, requiring a build-up.

Everyone's gaze was firmly drawn. Her dance was so light, with a sense of tranquility within the movement.

"I said let's watch first, didn't I? Look how fluid her body is. You can tell her foundation is very solid. Even if she loses, the company will keep her."

"I didn't expect it! I really didn't expect it. I underestimated her. She didn't study dance in university, did she?" Kim Jennie also had some skill and could tell how impressive the dance was just by looking at it.

"But she said her strongest skill is vocals, so it shouldn't be dance." Park Chaeyoung recalled her saying vocals were her best.

Kim Ji-soo suddenly relaxed. Just as Lisa said, with this dancing ability, even if she lost, the company would keep her.

As for her staying and taking her 'face' position, she hadn't even thought about it. Their former nine-member group was now down to four, so even with one more person, she would still have a place. Why worry?

With her looks, she could go to any company. There were so many entertainment companies on the Peninsula, there would always be an opportunity.

The four of them were relieved, but the dance teacher began to get scared. Professionals are professionals. It was clear this person's skill was beyond her own.

This dance, combining movement and stillness, was truly not something an amateur could achieve. She suddenly regretted why she provoked her.

Park Bom, as the main vocalist of 2NE1, was also a good dancer. She could tell at a glance that this young girl's dancing was much stronger than hers. Dance is about feeling; if it's not good, no matter how flashy, it's just not good.

Teddy and Kwon Ji-yong also felt that this girl indeed had skill, no wonder she was so arrogant just now. Weren't they also quite arrogant back in their day?

The trainees were also whispering. After all, they had all received some training, so they had basic discernment.

...

The music's rhythm suddenly quickened. Xu Zhiyou executed a graceful turn, her body like an arrow released from a bow, instantly unleashing stored energy.

Immediately following, the rhythm became light again, shedding the explosive power. Her dance steps were light yet powerful, every movement precise and perfectly executed, as if drawing elegant curves in the air.

"Jennie-oni, did you see that? How are her limbs so obedient to her? Mine aren't!"

Kim Jennie was completely engrossed. Being suddenly shaken, she almost wanted to hit her. Seriously!

"I saw it, I saw it, but you should ask Lisa about dancing, why ask me?"

"I'm nowhere near her level, the gap is huge. The way she hits these rhythms, I'd even believe it was pre-choreographed, but she's freestyling. Anyway, even if you gave me a few more years, I couldn't do it."

"Tsk tsk tsk! Then your first place in dance assessments will be taken away."

"Let it be taken! I can just learn from her. Anyway, I'm her first fan, I don't care."

"Your first in dance, my first in visuals. Let's shake hands."

"Haha!"

During the climax, the music reached its peak. She leaped into the air, completing an almost impossible series of spins, then ended with a breathtaking freeze.
