176: Chapter 176 Qin Lin, my little brother, I want to go to the second-floor swimming pool.

Su Yuling raised her head and looked at her.

Her eyes were a bit red.

“Sis...”

Su Yuran smiled.

“Alright, go eat some fruit. The fruit your Aunt Han Qing cut is delicious.”

Su Yuling hesitated for a moment but still stood up, following her sister to the coffee table.

Han Qing saw her and gave a small smile.

“Yuling, come, have some watermelon.”

Su Yuling took a piece of watermelon and whispered:

“Thank you, Aunt Han Qing.”

Han Qing patted her head.

“You're welcome.”

Su Yuling took a bite of the watermelon, the sweetness spreading in her mouth.

She stole a glance toward the Drivers Cabin.

Is Brother Lin still in there?

What is he doing?

...

At three o'clock in the afternoon, the repairs on the RV were completed.

[RV Repair Progress: 100%]

[All functions have returned to normal]

Qin Lin looked at the prompt and nodded with satisfaction.

He walked out of the Drivers Cabin and into the living room.

Everyone was there.

“The RV is fixed. We can continue south tomorrow.”

Han Yurou cheered.

“That's great! Finally, we can leave this godforsaken place!”

Li Ying leaned back on the sofa and said lazily:

“Actually, it's pretty good here. It's quiet.”

Han Yurou glared at her.

“What's so good about it? It's 50 degrees outside; you'd be roasted the moment you step out.”

Li Ying smiled.

“No one's making you go out.”

The two bickered for a bit, and everyone laughed.

Su Yuran walked over and took Qin Lin's arm.

“So, what's the plan for today?”

Qin Lin thought for a moment.

“Even though the RV is fixed, let's just rest well today and set off tomorrow.”

Su Yuran nodded.

“That sounds good.”

The group dispersed.

In the living room, only Qin Lin and Li Ying remained.

Li Ying leaned on the sofa, holding a glass of ice water, looking at Qin Lin.

“Brother Qin Lin, they've all left.”

Qin Lin looked at her.

“And?”

Li Ying smiled, a meaningful expression on her face.

“So... don't you think this is a good opportunity?”

Qin Lin raised an eyebrow.

“What kind of opportunity?”

Li Ying stood up, walked over to him, and traced circles on his chest with her finger.

“What do you think?”

Qin Lin looked at her.

She was wearing a white camisole nightgown with a sheer gauze wrap over it, making her look partially hidden and partially revealed.

A thirty-year-old woman, mature and charming, with every movement carrying a hint of temptation.

Qin Lin reached out and pulled her by the waist.

“Do you know that you're often playing with fire?”

Li Ying laughed.

“What's wrong with playing with fire? It's not like I haven't done it before.”

She stood on her tiptoes and whispered in his ear:

“Brother Qin Lin, I want to go to the second floor pool.”

Qin Lin was stunned for a moment.

“Now?”

“Mhm, now. Swimming during the day feels even better.”

Qin Lin looked at her and smiled.

“Alright.”

The second-floor Viewing Platform, the Open-air Swimming Pool.

Sunlight filtered through the protective shield, dancing on the water's surface in shimmering ripples.

Two glasses of chilled juice sat on the lounge chairs by the pool, with a plate of fruit on the small table next to them.

Li Ying shed her gauze wrap, revealing the bikini she had just changed into underneath.

It was black, with a bold design that barely covered anything.

She looked back at Qin Lin with a smile on her lips.

“Brother Qin Lin, aren't you coming in?”

Qin Lin took off his shirt and stepped into the pool.

The water was cool and refreshing, reaching just up to his waist.

Li Ying swam over and leaned against him.

“Does it feel good?”

Qin Lin pulled her by the waist.

“It does.”

Li Ying smiled.

“That's good then.”

She looked up at him, a certain light in her eyes.

“Qin Lin, you know, sometimes I feel like the apocalypse isn't all that bad.”

Qin Lin raised an eyebrow.

“How so?”

“If there were no apocalypse, I might still be in that apartment, living an ordinary life.”

Qin Lin listened, feeling a bit touched in his heart.

