394: Chapter 394 Perhaps her time is running out.

He stood up, put the crystal stone back into his pocket, turned around, walked out of the room, and closed the door.

He leaned against the hallway wall and took a deep breath.

She actually thought he was too slow.

Qin Lin walked into the living room, where thirty pregnant women were sitting in the newly upgraded space, chatting.

Seeing him enter, Su Yuran put down her book: "Qin Lin, what's wrong? You don't look so good."

Qin Lin sat down among them and was silent for a moment: "The woman in Room No. 15 just woke up."

The living room went quiet for a moment.

Everyone looked at him.

Su Yuran put down her book: "What did she say?"

Qin Lin looked at her: "She said I was too slow and told me to hurry up and have more children."

The living room fell silent again.

The thirty pregnant women looked at each other, and no one spoke.

Han Yurou was the first to speak: "Don't we already have over a dozen now?"

Qin Lin nodded: "But it's not enough. She said it was too slow; we need more."

Li Ying sat up from the massage chair: "Then what do you plan to do?"

Qin Lin thought for a moment: "Let's speed things up. Let those who aren't pregnant get pregnant as soon as possible, let those who are already pregnant continue to give birth, and arrange tasks for new passengers as quickly as possible."

Liu Ruyan leaned over from the side: "Then after I give birth to this one, I'll have another."

Su Han took a sip of tea from the side: "Same here."

Zhao Shuang's voice came from the corner: "Me too."

Lin Qing, Zhou Wan, Shen Yue, Bai Lu, and Jiang Xue also expressed their willingness to have more children.

The atmosphere in the living room changed; it was no longer the relaxed mood of idle chatter, but an atmosphere of seriousness and preparation for action.

Qin Lin looked at them and felt that the women on The Ark were even stronger than he had imagined.

"Thank you all."

Su Yuran looked at him: "No need to thank us. Matters on The Ark are everyone's business."

Qin Lin looked at her, an indescribable feeling welling up in his heart. He felt that his home on The Ark was growing larger and larger.

In the days that followed, the pace on The Ark quickened.

Qin Lin shuttled between the pregnant women every day while also arranging for new passengers to board and managing task progress.

The System scanning array discovered a new survivor gathering point. Qin Lin put Shen Qingyi and Yun Shu in charge of the reception work, while he focused his main energy on the More Children, More Blessings Task.

One evening, Murong Wan found Qin Lin in his room, holding a cup of hot tea.

"Qin Lin, you look more tired than usual today."

Qin Lin took the tea and took a sip: "A bit. What the woman in Room No. 15 said has made me a bit anxious."

"So I have to speed things up, otherwise I always feel unsafe."

Murong Wan reached out and touched her belly: "I haven't even given birth to this one yet, but the next one is already being planned."

Qin Lin held her hand: "Auntie Wan, you don't need to be in such a hurry."

Murong Wan looked at him: "It's not being in a hurry; it's wanting to help. Everyone on The Ark needs to help, and I can't just sit idle."

Qin Lin pulled her into his arms: "You've already helped a lot."

Murong Wan leaned against his chest without speaking.

The starry sky outside the window was slowly rotating, and The Ark was sailing through the Universe.

Li Ran and her daughter, Su Yuling, were the second group to respond.

That night, Qin Lin was in the Bridge looking at a star map when Li Ran pushed the door open and sat in the chair next to him.

"Qin Lin, I have something to tell you."

Qin Lin turned his head to look at her: "Aunt Ran, what's wrong?"

Li Ran looked into his eyes: "I want to have another one."

Qin Lin was stunned: "Aunt Ran, didn't you just get pregnant with your second child?"

Li Ran nodded: "I know, but after this one is born, I still want to have another."

Qin Lin looked at her; there was a light in her eyes—not impulse, but responsibility.

He reached out and held her hand: "Aunt Ran, you've worked hard."

Li Ran held his hand back: "It's not hard work. It's much easier on The Ark than on the ground. Besides, I'm happy to bear children for you."

Qin Lin looked at her, feeling warm inside.

He pulled her into his arms: "Aunt Ran, thank you."

Li Ran leaned against his chest: "You're welcome."

Su Yuling came to find him the next day as well.

She was wearing that milky white nightgown, her hair loose, standing at the entrance of the Bridge, holding a cup of hot milk.

"Brother Lin, I also want to have more children."

Her voice was very soft, but very firm.

Qin Lin reached out and patted her head: "Then after you give birth to this one, take a rest for a while before considering the next one."

Su Yuling nodded: "Okay."

She handed him the milk: "For you to drink, it's hot."

Qin Lin took the milk and took a sip; it was warm and sweet.

Su Yuling smiled, stood on her tiptoes, kissed him on the cheek, and turned to leave.

Qin Lin stood at the entrance of the Bridge, watching her back disappear around the corner of the hallway, feeling that every woman on The Ark was working toward the same goal.

Han Qing was the third to come to him.

That afternoon, Qin Lin was helping Han Qing organize medicine in the Medical Room. She was sitting in a chair with her big belly, giving instructions, while Qin Lin crouched in front of the cabinet, arranging the medicine in order.

Qin Lin stood up and walked over to her: "Aunt Qing, you've worked hard."

Han Qing reached out and touched her belly: "It's not hard work. It's much easier on The Ark than on the ground. Besides, I am willing to bear children for you."

Qin Lin crouched down and pressed his face against her belly: "Aunt Qing, thank you."

Han Qing reached out and stroked his hair: "You're welcome. Get up; don't crouch, your legs will go numb."

Qin Lin stood up, looked at her, and smiled.

Han Qing looked at him and smiled too.

The number of pregnant women on The Ark was increasing slowly and steadily.

New passengers boarded the ship batch after batch, and in each batch, there were women who met the scoring requirements.

Qin Lin established bonds with them according to the frequency suggested by the System, allowing them to complete the More Children, More Blessings Task as soon as possible.

The System notification sound would chime every few days, each time bringing new good news.

[Ding! Congratulations, Host! Passenger Fang Qing has successfully conceived!]

[Current blessing points: 45,900]

[Ding! Congratulations, Host! Passenger Ruan Qing has successfully conceived!]

[Ding! Congratulations, Host! Passenger Xue Mingyue has successfully conceived!]

[Reward: survival points +100,000, blessing points +500]

[Current blessing points: 46,900]

Qin Lin watched the numbers on the panel increase day by day, feeling both reassured and anxious.

He was reassured because progress was being made, but anxious because he was still very far from one hundred.

The woman in Room No. 15 had not woken up again, but what she had said weighed heavily on his heart.

"Too slow."

These three words were like a thorn, pricking his heart, making him afraid to stop.

One day, Su Yuran saw Qin Lin standing by the window in the living room, lost in thought. She walked over and stood beside him: "Qin Lin, what are you thinking about?"

Qin Lin snapped out of it: "I'm thinking about what the woman in Room No. 15 said. She said I was too slow. I've been thinking about what she meant by 'too slow'. I already have thirty pregnant women, forty-five mothers, and over forty children; isn't that slow enough?"

Su Yuran looked at him: "Perhaps her time is running out."
