381: Chapter 381 was done

She was no longer satisfied with just delivering tea and snacks; she began creating all sorts of "chance encounters."

When Qin Lin walked down the corridor, she would suddenly appear from around a corner, holding a cup of tea.

"What a coincidence, I ran into you again."

Qin Lin knew it wasn't a coincidence, but he didn't call her out on it.

When Qin Lin was pouring water in the kitchen, she would walk up from behind and place her hand on his.

"Let me help you pour it."

Qin Lin looked at her hand; it was very fair, with slender fingers. He did not pull away.

When Qin Lin was looking at the star map on the Bridge, she would sit in the chair next to him, leaning in very close—close enough to smell the fragrance of her hair.

Qin Lin turned his head to look at her, and she blinked.

"What's wrong?"

Qin Lin looked at her.

"Are you doing this on purpose?"

Li Ruyan smiled.

"Yes, I am doing it on purpose."

Qin Lin sighed.

"You're so forward, aren't you afraid I'll get annoyed with you?"

Li Ruyan shook her head.

"Not afraid. If you were annoyed by me, you would have chased me away long ago. Since you haven't chased me away, it means you aren't annoyed by me."

Qin Lin looked at her; she was too smart, smart enough that one couldn't refute her.

Li Ruyan stood up, bent over in front of him, and brought her face very close.

"Qin Lin, when will you be willing to have children with me?"

Qin Lin looked into her eyes; there was a light in them—not coercion, but anticipation.

"I said, wait a while."

Li Ruyan did not back down.

"How long do I have to wait?"

Qin Lin thought for a moment.

"Wait until I finish handling matters on The Ark."

Li Ruyan straightened up.

"Alright then, I'll wait for you, but until you're finished, I will keep coming to find you."

She turned and left, but stopped when she reached the door.

"I'll come again tomorrow."

Qin Lin sat on the Bridge, feeling that Li Ruyan was like a ball of fire, burning brighter and brighter.

Su Han felt a sense of crisis.

She saw Li Ruyan becoming more and more forward, and she saw Qin Lin's gaze toward Li Ruyan becoming increasingly tender.

She was no fool; she knew that Qin Lin would sooner or later be won over by Li Ruyan.

She decided not to wait any longer.

That afternoon, Qin Lin went to find Su Han.

Su Han was not sitting by the window drinking tea; she was sitting on the bed, wearing a white nightdress with her hair loose.

Qin Lin pushed the door open and went in, pausing for a moment.

"Why are you dressed like this?"

Su Han stood up and walked over to him.

"I want children."

Qin Lin was stunned.

"What?"

Su Han looked at him.

"I said, I want children, and I want you to have them with me."

Qin Lin looked at her; there was a light in her eyes—not impulse, but seriousness.

"Why so suddenly..."

"It's not sudden."

Su Han interrupted him.

"I've already thought it through."

Qin Lin reached out and cupped her face.

"Alright."

Su Han looked into his eyes.

"Then prove it to me."

Qin Lin looked at her, remained silent for a moment, and then lowered his head to kiss her.

Su Han closed her eyes and placed her hands on his shoulders.

Qin Lin laid her down on the bed, her hair spreading out over the white pillow.

Qin Lin looked at her. "Are you sure?"

Su Han nodded.

"I'm sure."

Qin Lin didn't ask again.

He reached out and turned off the light.

...

Murong Xue soon found out about the matter between Qin Lin and Su Han.

She didn't find out from Qin Lin, but from the System.

The System notification read, "Passenger Su Han has completed her first consummation," and Murong Xue saw it.

She showed no Life Qi, and she wasn't jealous, but she felt a sense of crisis.

That night, Qin Lin went to Murong Xue's room.

Murong Xue was wearing that white nightdress, her hair loose, sitting on the edge of the bed.

Qin Lin walked over and sat down beside her.

"Xue'er."

Murong Xue looked at him.

"You and Su Han did it last night."

Qin Lin did not deny it.

"Yes."

Murong Xue lowered her head.

"When will you do it with me?"

Qin Lin reached out and cupped her face. "Haven't we already done it long ago?"

Murong Xue looked up at him. "I mean, when will you let me conceive?"

Qin Lin looked at her; there was grievance in her eyes.

He lowered his head and kissed her. Murong Xue closed her eyes and placed her hands on his shoulders.