She leaned against his chest and said softly:

“Compared to a life like that, I prefer the way you... ravage us in bed.”

Qin Lin laughed.

“So that’s the real point, isn’t it?”

Li Ying also laughed.

“Of course. You're at your most handsome when you're ravaging people.”

The two looked at each other and smiled.

After they finished laughing, Li Ying raised her head and looked at him.

Under the sunlight, her face was slightly flushed, and her eyes were bright, filled with both desire and sincerity.

...

The water in the pool rippled gently, shimmering with light.

This afternoon belonged to the two of them.

A long time later, the two lay on the lounge chairs by the pool, drinking chilled juice.

Li Ying's entire body was limp, and she didn't even have the strength to lift her hand.

“Brother Qin Lin...” she said weakly.

“Are you even human?”

Qin Lin laughed.

“What's wrong?”

“What do you mean, what's wrong?” Li Ying glared at him.

“Three hours... were you trying to ravage me to death?”

Qin Lin laughed even harder.

“Weren't you the one who initiated it?”

Li Ying was choked by his words and couldn't speak.

In the end, she could only turn her head away huffily.

Qin Lin reached out and pulled her into his arms.

“Alright, if you're tired, sleep for a while.”

Li Ying leaned into his embrace and closed her eyes.

“Brother Qin Lin.”

“Mhm?”

“Let's come here again next time.”

Qin Lin smiled.

“Alright.”

Sunlight bathed the two of them, warm and cozy.

Li Ying's breathing gradually stabilized as she fell asleep.

Qin Lin looked at her peaceful sleeping face, and his heart felt soft.

This woman was thirty years old, yet she was like a little girl, wanting what she wanted and acting spoiled whenever she felt like it.

But it was precisely this authenticity that made him like her.

He gently kissed her forehead.

“Sleep.”

When Qin Lin returned to the living room after five o'clock in the afternoon, everyone was already up.

Han Yurou was talking to Su Yuling.

Or rather, she was talking unilaterally, and Su Yuling only nodded occasionally.

Seeing Qin Lin come in, Han Yurou immediately abandoned Su Yuling and ran over.

“Brother Qin Lin! Where did you go?”

Qin Lin's expression remained unchanged.

“Resting on the second floor.”

Han Yurou looked at him suspiciously.

“Alone?”

Qin Lin nodded.

“Alone.”

Han Yurou wanted to ask more, but Li Ying walked in from behind, stretching her arms and looking refreshed.

“Ah, I had a nap, it feels so good.”

Han Yurou looked at her, then at Qin Lin, and suddenly understood something.

Her face turned red.

“You... you guys...”

Li Ying smiled.

“What about us?”

Han Yurou was speechless.

Li Ying walked over and patted her shoulder.

“Sister Yu Rou, you'll get used to this kind of thing in the future.”

Han Yurou glared at her, both embarrassed and angry.

Qin Lin smiled helplessly.

“Alright, alright, stop messing around, let's get ready for dinner.”

Lin Wanwan poked her head out from the kitchen.

“Dinner will be ready soon, everyone go wash your hands.”

Everyone dispersed.

Su Yuling stood where she was, looking at Qin Lin's back, her heart feeling both sour and bitter.

Just now when Han Yurou asked where he had been, he said he was alone.

But Li Ying had come out from behind him; clearly, he wasn't alone.

He was lying.

Or rather, he was keeping it from everyone.

Why hide it?

Because he didn't want people to know he was with Li Ying?

Or because... he didn't want people to know they went to the second floor?

Su Yuling bit her lip and turned to go back to her room.

She didn't want to eat dinner anymore.

At dinner, Su Yuling did not appear.

Su Yuran went to call her, but she said she “wasn't hungry and wanted to sleep.”

Su Yuran knew what was on her mind, but she didn't force her.

Returning to the dining table, Su Yuran glanced at Qin Lin.

Qin Lin was talking to Han Yurou and didn't notice her gaze.

Su Yuran sighed.

This girl's thoughts were getting harder and harder to guess; she really wasn't playing by the rules.

She was starting to not understand her sister's maneuvers.
