214: Chapter 214 Take His Woman Away
Along the way, Su Yuran didn't say a word.
Su Yuling remained silent as well.
Qin Lin walked ahead, his heart feeling somewhat apprehensive.
They entered the building, went up to the second floor, and walked to that door.
Qin Lin stopped and looked back at the sisters.
"Are you ready?"
Su Yuran took a deep breath and nodded.
Qin Lin pushed open the door.
Inside the room, Li Ran sat on the sofa, her eyes red.
Su Zhenyun stood beside her.
The five women sat on the other side, not daring to make a sound.
After all, the man's daughters had arrived.
They were the outsiders.
When Su Yuran saw her mother, tears instantly welled up.
"Mom..."
Li Ran stood up, ran over, and pulled her daughter into an embrace.
"Yuran! My Yuran!"
Mother and daughter held each other, crying together.
Su Yuling also walked over, and Li Ran pulled her into the embrace as well.
"Yuling! Mommy thought I'd never see you again..."
The three of them held each other and cried for a long time.
Su Zhenyun stood nearby, watching his wife and daughters, his eyes also turning red.
He walked over, wanting to hug his daughters, but Li Ran glared at him, and he shrank back.
Su Yuran saw this and called out.
"Dad."
Su Zhenyun's tears fell.
"Yuran... Yuling..."
Once they had cried their fill, Li Ran pulled her daughters down to sit and began asking everything.
"How did you survive? How did you get here? How is your health?"
Su Yuran briefly recounted their experiences, from the outbreak of the apocalypse to meeting Qin Lin, and from the narrow escapes while traveling south to their current life in the RV.
Li Ran listened with her heart in her throat, occasionally glancing at Qin Lin, her eyes filled with growing gratitude.
Su Yuling sat to the side, remaining silent the whole time.
Her gaze moved from her mother to her father, and then from her father to the five women in the corner, her eyes very cold.
Li Ran noticed and took her hand.
"Yuling, what's wrong?"
Su Yuling shook her head.
"It's nothing."
Li Ran followed her gaze to the five women in the corner, and her expression darkened again.
She glanced at Su Zhenyun, who lowered his head guiltily.
Su Yuran looked at the five women, then at her father, and then deliberately asked:
"Dad, they are..."
Su Zhenyun opened his mouth but couldn't find the words.
Li Ran gave a cold laugh.
"Them? They're your father's little mistresses, brought all the way from the north to the south, each one younger than the last."
Su Yuran fell silent.
She had long known her father had women on the outside, but she hadn't expected there to be so many, and even less that he would still be bringing them along during the apocalypse.
Su Yuling's gaze grew even colder.
She didn't blame her father for having so many mistresses, but rather for abandoning her mother and sister for the sake of these women.
That was what truly broke her heart.
The atmosphere became awkward.
Qin Lin stood at the door, not knowing what to say.
Su Yuran suddenly smiled.
The smile was faint, tinged with a trace of bitterness.
"Dad, you're something else."
Su Zhenyun's face flushed red.
"Yuran, I..."
"Don't explain."
Su Yuran interrupted him.
"I don't blame you. It's the apocalypse; just being alive is enough."
She looked at the five women, her gaze scanning their faces.
One of them had already hidden behind the others.
Su Yuran knew that was her maternal aunt.
Sigh!
This really was...
"Are you coming with us? There's still room on the RV."
Initially, she had the idea of taking both her parents away.
But seeing the situation now, she felt it was unlikely, yet she still decided to ask.
Without a hint of hesitation, Su Zhenyun said:
"I think this shelter is quite good, so I won't go and crowd onto the RV with you."
Su Zhenyun naturally didn't want to leave; this was essentially his base of operations.
He had food, drink, and his mistresses—it was great.
The RV?
He could imagine the scene on the RV: a bunch of people squeezed inside, probably not even getting enough to eat.
Su Yuran had long seen that her father wouldn't leave; he just wanted to stay here and enjoy himself, so she wasn't particularly surprised.
"Fine, staying here is your choice, but Mom..."
She turned to Li Ran.
"Mom, come with me."
Li Ran was stunned for a moment.
"Go with you?"
Su Yuran nodded.
"Yes, come with us. There's room on the RV."
Li Ran looked at her daughter, then at Su Zhenyun, and hesitated.
Su Zhenyun grew anxious.
"Yuran, your mother is with me..."
"With you for what?"
Su Yuran looked at him coldly.
"To be targeted by your mistresses along with you?"
Su Zhenyun was speechless.
Looking at her husband's pathetic state, Li Ran suddenly smiled, looking somewhat happy.
It was as if all the frustration she'd built up recently was finally being released.
"Alright, I'll go with you."
Su Zhenyun's expression changed.
"Xiao Ran!"
Li Ran stood up and looked at him.
"Su Zhenyun, I've spent half my life with you. It's not like I didn't know about those things you did outside."
"I just didn't want to say anything, but what you did later... was truly too much."
She pointed at the five women in the corner.
"One or two would be one thing, but you kept five! And you have them from the north all the way to the south! What do you take me for?"
"And those who aren't here—do you dare say there aren't others elsewhere?"
Su Zhenyun kept his head down, not daring to speak.
Li Ran took a deep breath.
"I could endure all of that, I could even accept it, but when the apocalypse came, you actually left your daughters at home and ignored them just to protect your mistresses."
"You really are..."
"Forget it, I'm not going to argue with you anymore. I'm tired. You can live with your mistresses. I'm leaving."
She turned and took Su Yuran and Su Yuling's hands.
"Let's go. Take Mommy to see your RV."
Su Yuran nodded.
The three of them walked out.
At the door, Li Ran suddenly stopped and looked back at the five women in the corner.
Then she looked at her sister, Li Yi.
"Xiaoyi, are you coming with your sister?"
Only then did Li Yi look up, and then she said firmly:
"I... I'll stay with Brother-in-law."
Li Ran was so angry at these words that her hands trembled. She pointed at her sister and scolded:
"You... you're really going to be the death of me."
Li Yi didn't dare to speak.
Su Yuran looked at her aunt, her brow furrowed.
"Auntie, are you really not coming with us? The RV can really hold a lot of people."
"Yuran, I don't like traveling around. It's quite good here."
After saying this, she didn't forget to glance at Su Zhenyun.
Su Yuran knew that her aunt's 'love-brain' was acting up again.
She could only sigh; she had wanted to try and win her aunt over.
After all, her aunt was someone who met the rating requirements. What a pity.
Li Ran didn't bother with her sister anymore, respecting her choice, and looked at the other four.
"What about you four... who wants to come with me?"
The four women were stunned.
Su Zhenyun was also stunned, and then he said loudly:
"Li Ran, what are you doing?"
These were all his women; was she really trying to take them all away?
Li Ran ignored him and looked at the four women.
"What do you get out of following him? Is it because he's old? Because he has money? Because he keeps a bunch of women?"
She paused.
"My daughter's vehicle has food and drink, and it's safe and comfortable. If you want to leave, come with me."
The four women looked at each other.
After a few seconds, one of the younger women stepped forward.
"I'll go."
