305: Chapter 305 Upgrade Complete: Lv8 Starship

Then, Han Yurou's voice was once again the first to break the silence.

"Over five thousand high-grade crystals?"

Su Yuran looked at the numbers on the holographic light screen, the corners of her mouth curling up.

"We won't have to look for crystal stones everywhere anymore."

Qin Lin nodded, his tone calm: "Yeah, no need anymore."

Li Ying sat up from the massage chair, holding Qin Xu, the light from the holographic light screen reflecting on her face.

"Brother Qin Lin, is there another free upgrade?"

Qin Lin nodded: "Yes."

Li Ying was silent for a few seconds, then smiled, looking down to give Qin Xu a kiss on the forehead.

"Son, Mom didn't carry you for nothing."

Su Yuran walked to his side, looked down at the line of text, and said softly: "Click it."

Li Ran also walked over, standing on his other side, not saying anything, just placing her hand on the back of his.

Han Qing leaned against the doorframe without moving, but her gaze remained fixed on Qin Lin.

Han Yurou stood nearby holding Qin Yue, Lin Wanwan held Qin Yuan, Xu Xue held Qin Xue, Li Ying held Qin Xu, Zhou Lingling and Zhou Yueyue each held two, Xia Qiuyan held Qin Xia, Lin Xiaoyue held Qin Yi, Lin Fang held Qin Tian, and Wang Xiulan held Qin Zheng.

Everyone was there.

All the children were there.

Qin Lin reached out his finger and tapped "Confirm."

The moment he tapped confirm, the The Ark vibrated slightly.

It wasn't the violent, continuous vibration of previous upgrades, but a brief, heartbeat-like pulse.

Then, a purple-gold light surged from every corner of the The Ark, from the walls, from under the floor, from the ceiling, washing over everyone's ankles like a tide.

The text on the System interface changed.

[Lv7→Lv8 Upgrade Initiated]

[Interstellar Navigator under modification...]

[Estimated time: 72 hours]

[Note: During the upgrade, the Planetary Resource Sweep will be conducted simultaneously]

[Resource recovery and The Ark modification will be completed at the same time]

72 hours, three days and three nights.

Looking from the sky, the The Ark was glowing—not the faint light of the protective shield, but the entire hull was emitting light.

New patterns emerged on the silver-white outer shell from the nose to the tail, denser and more complex than before, like some ancient language.

The hull was slowly lengthening, its length from bow to stern doubling.

The thrusters went from two to four; the original two expanded to the sides, while the two new ones were directly underneath, the purple flames richer than before.

The Observation Tower on the Bridge rose by one level, and a device was added to the top, like an eye, slowly rotating.

The wing panels on both sides of the hull went from two to four, each larger and more streamlined, with faint blue energy flows pulsing along the edges.

The Planetary Resource Sweep began simultaneously.

Qin Lin opened the holographic projection, and a large spherical image emerged in the center of the living room—the complete view of the planet.

Blue, white, and gray; the outlines of continents and oceans were vaguely discernible.

But those points of light were not cities or lights, but crystal stone mineral veins.

Red light points were densely distributed in every corner of the planet, some deep inland, some on the seabed, and some beneath glaciers.

The light points flickered and went out one by one.

Every time one went out, it meant that a portion of the resources from that mineral vein had been absorbed by the The Ark's remote System, converted into energy, then compressed into crystal stones and stored in the The Ark's cargo hold.

The numbers in the cargo hold kept jumping. Three hundred, five hundred, eight hundred, one thousand, one thousand five hundred.

When the number jumped to two thousand, Han Yurou walked out of the kitchen with a water cup, glanced at the number on the holographic projection, and almost dropped the cup on the floor.

"Two thousand?" She rubbed her eyes. "It's two thousand now?"

"Two thousand three hundred." Zhou Lingling sat on the sofa and looked at her panel.

"Two thousand five hundred." Zhou Yueyue also took a look.

Su Yuling walked into the Bridge and stood beside him.

"Brother Qin Lin, what are you thinking about?"

Qin Lin thought for a moment: "Thinking about the future."

"The future?"

"In the future, we won't have to look for crystal stones everywhere, nor will we have to look for mines. The resources rewarded this time will last us a long time."

Su Yuling nodded.

"Then what will we do in the future?"

Qin Lin thought for a moment: "Go to the starry sky."

Su Yuling looked at him, her eyes shining.

The The Ark's upgrade lasted for a full three days and three nights.

On the first day, the hull lengthened to twice its original size, with new cabins including a larger Ecological Plantation, a multi-functional sports field, and an expanded medical center.

On the second day, the outer shell patterns were completely covered, the energy circuits were upgraded to a high-dimensional energy conduction System, and the protective shield turned from gold to light purple. The thrusters increased to six, with dazzling flames.

On the third day, the device at the top of the Observation Tower reached its final form, named by the System as the "Deep Space Scanning Array," capable of detecting celestial bodies and energy sources within a light-year range in space.

On the evening of the third day, the last of the purple-gold light faded from the The Ark's surface.

The The Ark hovered quietly above the grass of Peach Blossom Spring, its hull twice as long as before, the wing panels increased from two to six, the thrusters from two to four, and the Deep Space Scanning Array added to the Observation Tower.

Qin Lin walked into the Bridge, the holographic screen lit up, and the new interface was simple and elegant, with three times more functions than before.

[Lv8 Interstellar Navigator]

[New Functions:]

[1. Interstellar Cruise Mode: Capable of flying in a vacuum, with a maximum speed of 5% of the speed of light; sub-light speed cruise unlocked.]

[2. Energy Shield V5: Can withstand cosmic rays, micro-meteorites, and extreme temperature differences.]

[3. Deep Space Scanning Array: Can detect cosmic star maps and energy sources within a 10-light-year range.]

[4. Autonomous Life Support System: Oxygen, water, and food can be fully self-circulated without the need for external supplies.]

[5. Spatial Anchors expanded to 10.]

[6. Gravity Adjustment System: Can simulate the gravity environments of different planets within the hull.]

[7. Ecological Cycle Cabin Upgrade: Can accommodate the long-term survival and reproduction of more species.]

[8...]

...

Qin Lin leaned back in the command chair and swiped the interface to the very bottom.

The upgrade conditions for Lv8 to Lv9 hadn't appeared yet, probably because interstellar navigation hadn't truly begun, and the System couldn't predict what would be encountered.

But Qin Lin was in no hurry.

The The Ark could already fly into space, much faster than he had anticipated.

Han Qing walked up to Qin Lin and pulled him out of the Bridge entrance.

"Aunt Qing, what's wrong?"

"Physical examination."

Qin Lin was stunned for a moment: "Didn't I just have one?"

"That was before; your Physique jumped to SSS, who knows if there are any changes inside your body. Sit down and don't move."

Qin Lin was pressed into a chair in the Medical Room by her, and Han Qing picked up a stethoscope and pressed it against his chest.

The probe of the stethoscope was very cold, and Qin Lin's body instinctively flinched.

Han Qing held his shoulder, not letting him move.

"Breathe."

Qin Lin took a breath.

"Again."

Qin Lin took another breath.

"Exhale."

Qin Lin exhaled.
