64: Su Yuran is helping out again.

Around eight o'clock, breakfast was ready.

Lin Wanwan made simple sandwiches:

The bread was taken from the supermarket space, filled with fried eggs and lettuce, along with thin slices of ham.

Han Yurou returned from the ecological box, washed her hands, and sat down:

“Sister Wanwan, another batch of lettuce has grown today; we can make a salad.”

“Okay.”

Lin Wanwan replied with a smile.

The door to room 003 opened, and Han Qing walked out leaning on a crutch.

She had already changed out of her pajamas and put on that pure black slim-fit knit dress.

The one she had just exchanged for yesterday.

It seemed she really liked wearing this outfit.

She insisted on wearing it even though she was injured.

In the morning light, the effect of the dress was even more pronounced.

The high-elasticity fabric wrapped from her neck to her ankles, perfectly outlining the curves of a mature woman:

The curve of her chest, the slenderness of her waist, the roundness of her hips, and the long lines of her legs.

Although she wore a thin cardigan over it, it still couldn't hide her breathtaking figure.

Qin Lin only took one look before averting his gaze.

See no evil, see no evil... “Morning.”

Han Qing greeted them, her voice still carrying the laziness of someone who had just woken up.

“I slept very well last night; it's the first time in a month I've slept so soundly.”

“That's good,” Qin Lin said. “How does your foot feel?”

“Much better, the swelling has gone down a lot.”

Han Qing sat down with Han Yurou's assistance.

“Wanwan helped me change the dressing yesterday. The wound is very clean with no signs of infection. It should be fine in another week.”

Breakfast began.

Han Yurou chattered away about the progress in the ecological box.

Lin Wanwan responded occasionally, while Han Qing ate quietly, asking a question or two every now and then.

At that moment, the door to Room 001 opened.

Su Yuran walked out wearing a loose T-shirt and shorts, her hair a bit messy and her eyes still slightly bleary.

But her mental state was excellent, her cheeks were rosy, and there was a hint of a smile at the corner of her mouth.

“Morning, everyone.” She let out a yawn. “I overslept.”

Han Yurou looked at her, then at Qin Lin, her eyes darting between them, but she said nothing.

But Lin Wanwan noticed.

She saw that Su Yuran's legs were a bit weak when she walked, and her movements were more careful than usual when she sat down.

As someone who had gone through the same thing, she understood what that meant.

They must have battled for a very, very long time last night.

How envious.

Fortunately, it would be her turn tonight.

Hee hee!

“Yuran, have some milk.”

Lin Wanwan pushed the cup over.

“Replenish your nutrition.”

“Thank you, Sister Wanwan.”

Su Yuran took it, and the two shared a look of tacit understanding.

Breakfast ended in a subtle atmosphere.

Han Yurou cleared the dishes, Lin Wanwan went to organize the medicine inventory in the Medical Room, and Han Qing exercised her ankle in the living room.

The doctor had suggested moderate movement to promote blood circulation.

Su Yuran tugged at Qin Lin's sleeve and whispered:

“Accompany me to the ecological box to take a look?”

The two walked into the ecological box.

The door closed; they were surrounded by green plants, and the air was moist and warm.

“How was it?” Su Yuran asked. “Last night... was it effective?”

“I don't know,” Qin Lin told the truth.

“The System hasn't given an answer yet. However, last night was mainly... well, a warm-up.”

Su Yuran blushed. “What warm-up? That sounds so crude.”

“It's the truth.” Qin Lin smiled. “Besides, weren't you enjoying yourself just as much as before last night?”

“Shut up.”

Su Yuran gave him a light punch and then leaned against his shoulder.

“Seriously, if I get pregnant, will you be happy?”

“Of course I'll be happy,” Qin Lin said seriously.

Su Yuran nodded. “We have an RV, a team, and a doctor. It's so much better than struggling outside.”

She paused. “And, I want to have a child for you. This is my wish, not a mission.”

Qin Lin felt a warmth in his heart and held her tightly.

“By the way,” Su Yuran suddenly said, “what do you plan to do about Wanwan's side?”

“She said tonight.” Qin Lin had a bit of a headache. “But I'm afraid you...”

“I don't mind.”

Su Yuran spoke very frankly.

“Truly. In the apocalypse, with the five of us squeezed into one vehicle, traditional moral concepts have long since ceased to apply.”

“What's important is that everyone is willing, trusts each other, and supports each other.”

She looked at Qin Lin. “Moreover, if I really do get pregnant, it won't be convenient for the next few months. You'll need... well, you'll need someone to accompany you.”

“Yuran...”

“Don't get all emotional.” Su Yuran smiled.

“I'm just stating facts. Besides, Wanwan and I are very close; I know she likes you too. It's quite good that the three of us can get along like this.”

Qin Lin didn't know what to say, so he could only hold her tightly.

There was a knock on the door of the ecological box, and Han Yurou's voice came through:

“Brother Lin, Sister Yuran, can I come in to pick some lettuce?”

The two separated, and Su Yuran went to open the door:

“Come in.”

Han Yurou entered with a small basket and began picking lettuce leaves.

She was very careful, only picking the outer mature leaves and leaving the inner tender buds to continue growing.

“Yu Rou,” Su Yuran suddenly asked.

“What do you think of Brother Lin?”

Qin Lin had a headache; this girl was starting again.

She really wasn't jealous at all.

She was working even harder than he was.

Han Yurou didn't even look back. “He's great; he saved me and Mom, gave us a place to live, and provided food and drink.”

“Just that?”

“What else?”

Han Yurou turned her head and blinked.

“Sister Yuran, what are you trying to ask?”

“Nothing.” Su Yuran smiled. “Go on with your work.”

Han Yurou finished picking the vegetables and left.

Only the two of them were left in the ecological box again.

Qin Lin said, “She figured it out.”

“So what if she figured it out?”

Su Yuran shrugged.

“She would have found out sooner or later anyway. The vehicle is only so big; nothing can be hidden.”

She was right.

With five people living in the space of one RV, privacy was a luxury.

Even though last night's events were soundproofed, Han Yurou seeing him come out of Room 001 this morning was as good as making it public.

But it was just as well; it saved him from having to explain later.

“I'm going to help Wanwan organize the medicine,” Su Yuran said. “You go plan the route; we need to reach Ning City as soon as possible.”

“Okay.”

The two left the ecological box.

Qin Lin returned to the driver's cab and pulled up the System map.

The route was already planned; if no accidents occurred, they would reach the outskirts of Ning City in the next two days.

But the situation inside the city was unknown; there might be gatherings of survivors, there might be marauders, or it might be... entirely filled with corpses.

He needed to formulate a plan for entering the city:

Where to enter from?

How to retreat if they encountered danger?

And then there was the matter of the crystal stones.

If they could find new crystal stones in Ning City, even if they were only Elementary level, it would be good.

It could replenish some survival points or the RV's energy.

While Qin Lin was thinking, the System suddenly popped up a notification:

【Detected weak energy accompanied by severe low-temperature fluctuations nearby】

【Coordinates: 118.76 East Longitude, 32.04 North Latitude】

【Distance: 8.2 kilometers】

【Energy Type: Unidentified, suspected mixed attributes】

【Suggestion: Proceed to investigate; there may be crystal stone yields】

Qin Lin's spirits lifted.

Energy fluctuations?

Mixed attributes?

Ever since the RV upgraded to Lv3, it had gained this detection function.

He no longer had to search for locations one by one himself.

Could it be... a sign of a Cold-Heat Transition Zone?

He looked at the coordinate position and marked it on the map.