Qin Lin laid her down on the bed, her hair spreading out over the white pillow.

"Anytime."

Murong Xue nodded.

Qin Lin didn't ask again.

Murong Wan was the last one to know.

She didn't see it in the System; it was when Su Han and Murong Xue met her in the corridor, and the expressions on their faces told her.

The corners of Su Han's mouth were curled up, and Murong Xue's face was flushed.

Murong Wan glanced at them, said nothing, turned around, and left.

That night, Qin Lin went to Murong Wan's room.

Murong Wan was wearing that dark blue nightdress, her hair loose, leaning against the headboard.

Qin Lin walked over and sat down beside her.

Murong Wan looked at him.

"You and Su Han did it?"

Qin Lin did not deny it.

"Yes."

Murong Wan was silent for a moment.

Qin Lin looked at her; there were tears in her eyes.

He reached out and pulled her into his embrace.

Murong Wan leaned against his chest.

"Qin Lin, do you think I'm old?"

Qin Lin shook his head.

"No."

Murong Wan looked up at him.

Qin Lin lowered his head and kissed her; her lips were cool, soft, and carried a hint of salty tears.

Qin Lin laid her down on the bed, her hair spreading out over the white pillow.

...

Li Ruyan was the last one to know.

She stood in the corridor, watching the three of them come out of Qin Lin's room; she didn't speak, but turned and went back to her own room.

She sat on the bed, her hands on her knees, head lowered.

She recalled delivering tea, snacks, and Warmth to Qin Lin every day, remembered Qin Lin saying "wait a while," and recalled the way Qin Lin looked at her.

She was no fool; she knew she had lost.

The door opened.

Qin Lin walked in and sat down opposite her.

Li Ruyan looked up at him, her eyes red.

"Why did you come?"

Qin Lin looked at her.

"To see you."

Li Ruyan lowered her head.

"You already have Su Han, you have Murong Xue, you have Murong Wan, and you still want to come see me?"

Qin Lin reached out and took her hand.

Li Ruyan looked at him.

"When will you agree to me?"

Qin Lin thought for a moment.

"Now."

Li Ruyan was stunned.

"What?"

Qin Lin looked at her.

"I said, now, I agree to you."

Li Ruyan's tears fell; she wasn't crying, the tears just fell on their own.

She threw herself into Qin Lin's arms, pressing her face against his chest.

"You're lying."

Qin Lin hugged her tightly.

"I'm not lying."

Li Ruyan looked up from his arms at him, her eyes red.

"Then are we having children now?"

Qin Lin looked at her; there was a kind of light in her eyes—not impulse, but seriousness.

Qin Lin lowered his head and kissed her; her lips were hot, soft, and carried a hint of salty tears.

Qin Lin laid her down on the bed, her hair spreading out over the white pillow.

...

A silent competition began among the women on The Ark.

Su Han waited for Qin Lin in the corridor every morning, Murong Xue waited for Qin Lin in her room every night, Murong Wan waited for Qin Lin under the lights every late night, and Li Ruyan waited for Qin Lin on the Bridge every afternoon.

Four women, four time slots, filling up every one of Qin Lin's days.

Qin Lin felt like an iron block being pulled by four magnets, with force pulling in every direction.

But he didn't feel tired, because every magnet was warm.

The System notification sounded again.

[Notification: The conception windows for passengers Su Han, Murong Xue, and Li Ruyan have all reached their optimal values; it is recommended to arrange consummation as soon as possible. The progress of the More Children, More Blessings Task will directly affect the upgrade speed of The Ark.]

Qin Lin looked at the line of text, the corners of his mouth curling up slightly.

He closed the notification, stood up, and walked out of the Bridge.

In the corridor, Li Ruyan stood there holding a cup of tea; seeing him come out, she smiled and walked up to him.

"Qin Lin, have some tea."

Qin Lin took the teacup and took a sip; it was sweet.

"Ruyan."

"Yes."

"Come to my room tonight."

Li Ruyan's eyes lit up.

"Okay."

Qin Lin looked at her and reached out to stroke her head.

Li Ruyan smiled, like a blooming red flower.

The Ark continued its cruise through the Central Region's inland. Qin Lin stood on the Bridge, looking at the star map on the holographic screen, with the four women standing beside him.

Su Han was on the left, Murong Xue was on the right, Murong Wan stood behind him, and Li Ruyan stood beside him.
