364: Chapter 364 Looking for another woman?

Qin Lin said, "I don't know."

Murong Wan didn't press him.

The Ark continued its cruise in the Central Domain.

Qin Lin was very busy every day, handling The Ark's affairs during the day and going to see Murong Wan at night.

Murong Xue would occasionally come to find him, but he told her he was very busy lately dealing with flight routes.

Murong Xue didn't suspect anything because she trusted him.

Murong Wan had lived on The Ark for a long time and had completely integrated into life on The Ark.

She helped Han Qing organize the Medical Room, helped Xu Xue take care of the spirit trees, helped Li Ran plant flowers, and helped Su Yuran look after the children.

The women on The Ark changed their attitude toward her from unfamiliar to familiar, and from familiar to close.

Qin Lin watched Murong Wan's busy figure on The Ark and felt it was very much like Han Qing back in the day.

Back then, Han Qing was like this too, busy running around in the Medical Room, treating, examining, and delivering babies for everyone.

Murong Wan was also this kind of person—never fighting or snatching, never complaining or causing trouble, just working silently.

Qin Lin walked over and stood beside her.

"Auntie Wan."

Murong Wan turned her head to look at him.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing, I just wanted to see you."

Murong Wan's face flushed slightly, and she lowered her head to continue organizing the medicine.

Life on The Ark continued.

The children's birthdays passed one after another; Qin An's cake had four candles, Qin Yuan's cake had three, and Qin Yue's cake had three.

Qin Xu took apart all his toys and then put them back together himself; Li Ying said he "had a talent for being an engineer."

Qin Lin stood on the Observation Tower, looking at the starry sky outside the window.

Murong Wan stood beside him.

"Qin Lin."

"Hmm."

"Do you think we can keep going like this forever?"

Qin Lin thought for a moment.

"We can."

Murong Wan looked at him, the corners of her mouth curling up slightly.

"You're lying again."

Qin Lin also smiled.

...

The Ark cruised in the Central Domain's interior for a period of time, and Murong Wan had fully recovered.

She began to officially participate in the management of The Ark, helping Han Qing organize medical records, helping Su Yuran distribute supplies, and helping Li Ran take care of the Flower Garden.

Her experience and wisdom made The Ark's operations more efficient, and everyone praised her endlessly.

But only Qin Lin knew that her calmness and rationality in front of others were faked.

Every night, when he walked into her room, she would become a completely different person.

She would blush, be shy, and whisper in his arms.

Her body would tremble, not because of the cold, but because of nervousness.

"What are you nervous about?"

Murong Wan buried her face in his chest: "I've lived for so many years, and I've never been like this before."

"Like what?"

"Sneaky."

Qin Lin smiled and lowered his head to kiss the top of her head.

"It's not sneaky; it's just that we aren't ready for others to know yet."

Murong Wan looked up at him: "When will we be ready?"

Qin Lin thought for a moment: "When you're not nervous anymore."

Murong Wan glared at him and reached out to punch his chest.

Qin Lin held her hand and lowered his head to kiss her.

That night, Qin Lin stayed in Murong Wan's room until very late.

"Auntie Wan."

"Hmm."

"Do you regret it?"

Murong Wan thought for a moment: "What is there to regret?"

Qin Lin smiled.

Murong Wan also smiled, burying her face in his shoulder.

Daily life on The Ark continued as usual.

Qing Yue's belly was getting bigger and bigger, and her due date was in these few days.

Han Qing checked on her every day, saying the fetus was developing well and the mother's condition was stable.

Hong Yao and Qing He's bellies were also very big; the three of them had due dates in almost the same week.

Qin Lin would go to see them every day, sitting by the bed to chat with them.

Qing Yue was still her usual calm self, Hong Yao was getting more and more nervous, and Qing He was as composed as ever.

"Qin Lin, who do you think the baby will look like when it's born?"

Qin Lin thought for a moment: "Like you."

Hong Yao shook her head: "It's better if it looks like you; you're good-looking."

Qin Lin smiled: "You're good-looking too."

Hong Yao's face turned red, and she lowered her head, stroking her belly.

Murong Xue would come to the Medical Room to help every day.

She had learned a lot of medical knowledge from Han Qing and could already independently handle some simple injuries and illnesses.

...

The Ark found a few more female survivors in the Central Domain's interior who met the comprehensive rating requirements.

The System would update the candidate list every day. Qin Lin looked at those light spots, calculating when to go and pick them up.

One day, while Murong Wan was helping him organize documents in the Medical Room, she saw him looking at the star map and walked over to stand beside him.

"Looking for women again?"

Her voice wasn't loud, but there was a teasing tone in it.

Qin Lin looked at her; the corners of her mouth were curled up, and there was a look in her eyes that said, "I saw through you a long time ago."

"What do you mean 'again'?"

Murong Wan laughed: "In over a month, you've searched from the South to the Central Domain, and from the Central Domain to the interior; how many women have you picked up for the ship? Do you think I don't know?"

Qin Lin felt a bit embarrassed by her gaze, but he quickly calmed down.

He reached out and gently pinched her waist.

"Are you jealous?"

Murong Wan's face turned red, and she reached out to slap his hand away.

"No."

Qin Lin leaned in and whispered in her ear: "You look really beautiful when you're jealous."

Murong Wan's ears turned red; she pushed him away and turned to leave.

She walked a few steps and then stopped without turning back.

"Be careful when you pick people up; don't get yourself into trouble. If you die, who will take care of us?"

She left.

Qin Lin stood on the Bridge, watching her retreating figure, and shook his head with a smile.

The System popped up a new notification.

[Universe Scanning Array: Searching for survivors in the Central Domain interior... 3 suspicious vital sign signals detected]

[comprehensive rating: 92-96 points]

[Location: Marked on the star map]

[Suggestion: Proceed to retrieve]

Qin Lin looked at the three blinking light spots on the screen, his fingers tapping lightly on the control console.

Murong Wan's words echoed in his ears.

He reached out and touched the white crystal stone in his pocket; it was warm and not glowing.

The Ark turned and flew toward the first target.

The land outside the window changed from gray-black to a charred ruin, with white bones and broken stones scattered across the ruins.

The energy of the rift was more intense here, and the black lines in the sky were twisting like countless snakes.

Qin Lin stood on the Bridge, looking at the dead land outside the window, when footsteps came from behind him.

Murong Xue walked in and stood beside him.

"Qin Lin."

"Hmm."

"I'll go with you this time."

Qin Lin turned his head to look at her; there was no hesitation in her eyes, only determination.

"Okay."

The Ark continued to fly toward the target, and the starry sky outside the window slowly rotated.

Qin Lin looked at that unknown Star Domain, thinking to himself, what kind of woman will I meet this time?
