320: Chapter 320 Entering the Interdimensional Passage

The The Ark completed its transformation from Lv8 to Lv9 within seventy-two hours.

The moment the final purple-gold light merged into the hull, the The Ark was no longer just an "The Ark."

It was an Interstellar Navigator, a miraculous ship capable of piercing through world barriers, traversing planes, and sailing through any Universe.

From a dilapidated Doomsday RV to a deep-space The Ark.

[Lv9 The Ark: Deep Space The Ark form complete]

[New core functions:]

Cross-World Portal: Can safely traverse world barriers and enter other planes.

Otherworldly Material Storage Area: Exclusive storage space.

Deep Space Scanning Array upgrade: Detection range extended to 1,000 light-years.

protective shield upgrade: Can resist energy erosion from different dimensional planes.

Intelligent System integration: All subsystems are centrally managed by the central controller.

Qin Lin read through the descriptions of these new functions and then scrolled to the very bottom.

[Lv9 → Lv10: Otherworldly The Ark]

[Unlock condition: Complete Otherworldly Exploration Mission]

[Note: Lv10 upgrade conditions will be gradually unlocked during the Otherworldly exploration process]

There were no specific material requirements, nor were there specific numbers.

The upgrade conditions for Lv10 were no longer about collecting a certain amount of crystal stone or minerals, but required completing an Otherworldly exploration mission.

This meant that simple resource collection was no longer enough; the The Ark needed to explore unknown worlds and bring back unknown data.

Qin Lin stood in the center of the spherical bridge, with the ball of light hovering beside his hand.

On the holographic screen, the entrance to the Otherworldly Passage was already directly in front of the The Ark, less than a million kilometers away.

At the The Ark's current speed, it would arrive in a few minutes.

Everyone was looking at him.

Qin Lin looked around and said, "The The Ark has finished upgrading. Next stop, the Otherworldly Passage."

The living room fell silent for a moment.

Han Yurou got off the treadmill, held Qin Yue, walked up to Qin Lin, and asked, "The Otherworldly Passage? Where is it?"

Qin Lin pulled up the Otherworldly Passage detected by the System on the holographic projection console.

It was directly in front of the The Ark's current flight path and could be reached in three days.

The passage was vortex-shaped, presenting an irregular, constantly changing form under the detection of the Deep Space Scanning Array.

It was not stable or static, but a dynamic form that was slowly breathing like a living thing.

The System indicated that this was a nascent Otherworldly Passage connecting two different worlds.

After upgrading to Lv9, the The Ark possessed the ability to safely traverse such passages.

Of course, "safe" was relative, and the System could not predict what was on the other side of the passage.

Li Ying stood next to the holographic projection console, holding Qin Xu, and looking at the rotating vortex, she said, "Whatever is on the other side, it doesn't matter as long as our family is together."

Han Qing walked over from the entrance of the Medical Room, stood next to Qin Lin, and reached out to hold his hand.

Her hand was warmer than before; perhaps it was because she was pregnant and her body temperature had risen.

Qin Lin held her hand back, not letting go.

"Qin Lin," Han Qing called him.

"Hmm."

"If we go there, can we still come back?"

Qin Lin nodded. "Yes, the Spatial Anchor is still there, and we can jump back at any time."

Han Qing nodded and did not ask again.

Su Yuling stood up from the sofa, walked over with her pregnant belly, stood on the other side of Qin Lin, and tugged at his sleeve.

Li Ran also walked over and stood beside Su Yuling.

Su Yuran walked over carrying Qin An and stood next to Han Qing.

Qin An reached out his little hand to grab Qin Lin's hair. Qin Lin tilted his head to dodge. Qin An didn't catch it, but he wasn't discouraged and reached out to grab it again.

Su Yuran held his hand down.

Lin Wanwan, Han Yurou, Li Ying, Xu Xue, Zhou Lingling, Zhou Yueyue, Xia Qiuyan, Lin Xiaoyue, Lin Fang, Wang Xiulan—everyone walked over and surrounded Qin Lin.

The children were in their mothers' arms; some were asleep, some were wide-eyed looking at the adults, some were chewing on their own fingers, and some were pulling their mothers' hair.

The The Ark glided quietly through deep space, about to arrive at the Otherworldly Passage.

Qin Lin stood in front of the holographic projection console, watching the rotating vortex.

The center of the vortex was very dark; one could not see what was on the other side.

Perhaps it was a new starry sky, perhaps a brand-new world, or perhaps there was nothing at all.

Su Yuling leaned on his shoulder, her hand resting on her belly, and said, "Brother Lin, do you think there will be people like us in the other world?"

Qin Lin thought for a moment. "I don't know."

Su Yuling smiled. "Regardless of whether there are or not, at least we have each other."

Qin Lin turned his head to look at her. Su Yuling's eyes were very bright in the light of the holographic projection, and the corners of her mouth were curled up, like a cat that had stolen a fish.

Han Qing stood on his other side, still holding his hand.

Her hand was warmer than before, with a thin layer of sweat on her palm.

She didn't speak, but Qin Lin could feel her heartbeat; it was faster than usual.

Soon, the The Ark arrived at the entrance of the Otherworldly Passage.

Viewed from a distance, it looked like a collapsing star, with a black center and a ring of flowing light around it.

The light was rotating at a high speed, but the The Ark's scanning array showed that the gravitational field at the passage entrance was within a safe range.

Qin Lin stood in the center of the bridge's sphere, looking at the rotating vortex on the holographic screen. He took a deep breath and tapped "Enter" on the control console.

The The Ark gave a slight jolt, then slowly and steadily sailed toward the entrance of the passage.

The protective shield changed from an energy layer clinging to the hull into a huge ball of light enveloping the entire The Ark.

Energy circuits were circulating frantically on the surface of the light sphere, at a speed so fast that the naked eye couldn't keep up.

The The Ark's hull was trembling slightly—not because of instability, but due to the resonance produced by spaces of different dimensions compressing the protective shield.

Su Yuling stood next to Qin Lin, her hand resting on his shoulder, watching the darkness outside the window getting closer and closer. She said, "Brother Lin, what kind of world do you think we will go to?"

Qin Lin thought for a moment. "I don't know, but we'll know once we get there."

The The Ark sailed into the passage.

The light outside the window changed from white to blue, from blue to purple, from purple to black, and then everything returned to nothingness.

There was no light, no sound, no up, down, left, or right, and no reference points whatsoever.

The The Ark seemed to be floating in a huge, empty container.

The data on the holographic screen was jumping frantically, at a speed so fast that Qin Lin could no longer see it clearly.

But he was not anxious, nor did he need to see it clearly.

The The Ark's System was automatically recording everything and would generate a complete report after the traversal was finished.

It was unknown how much time had passed—perhaps an instant, perhaps many years.

In the darkness outside the window, the first star appeared.

It was not just one, but many, countless stars, dense and packed, very similar to the starry sky on Earth, but not exactly the same.

The colors of those stars were richer—red, blue, yellow, green—like an overturned palette.

The The Ark gave a slight jolt, the light of the protective shield changed back from black to pale purple, and the hull stabilized.

Qin Lin stood in the center of the bridge's sphere, looking at the unfamiliar starry sky outside the window, and said, "We've arrived."
