65: It would be troublesome if he fell.

That was a hilly area southeast of Ning City, not on the main road, requiring a detour.

But it was worth a visit.

If there really were mixed-attribute crystal stones, they might be of special help for the RV's upgrade.

Qin Lin noted down the coordinates and continued planning the route.

Outside the RV, the blizzard continued.

But inside the vehicle, a new day had begun.

There were challenges, and there was hope.

There were also complex emotional entanglements.

This was life in the apocalypse... At ten in the morning, the RV restarted and continued driving south.

Su Yuran went back to her room to catch up on sleep because of last night's "exertion."

Han Yurou was busy in the ecological box, while Lin Wanwan was organizing the medicine list for the Medical Room and the inventory list for the supermarket space.

This was the task Han Qing had given her: to take stock of the existing medicine and supplies.

It was to facilitate early warnings for supply shortages.

After all, the RV did not yet have a function to automatically organize these things.

Han Qing sat on the living room sofa, her feet resting on a small stool, holding her phone and reading a medical book.

It was downloaded from the RV's electronic Library.

She read intently, occasionally recording something.

After driving for a while in the cockpit, Qin Lin switched to autopilot mode and came to the living room to rest.

"Qin Lin," Han Qing looked up, "didn't you sleep well last night?"

Qin Lin was stunned for a moment: "Why do you ask?"

"Looking at your complexion."

Han Qing put down her book, her professional doctor's gaze scanning his face.

"There are slight dark circles under your eyes, your pupils are slightly dilated, and your skin's hydration is low."

"These are all signs of insufficient sleep or poor sleep quality."

Qin Lin thought to himself:

As expected of a doctor, her observation skills are sharp.

He indeed hadn't slept well last night.

The first half of the night was spent "battling" in Su Yuran's room.

Although he slept in the second half of the night, it wasn't deep sleep, as his mind was still thinking about the mission.

He got up early again in the morning.

"Maybe a little," Qin Lin said vaguely, "there's been a lot going on lately."

"You need to pay attention to your rest."

Han Qing said seriously.

"You are the team's driver and decision-maker; your state affects everyone."

"Excessive fatigue leads to a decline in judgment, which is very dangerous in the apocalypse."

She paused: "I watched Wanwan organize the medicine today; there are some restorative Chinese patent medicines and multivitamins."

"I'll prepare some for you later to help you regulate your body."

"Thank you, Aunt Qing," Qin Lin blurted out.

As soon as the words left his mouth, both of them were stunned.

Han Qing blinked: "What did you call me?"

"Uh..." Qin Lin then realized, "Dr. Han, I'm sorry, I..."

"No, it's quite good," Han Qing smiled.

"Actually, I wanted to say, you guys shouldn't keep calling me Dr. Han, Dr. Han."

"It's normal to call me that in a hospital, but on this vehicle, everyone is going to live together for a long time; calling me that seems too distant."

She looked at Qin Lin: "Just call me Aunt Qing. I'm almost thirty-eight years old, much older than you all; calling me 'Aunt' isn't overdoing it."

"Wanwan and Yu Rou's friends all call me that."

Qin Lin nodded: "Okay, Aunt Qing."

The moment he said the name, he suddenly had a strange feeling.

"Aunt Qing"... compared to the cold "Dr. Han."

This form of address added a sense of closeness.

It also added a sense of... taboo?

A thirty-seven-year-old mature woman.

With a fine figure and an intellectual temperament, wearing a form-fitting black long dress.

Sitting in front of you, asking you to call her "Aunt Qing"... Qin Lin shook his head, suppressing those messy thoughts.

"Everyone should call me that from now on; it's more intimate."

As Han Qing was speaking, Lin Wanwan came out of the Medical Room, holding a list:

"Aunt Qing, the medicine inventory is finished. Please take a look."

She naturally called her "Aunt Qing."

After all, the two of them were very familiar.

Han Qing took the list and checked it carefully.

Qin Lin sat nearby, his gaze unconsciously falling on her.

The light shone on Han Qing, making the texture of the black knit dress even more apparent.

The elasticity of the fabric caused her every movement to drive changes in the curves of her body.

When she sat, her waist tightened, and the arc of her chest stood naturally... Qin Lin looked away and took a sip of water.

See no evil, see no evil... but his mind couldn't help but make comparisons:

Su Yuran was young and energetic, with a well-proportioned figure;

Lin Wanwan was gentle and soft, with graceful curves;

Han Qing was mature and charming, with the kind of charm that comes from years of refinement... Stop!

Qin Lin gave himself a mental slap.

What was he thinking? She's a doctor.

She's an important member of the team.

"The list is fine."

Han Qing returned the list to Lin Wanwan.

"Wanwan, thank you for your hard work. The categorization is well done; it will be convenient to use this way."

"It's my duty," Lin Wanwan smiled. "Then I'll go help Yu Rou with the ecological box."

After she left, only Qin Lin and Han Qing remained in the living room.

The atmosphere suddenly became quiet.

There was only the slight vibration of the RV driving and the sound of the air conditioning System blowing.

Han Qing continued reading her e-book, and Qin Lin also took out the electronic map to study the route.

But for some reason, he always felt a bit uneasy.

Maybe it was because of what happened last night, maybe because of Han Qing's outfit today.

Maybe because of that "Aunt Qing"... "Qin Lin," Han Qing suddenly spoke, "can I ask you a question?"

"Please speak."

"Can this vehicle... always maintain an environment like this?"

Han Qing asked very seriously.

"I mean, is the energy really infinite? Will the food really not run out?"

Qin Lin thought for a moment.

"Regarding energy and food, the supermarket space has reserves, and the ecological box can produce some vegetables. Combined with what we collect along the way, there's no problem in the short term."

"But in the long run... we need constant replenishment."

"And the RV's System needs to be upgraded at any time."

"System."

Han Qing repeated the word.

"You mentioned it before, but I still don't quite understand. What System is it? Who created it? What is its purpose?"

Qin Lin had also thought about these questions, but there were no answers.

"I don't know," he said honestly. "It's probably because of this disaster that it bound me and this vehicle together."

"It gives me missions, rewards, and also punishments."

"As for the existence behind it... it could be alien technology, high-dimensional life, or some kind of natural phenomenon we can't understand."

Han Qing was silent for a while:

"Do you think it has malicious intent toward us?"

"Not at the moment," Qin Lin said. "Everything the System provides is survival help."

"Although the missions are sometimes... well, a bit awkward, the rewards indeed improve our survival capabilities."

Han Qing nodded calmly and didn't ask further.

Instead, she asked another question.

"Yuran and Wanwan both seem to be close to you?"

Well, she found out too.

Qin Lin smiled, which was a silent admission.

Fortunately, Han Qing didn't press him.

Qin Lin breathed a sigh of relief.

Han Qing put down her phone, "I'm going to the bathroom."

She stood up leaning on her crutches.

Her left foot couldn't take weight yet, so she had to rely on her right foot and crutches for support.

Over the past few days, she had become accustomed to this way of moving, and her movements were fairly skilled.

Qin Lin looked down to continue studying the map, but his peripheral vision still watched Han Qing's movements.

After all, her foot injury hadn't healed; it would be trouble if she fell.
