160: Chapter 160 Discussing the Plan with Su Yuran
"Yu Rou, you really are..."
"What am I?"
"A Genius."
Han Yurou blinked.
"Then... do you think this plan is feasible?"
Su Yuran thought for a moment.
"It's feasible, but you have to figure out how to get your mother to accept it."
Han Yurou furrowed her brows in distress.
"That's exactly what I can't figure out, which is why I came to you."
Su Yuran pondered for a while.
"Just keep bringing up the topic with Aunt Qing to get her used to the idea; slowly, she'll accept it."
Han Yurou nodded thoughtfully.
"Also, you need to create more opportunities for the three of you to be alone together. Get your mother used to you being there, and get her used to the feeling of the three of you being together."
"But..." Han Yurou hesitated.
"Will Mom feel like I'm in the way?"
"She might at first, but slowly, she'll get used to it. Humans are creatures of habit."
Han Yurou listened intently, nodding from time to time.
Su Yuran looked at her, feeling a bit emotional.
This girl was really going all out to pursue Qin Lin.
"Thank you, Sister Yuran." Han Yurou stood up.
"I'll go back and think about it."
"Go ahead. If you need any help, just come to me."
Su Yuran leaned back on the lounger with a smile on her lips.
...
On the other side of the observation deck, Han Qing was still lying on the lounge chair, motionless.
Sunglasses covered her eyes, making it impossible to tell what she was thinking.
Li Ying was reading a book nearby, occasionally looking up.
Lin Wanwan and Xu Xue had already returned to their rooms to rest; pregnant women needed plenty of rest.
No one knew where Yuling had gone.
Li Ying closed her book and looked at Han Qing.
"Sister Han Qing, what are you thinking about?"
Han Qing snapped out of it and took off her sunglasses.
"Nothing."
Li Ying smiled.
"Sister Han Qing, did you know? Every time you lie, you unconsciously purse your lips."
Han Qing froze for a moment and subconsciously touched her lips.
Li Ying laughed even more happily.
"See, I was right."
Han Qing looked at her helplessly.
"Li Ying, you really are good at observing people."
"Occupational habit. As a fashion designer, how can I not observe people?"
She paused, her tone softening slightly.
"Sister Han Qing, are you worried about the pregnancy?"
Han Qing fell silent.
Li Ying continued, "Actually, you don't need to care too much about that. Qin Lin isn't that kind of person."
"I know, but I can't help it."
Li Ying nodded.
"I understand."
The two sat in silence for a while.
Han Qing suddenly spoke up:
"Li Ying, tell me... what if I can never get pregnant? What should I do?"
Li Ying looked at her and said seriously:
"Then you just don't get pregnant. It's not like Qin Lin would kick you out because of that."
"But..."
"No buts," Li Ying interrupted her.
"Sister Han Qing, you're too competitive. You always want to prove you're useful, but actually, on this vehicle, you don't need to prove anything."
As Han Qing listened, she felt touched, but also a bit bitter.
She understood the logic.
But for some things, she just couldn't get over the hurdle.
Just then, Han Yurou came skipping over.
"Mom! Sister Li Ying!"
She walked to her mother's side and sat on the adjacent lounge chair.
"Mom, why are you still lying here? Why don't you go down and swim for a bit?"
Han Qing looked at her.
Her daughter had a smile on her face and her eyes were bright; it was obvious she was in a good mood.
"Where did you just go?"
"I went to... look at the ecological box."
Han Qing nodded, not thinking much of it.
Han Yurou leaned back on the lounge chair, looking at the distant sky with a faint smile on her lips.
The first step of her plan had already been taken.
Next, it was just a matter of how to implement it.
...
Yuling finally finished picking a basket of strawberries.
She looked at the basket full of bright red fruit and took a deep breath.
"Yuling, you can do this," she told herself. "It's just delivering some strawberries, no big deal."
She carried the basket and walked out of the ecological box.
There was still no one in the hall.
She walked toward the Drivers Cabin, her heart rate starting to accelerate again.
Reaching the door, she stopped.
Deep breath.
Another deep breath.
Then, she raised her hand and knocked on the door.
Inside the Drivers Cabin, Qin Lin was leaning on the sofa, trying hard to calm the fire that Han Yurou had stirred up.
It was no use.
His mind was full of images of that girl leaning against him.
And that line she said: "Sooner or later, I'm going to eat you up."
The more he thought about it, the more restless he became.
He simply stood up and paced around the Drivers Cabin.
"Lighting a fire and then running away, how impressive."
Just as he was thinking this, a knock sounded at the door.
Qin Lin was startled for a moment, then he smiled.
Han Yurou was back already?
Did the girl have a change of heart and come back to take responsibility for putting out the fire?
He walked to the door with a mischievous grin.
Since you've delivered yourself to my doorstep, don't blame me for being impolite.
He decided to give her a surprise.
He gently opened the door and slipped behind it.
The door was pushed open, and a figure walked in.
Qin Lin grabbed her from behind in a hug.
"Little girl, you actually dared to come back."
Midway through his sentence, he froze.
The body in his arms stiffened.
It was a completely different feel.
Slenderer than Han Yurou, softer, and more... nervous.
He looked down and saw a face flushed deep red, and a pair of wide eyes filled with terror.
Yuling.
It wasn't Han Yurou.
Qin Lin's arms were still around her waist, maintaining the embrace.
His other hand... was resting somewhat improperly on a place it shouldn't be.
Yuling was completely paralyzed.
Her mind went blank.
She had just been thinking about what to say after knocking when the door opened.
She had barely stepped inside and hadn't even had time to see the situation when she was grabbed from behind.
A pair of powerful arms encircled her waist.
A warm, large hand... pressed against her chest.
She could feel the shape of that hand, the temperature of the palm, she could feel...
Her face instantly caught fire, turning red from her cheeks to her ears, down her neck, and even below her collarbone.
She wanted to scream, but she couldn't.
She wanted to run, but her legs were too weak to move.
She wanted to push him away, but her hands completely refused to obey.
She could only stand there rigidly, feeling the position of that hand and the breath of the person behind her.
One second.
Two seconds.
Three seconds.
Time seemed to have frozen.
Qin Lin was also stunned.
He hadn't expected the person coming in to be Yuling at all.
Why was she here?
He instinctively wanted to let go, but his body didn't seem to cooperate.
They remained frozen for a few seconds.
Then he snapped out of it, hurriedly let go, and took a step back.
"Yuling? Why is it you?"
Yuling still stood in place, motionless.
Her brain was still in a crashed state, completely unable to process everything that had just happened.
That was her first time being touched by the opposite sex.
Her first time being hugged.
Her first time being... pressed there.
And that person was her beloved Brother Lin.
She didn't know what to do.
Qin Lin looked at her flushed face and dazed expression, feeling a bit guilty.
"Yuling? Are you okay?"
Yuling finally came to her senses.
Her first reaction was: run.
But her legs were too weak to move.
Her second reaction was: speak.
But her throat felt blocked by something, and she couldn't make a sound.
Finally, she could only stand there, head bowed, and say in a voice like a mosquito:
"I... I came to deliver strawberries..."
