312: Chapter 312, "Many Children, Many Blessings," Phase Two of the mission has been unlocked.

The sky of this planet was a pale purple.

The clouds were pink and very thin, like a layer of light gauze.

The ground was covered in moss, but it wasn't green; it was blue.

Qin Lin squatted down and touched the Blue Moss with his glove; it felt soft and damp.

[Sample Analysis: Blue Moss, a native plant, rich in chlorophyll analogs, can be used to extract Life Essence]

[Current Planet's Life Essence Reserves: Approximately 800 units]

Eight hundred units—that was three hundred more than the required five hundred.

Looking at that number, Qin Lin silently thanked the System for its generosity.

The The Ark stayed on this planet for several days.

Qin Lin did not let anyone disembark because, although the atmospheric composition contained oxygen, there were also some unknown trace elements unsuitable for direct human inhalation.

The The Ark's automatic extraction System drew a pale green liquid from the moss and stored it in specialized containers in the cargo hold.

The liquid emitted a faint glow, like fireflies in the dark.

The collection of Life Essence went smoothly, as did the collection of meteorites.

Qin Lin glanced at the upgrade material progress on the System panel: starry sky meteorite 950/1000, dimensional fragment 0/10.

dimensional fragments were only generated between two star Systems.

Qin Lin recalled the spatial entrance he encountered when he first entered the Peach Blossom Spring.

That was a type of spatial rift, except that rift was stable and connected to a complete sub-space.

dimensional fragments were perhaps the remnants of such energy fields.

The The Ark needed to find more spatial rifts, or create one.

Before he could decide how to look for them, the System made the decision for him.

[System Notification: Phase Two of the "Many Children, Many Blessings" quest has been unlocked]

[Condition: Automatically activated after the The Ark reaches Lv9]

[Current Phase: Otherworld Many Children, Many Blessings Survival]

[Description: When the The Ark enters another world, blessing points will be converted into that world's power System. For example, in the Immortal Realm, they convert into Cultivation; in a magic world, they convert into Mana, etc.]

[Tip 1: Please collect dimensional fragments as soon as possible to complete the Lv9 upgrade and open the Otherworld passage]

This notification appeared on the holographic screens in front of everyone. The living room erupted in chaos.

Han Yurou was the first to shout: "Immortal Realm? Cultivation? System, what are you talking about?"

Xu Xue put down her paintbrush and stared at the words on the screen. Her lips moved, but no sound came out.

Xia Qiuyan stood beside her, placing a hand on her shoulder, her fingers gripping slightly.

Li Ying sat up from the massage chair, shifting Qin Xu to her left hand as her eyes fixed on the screen: "So, we're going to transmigrate?"

Su Yuran held Qin An while looking at the line of text. She remained silent for a moment before turning to look at Qin Lin.

Qin Lin stood at the bridge entrance, also watching the screen.

His expression was calm, but Su Yuran noticed his hands were clenched into fists.

Su Yuling was the first to react: "blessing points convert to Cultivation... so does that mean we need to save up more blessing points now?"

Everyone looked at her.

Feeling self-conscious under their gaze, Su Yuling shrunk her neck: "Did I say something wrong?"

"No."

Qin Lin walked over from the bridge entrance and stood in the center of the living room, the light from the holographic screen reflecting on his face.

"She's right. Whether the other world is about Cultivation or something else, the more blessing points we have, the greater our advantage. And you all know how blessing points are earned."

The living room fell silent for a heartbeat.

How were blessing points earned? By getting the women pregnant.

This was a rule everyone on the The Ark knew; it had been clear since the very first day.

Lin Wanwan held Qin Yuan and looked down at her daughter's face without speaking.

Wang Xiulan was beside her, placing a hand on her back and patting it gently.

Han Yurou held Qin Yue, tilted her head in thought, and then asked: "So, do we need to keep having babies?"

No one answered her because everyone already knew the answer.

Qin Lin did not linger on the topic.

He closed the System panel, walked to the nursery area, squatted down, and looked at Qin An.

Qin An was in Su Yuran's arms, gnawing on a plush toy's ear, his face covered in drool. Seeing Qin Lin lean in, he grinned, revealing two bottom teeth like tiny grains of rice.

Qin Lin reached out and patted his head. Qin An smiled even wider, pulled the plush ear out of his mouth, and handed it to Qin Lin.

Qin Lin took the toy, wiped off the drool, and gave it back to Qin An.

"Ba-ba."

Everyone in the living room heard it.

The air froze for about two seconds before Han Yurou shrieked: "Qin An called him Papa!"

Su Yuran was stunned, looking down at Qin An in her arms.

Qin An didn't think he'd done anything remarkable; he just took the plush toy back and continued gnawing on its ear.

"Ba-ba, ba-ba, ba-ba."

He said it again, clearer this time.

Qin Lin looked at him, the corners of his mouth curling up. He didn't respond verbally, but Qin An didn't care.

He took another bite of the plushie, drool running down his chin. Su Yuran gently wiped it away with a tissue.

"Brother Qin Lin, Qin An can say Papa now."

Su Yuling stood nearby and tugged at Qin Lin's sleeve, her eyes red.

Qin Lin looked at her, reached out to pat her head, and said: "Yeah, I heard him."

The The Ark left the planet with the pale purple sky.

The starry sky meteorites were still a bit short, and the dimensional fragments were at zero.

Qin Lin decided to finish collecting the meteorites first before worrying about the dimensional fragments.

The The Ark returned to the meteorite belt and continued salvaging.

The numbers ticked up slowly: from 950 to 960, from 960 to 970, from 970 to 980.

Qin Lin felt his patience being worn thin by these digits.

Just as the starry sky meteorite count jumped to 990, the The Ark's Deep Space Scanning Array suddenly sounded an alarm.

[Detected spatial rift from a different dimensional star System]

[Distance: Approximately two light-years]

[Intensity: Medium]

[Estimated dimensional fragment Yield: 8-12 pieces]

Two light-years—not far.

The The Ark could reach it in a single sub-Space Jump.

Qin Lin watched the alarm. Once the starry sky meteorites reached a full thousand, the The Ark turned toward the spatial rift.

The starscape outside the window shifted repeatedly as the The Ark sped silently through the vacuum, leaving a pale purple trail of thruster fire behind it.

Su Yuling sat in the co-pilot's seat, holding that coverless book, but she wasn't reading it.

She watched the stars flashing by outside and suddenly asked: "Brother Qin Lin, what do you think the other world is like?"

Qin Lin didn't look at her, his gaze fixed on the deep space ahead: "I don't know."

Su Yuling thought for a moment: "Will there be demons?"

Qin Lin considered it: "Probably."

"Will there be immortals?"

"Probably."

"Will there be man-eating monsters?"

Qin Lin turned his head to look at her. Su Yuling's eyes were bright in the screen's light, showing no fear, only curiosity.

"There might be, so we need to save up blessing points to protect ourselves once we get there."

Su Yuling nodded and reopened her book.

Qin Lin leaned back in the command chair, his eyes fixed on the deep space ahead.
