377: Chapter 377 Li Ruyan

In the afternoon, Qin Lin went to find Su Han.

He did not knock, but pushed the door open and entered.

Su Han was sitting by the window reading. When she saw him enter, she closed the book.

"You are here."

Qin Lin nodded and sat down opposite her.

"I picked up a new passenger today, named Li Ruyan."

Su Han looked at him.

"Is she pretty?"

Qin Lin was stunned for a moment.

"What?"

"I asked if she is pretty."

Su Han's expression did not change, but there was a light in her eyes—not of curiosity, but of scrutiny.

Qin Lin thought for a moment.

"She's alright."

Su Han was silent for a while, then lowered her head and continued reading.

Qin Lin felt her movements were slower than usual; her fingers paused on the page when she turned it.

"What is wrong?"

"Nothing."

Qin Lin stood up, walked over to her, and squatted down to look at her.

Su Han did not raise her head, but her hand stopped on the page.

"Look at me."

Su Han raised her head to look at him; her eyes were very black and deep.

Qin Lin saw something in her eyes—not coldness, but discomfort.

"Are you jealous?"

Su Han looked at him. "What is jealous?"

Qin Lin thought about it.

"It means feeling uncomfortable when you see me with someone else."

Su Han was silent for a while.

"Then I am uncomfortable."

Qin Lin smiled, reached out, and patted her head.

"That is jealousy."

Su Han did not dodge, letting him touch her.

"It feels terrible."

Qin Lin squatted in front of her, holding her hand.

"I will come to see you more often in the future."

Su Han looked at him.

"Do you promise?"

Qin Lin nodded.

"I promise."

The corners of Su Han's mouth curled up slightly.

She lowered her head to continue reading, but her hand did not pull back, letting Qin Lin continue to hold it.

In the evening, Qin Lin went to find Murong Wan.

Murong Wan was wearing a dark blue nightdress, her hair loose, leaning against the headboard reading a book.

Qin Lin walked over and sat down beside her.

"Aunt Murong, I picked up a new passenger today named Li Ruyan."

Murong Wan put down the book and looked at him.

"How is she?"

"She talks a lot, is very enthusiastic, and is in the Early Stage of the Golden Core."

Murong Wan was silent for a while.

"What about Su Han? How did she react?"

Qin Lin looked at her.

"How did you know Su Han would react?"

Murong Wan smiled.

"I am a woman, of course I know." She looked at him. "Is Su Han jealous?"

Qin Lin nodded.

"Yes, she said she was uncomfortable."

Murong Wan reached out and patted his shoulder.

"You, you attract trouble everywhere. Even someone as cold as Su Han has been melted by you, and now here comes another one as passionate as fire. Can you handle it all?"

Qin Lin held her hand.

"I can handle it."

Murong Wan glared at him.

"Take care of your health."

Qin Lin pulled her into his arms.

Murong Wan leaned against his chest.

...

After Li Ruyan settled down on The Ark, she quickly became one of the most active people on board.

She walked up and down the corridors every day, greeting everyone she saw.

She went to find Han Qing to chat; Han Qing was writing medical records, and she stood by and watched for a long time.

The women on The Ark had different attitudes toward Li Ruyan.

Han Yurou liked her because she said, "Your daughter is so cute."

Li Ying found her annoying because "she talks too much"—even more than herself.

Su Yuran thought she was okay because "she made The Ark lively."

Murong Wan thought she was a good girl because "she smiles at everyone."

Only Su Han did not like her.

Li Ruyan went to the lounge to eat, where Su Han was sitting in a corner.

Li Ruyan walked over, sat down opposite her, and said with a smile, "Hello, my name is Li Ruyan."

Su Han looked up at her.

"Su Han." Then she lowered her head and continued eating.

Li Ruyan did not mind and continued talking: "Do you live next door to me? I heard movement in your room this afternoon; are you Cultivating? What Cultivation Technique are you Cultivating? Can I learn it?"

Su Han put down her chopsticks and looked at her.

"No." Then she stood up and left.

Li Ruyan watched her back, stunned for a few seconds, then turned to ask Han Yurou beside her, "Does she not like me?"

Han Yurou thought for a moment.

"It is not that she does not like you; she does not like anyone."

Li Ruyan thought about it and asked again, "Then what about Qin Lin? Does she like Qin Lin?"

Han Yurou smiled.

"Yes, she only likes Qin Lin."

Li Ruyan began to observe Su Han. She discovered that Su Han would sit by the window drinking tea every afternoon, waiting for Qin Lin to come find her.

She discovered that Su Han's eyes would change when she saw Qin Lin, shifting from cold to not so cold.

She discovered that Su Han's voice was softer than usual when she spoke to Qin Lin.

Li Ruyan felt that Su Han was not cold, but only warm to one person.

One afternoon, Li Ruyan met Su Han in the corridor.

Su Han was coming out of her room carrying a cup of tea. When she saw Li Ruyan, she did not slow her pace.

Li Ruyan followed her and walked side by side.

"Su Han, are you going to find Qin Lin?"

Su Han looked at her.

"Yes."

"I am going too, let's go together."

Su Han did not speak, but she did not refuse either.

The two walked to the door of the Bridge, where Qin Lin was sitting, looking at the star map.

He saw the two walk in together and was stunned for a moment.

"Why are you together?"

Li Ruyan said with a smile, "We met on the way. Su Han is coming to find you, and I followed to bum some tea."

Su Han sat down on the chair next to Qin Lin and placed her teacup on the console.

Li Ruyan sat down on the chair on the other side, looking at the star map on the holographic screen.

"Are these stars real?"

Qin Lin nodded. "Real."

Li Ruyan stared at the star map for a long time, then asked, "Can we go to those stars?"

Qin Lin nodded again.

"Yes, we can go anywhere."

Li Ruyan's eyes brightened.

"That is great! I have wanted to see what the starry sky looks like since I was a child. Back in the Sect, Master said there is a heaven beyond heaven, but no one has ever been there. Now, we can go."

Su Han sat on the side without speaking, but her gaze shifted from the star map to Li Ruyan's face.

She saw a kind of light in Li Ruyan's eyes—not greed, but longing.

"You will go," Su Han said.

Li Ruyan turned her head to look at her, stunned.

"What did you say?"

Su Han picked up her teacup and took a sip.

"You will go."

Li Ruyan smiled.

"Thank you, you speak so nicely."

She paused. "But you look better when you smile; why don't you smile?"

Su Han looked at her, and the corners of her mouth moved slightly.

Ruyan clapped happily. "You smiled! Although only a little bit, it is indeed a smile!"

Su Han lowered her head and continued drinking tea. Qin Lin looked at the two, the corners of his mouth curling up. He felt that Li Ruyan's arrival might make Su Han a little warmer.

In the evening, Qin Lin went to Su Han's room.

Su Han was wearing light gray loungewear, her hair loose, sitting by the window.

Qin Lin walked over and sat down beside her.

"Su Han."

"Hmm."

"You came over with Li Ruyan today."

Su Han looked at him.

"She followed."

Qin Lin smiled.

"When she talked to you, you smiled."

Su Han was silent for a while.

"She talks too much, but I can tell that she has no malice."
