94: Chapter 94 All night, five times

These words made Qin Lin's heart soften.

"It's me who should thank you. Aunt Qing, you've given me so much... many things I've never experienced before."

The two embraced, neither speaking.

Sunlight streamed in from the simulated window, spilling onto the bed and over their bodies.

Warm, peaceful, and beautiful.

But they still had to get up eventually.

Han Qing got out of bed first and picked up the scattered clothes from the floor.

Her face turned red again.

"What about... these?" she asked.

"They were bought from the System Store; they weren't expensive."

Qin Lin also got out of bed.

"If you don't like them, just throw them away. If you do, I'll buy new ones."

"Don't buy anymore! It's... it's too embarrassing."

...

When the door to Room 000 opened, it was already eleven o'clock in the morning.

In the living room, Su Yuran and Lin Wanwan were preparing lunch.

Seeing the two come out, Su Yuran blinked and gave a meaningful smile.

Lin Wanwan lowered her head, pretending to focus on chopping vegetables.

"Oh, finally willing to get out of bed?"

Su Yuran teased, "The wounded man has recovered quite well, he can even move around out of bed now."

Qin Lin coughed. "Much better, thanks for your concern."

Han Qing's face turned even redder.

"I'm going to check on Yu Rou."

She walked quickly toward the ecological box, almost fleeing.

Su Yuran laughed. "Aunt Qing is 'injured' again."

Qin Lin glared at her. "Don't talk nonsense."

"I'm not talking nonsense."

Su Yuran said righteously.

"I'm just concerned about the wounded."

"By the way, do you want your room cleaned? I saw that it's... quite messy inside."

These words were pointed.

...

"Yuran, Wanwan."

Qin Lin's voice sounded from the doorway.

Su Yuran turned around and saw him standing at the door, feeling a bit awkward.

Seeing Qin Lin approach, Lin Wanwan ran away shyly.

"I... I'll do it myself."

"No need, it's almost done."

Su Yuran continued what she was doing.

"Go rest, or go keep Wanwan company. She's not in a very good mood today."

Qin Lin was stunned for a moment. "What's wrong with Wanwan?"

"What do you think?"

Su Yuran rolled her eyes at him.

"She guessed a bit about what happened between you two. Plus, seeing that neither of you were around this morning, she knows you must have been together last night, so of course she's in a bad mood."

Qin Lin's heart sank a little.

He had indeed neglected Lin Wanwan's feelings.

After all, she had hinted last time that it was time for him to come to her.

Yet he had left her hanging for so long while being involved with another woman.

Who could stand that, especially someone like Lin Wanwan?

"I'll go see her."

"Wait," Su Yuran called out to him.

"Think about what you're going to say first. Wanwan has a soft personality, but she's sensitive. Don't break her heart."

"I know," Qin Lin nodded.

He walked toward the kitchen.

Lin Wanwan was chopping vegetables, but her movements were slow, and her eyes were a bit red.

"Wanwan," Qin Lin called out softly.

Lin Wanwan looked up, saw Qin Lin, and forced a smile:

"Are you hungry? Lunch will be ready soon."

Her voice was very gentle, but Qin Lin could hear the disappointment in it.

"I'm sorry."

Qin Lin walked over and hugged her from behind.

Lin Wanwan's body stiffened for a moment, then slowly relaxed.

"Sorry for what?" she asked, her voice very soft.

"Sorry for neglecting you."

Lin Wanwan fell silent.

After a while, she finally said:

"I don't blame you. Aunt Qing is a good woman, you two... are a good match."

"But that doesn't mean I don't care about you."

Qin Lin turned her body around to face him and began his PUA techniques.

"Wanwan, you are very important to me. Since the day you got on the vehicle, you've always been important."

Lin Wanwan's eyes grew moist.

"I know. It's just... I need time to adjust."

"With Aunt Qing suddenly added, it feels a bit... crowded."

These words were very subtle, but Qin Lin understood.

She was complaining that even though she was first in line, Aunt Qing had cut in front of her.

"It won't be crowded. I have enough room in my heart for each and every one of you."

"Really?" Lin Wanwan looked up at him.

"Really. Yuran, you, Aunt Qing, and Yu Rou... every one of you is unique and an important person in my life."

These words were a bit scummy, but they were sincere.

In the apocalypse, just surviving is already good enough.

Who cares about being exclusive?

He couldn't be exclusive.

Lin Wanwan looked at him and finally nodded.

"I believe you."

Qin Lin kissed her forehead.

The two embraced for a while until Su Yuran finished cleaning the room and came out.

"It's all cleaned up. Remember to put things away after using them next time; don't let Yu Rou see."

Qin Lin's face turned red. "Yuran, you..."

"What about me?"

Su Yuran was perfectly justified.

"I am your Passenger No. 001; I have the responsibility of managing the harem."

"You guys can have your fun, but don't make too much of a mess and affect the team's harmony."

She spoke with such seriousness that Qin Lin didn't know what to say in response.

During lunch, the atmosphere was a bit subtle.

Han Qing returned and sat across from Qin Lin, keeping her head down while eating, not daring to look at anyone.

Han Yu Rou was chattering about the ecological box, unaware of the adults' odd behavior.

Lin Wanwan was very quiet, but her expression looked much better.

Su Yuran, acting as if nothing was wrong, served food to everyone.

"By the way, Qin Lin," Su Yuran suddenly spoke up.

"Now that your injury is healed, what's the plan next?"

This question drew everyone's attention.

Qin Lin put down his chopsticks. "Continue south, heading to Ning City first."

"On one hand, we'll look for Yuran's parents, and on the other, we'll keep searching for crystal stones. The RV needs upgrading, and we need to become stronger."

"When do we leave?"

Han Qing asked; it was the first thing she had said during lunch.

"Tomorrow. Everyone prepare today; we'll leave first thing tomorrow morning."

Everyone nodded.

Heading south meant a new beginning, but also new dangers.

...

After lunch, Qin Lin went to the Drivers Cabin.

Su Yuran pulled Lin Wanwan into Room 001.

"Wanwan, I need to tell you something."

She closed the door, her expression serious.

"What is it?" Lin Wanwan asked.

"It's about the second step of the 'Schedule'."

"It's your turn next."

Lin Wanwan's face turned red. "Yuran, this... isn't it too fast?"

She wasn't ready to get pregnant yet.

"Faster is better. In the apocalypse, there's no time to be coy."

"And I can tell you want it too; you just haven't adjusted yet, right?"

Lin Wanwan bit her lip and didn't deny it.

She did want it.

Not out of physical desire, but psychological.

She wanted to be closer to Qin Lin, to occupy a more important place in his heart.

"So I'll arrange it. Qin Lin will go to your room tonight. Get ready."

"Tonight?"

Lin Wanwan was startled.

"Isn't it too fast? Qin Lin was just with Aunt Qing last night..."

"That's why we have to strike while the iron is hot."

"We can't let Aunt Qing take all the lead. Besides, getting pregnant early will also benefit the team."

"The 'Many Children, Many Blessings' task allows the RV to upgrade, remember?"
