421: Chapter 421 Demon Clan

After The Ark had been sailing through the starry sky for some time, Ling Xi stood on the Bridge, gazing into the darkness ahead.

Her brows furrowed slightly, and Qin Lin noticed her unusual behavior: "What is it?"

Ling Xi did not answer immediately; instead, she reached out her hand, palm facing forward.

A pale purple light danced at her fingertips, as if she were perceiving something.

After a long while, she withdrew her hand: "There is a galaxy ahead, but the energy fluctuations it emits are unlike anything I have seen before."

Qin Lin opened the holographic screen and called up the data from the scanning array.

On the screen, there was indeed a galaxy about several light-years ahead, but its color was dark, like a nebula soaked in ink: "Is there anything special about it?"

Ling Xi looked at him: "The core energy of that galaxy is very rich, but its life aura is different from that of humans or the Yao Race. Its energy frequency is lower, heavier, as if..."

She paused, searching for the right words, "As if it is surging up from deep underground; it is very likely the world of the Demon Race."

Qin Lin looked at her: "The Demon Race?"

Ling Xi nodded: "Yes, I vaguely remembered the existence of the Demon Race, but I hadn't been able to recall it until now. It was only when I sensed that energy just now that those memories surfaced."

Qin Lin was silent for a moment: "The Demon Race... what are they like?"

Ling Xi looked at him: "Like humans and the Yao Race, the Demon Race is one of the intelligent races in the Universe. They have their own civilization, their own Cultivate System, and their own social structure. But because their energy attributes are dark, they are easily misunderstood by other races."

Qin Lin thought for a moment: "Then what does their disaster look like?"

Ling Xi called up the detection data, and an image of the interior of that galaxy appeared on the holographic screen, with a planet wrapped in dark red light appearing in the center of the frame.

The surface of the planet had countless cracks, as if it had been torn apart from the inside by something, and dark red light surged within the fissures, like blood.

The planet's atmosphere was very thin, with traces of fragmentation at the edges, as if it were being eroded by something.

Qin Lin looked at that planet: "Is their world also collapsing?"

Ling Xi nodded: "The disaster energy has arrived here, transforming into another form. Unlike in the Tianxuan Galaxy, where it manifested as spatial rifts and energy storms, it is seeping out from underground, like a type of corrosive dark energy. It devours life, pollutes the land, and causes everything to slowly die."

Qin Lin opened the threat assessment on the System panel, and lines of data popped up on the screen:

[Current Galaxy Status: Moderately Dangerous]

[Energy Type: Dark Attribute Erosion]

[Estimated Time to Total Erosion: Approx. 80 years]

[Life Signs: Present, Quantity approx. 500-800]

[Meets Scoring Requirements: Initial scan discovered approx. 50-80 individuals]

Qin Lin looked at the number: "Fifty to eighty Demon Race females who meet the scoring requirements."

He paused, "Do you think the people of the Demon Race would be willing to board The Ark?"

Ling Xi looked at him: "They are experiencing a disaster, just like those of the Yao Race were back then. As long as they can survive, they will be willing."

Qin Lin nodded and set a new course on the control console: "Then let's go and see."

The Ark turned and flew towards the galaxy wrapped in dark red light.

The starry sky outside the window began to change as it approached the edge of the galaxy; the stars dimmed, as if they were being devoured by something.

The distant halo turned from deep blue to dark red, like a veil stained with blood.

Qin Lin could feel The Ark's protective shield fluctuate slightly, as if resisting some invisible pressure.

Han Yurou ran over from the living room and leaned against the window, looking at the dark red starry sky outside: "What place is this? Why does it feel so eerie?"

Qin Lin called up the scan data: "Ahead is a galaxy inhabited by the Demon Race. Ling Xi says the Demon Race there is experiencing a disaster and needs our help."

Han Yurou was stunned: "The Demon Race? Is there really a Demon Race?"

She turned to look at Ling Xi, "What does the Demon Race look like? Do they have horns on their heads? Do they eat people?"

Ling Xi looked at her: "The Demon Race is like humans; they are an intelligent race. The energy attributes they Cultivate are dark, but their intelligence is not much different from humans, and they do not eat people."

Han Yurou breathed a sigh of relief: "That's good, I thought we were going to war."

Li Ruyan also ran over, and she stood by the window looking at the dark red starry sky outside: "So this is what the Demon Race's territory is like; the color is so deep, like blood."

Su Han leaned against the doorframe, also looking out the window: "Has the world of the Demon Race always been like this? Or did it become like this after the disaster?"

Ling Xi looked at her: "No, the world of the Demon Race was once like the human world, with blue skies, white clouds, and green fields; the disaster just changed its appearance."

Su Han was silent for a moment: "Then they must be very miserable."

The Ark passed through the dark red halo and entered the interior of the galaxy.

The planet wrapped in dark red light drew closer and closer.

The cracks on the planet's surface were clearly visible, and the dark red light within the fissures pulsed slowly, like an injured heart.

The planet's atmosphere was very thin, with traces of fragmentation at the edges.

When The Ark passed through the atmosphere, the light on the surface of the protective shield flickered, as if resisting some kind of erosion.

The Ark landed on a patch of dark red land.

The ground was cracked and dry, as if it had been scorched by fire.

In the distance, there were some building ruins, seemingly built from black rock, with a rough style and rigid lines, completely different from human architecture.

There was a faint smell of sulfur in the air, as if there were volcanoes active underground.

Qin Lin walked down the gangway, his feet stepping onto the cracked land.

The ground was very hard, and when he stepped on it, it emitted a faint cracking sound.

He looked up into the distance; those ruins cast long shadows under the dark red sky.

The air was filled with an indescribable aura—not the scent of flowers, not the scent of soil, but something else, heavier and more profound.

Ling Xi walked down and stood beside him: "I can feel their energy fluctuations coming from beneath those ruins."

Qin Lin opened the System panel, and the data from the scanning array showed a large number of life signals underground: "Are they down there?"

Ling Xi nodded: "The surface is no longer habitable; rift energy is seeping out from underground, polluting the land and air. They have no choice but to hide underground, relying on limited resources to survive."

Qin Lin walked in the direction of the ruins. After walking for a while, a slight noise came from beneath the ruins, as if something was moving.

He stopped his steps and looked at the ruins ahead: "Is anyone there?"

The ruins were silent for a moment, and then a stone slab was pushed aside.

A figure poked her head out from underground.

She was wearing a dark red dress; her skin was light gray, her hair was silvery-white, and her eyes were dark red, like two polished gemstones.

She looked at Qin Lin, her eyes filled with vigilance, but no hostility: "Human?"

Qin Lin nodded: "I am Qin Lin, the owner of The Ark. The Ark is a ship that can sail through the starry sky; it can provide a safe dwelling, food, and water. Your planet is collapsing, and we want to help you."

The woman looked at him, silent for a long time: "How can you prove that what you say is true?"
