69: Wrong bedroom

"I'm the same with everyone," he said. "In this team, everyone is equal."

"Is that so?"

Han Qing smiled, her expression somewhat bitter.

"But I feel it's different."

Qin Lin's heart skipped a beat.

"Don't use the excuse that the RV needs a doctor; I always feel like you have other motives regarding me."

She didn't finish her sentence, but the meaning was already very clear.

Qin Lin was silent for a moment.

How should he answer?

He did indeed have a motive.

Say it was because of a System mission?

Say it was because her overall rating reached 90 points, making her one of the targets for the Many Children, Many Blessings mission?

No, that would be too hurtful.

"Because you're worth it," Qin Lin finally said. "You're a doctor and an important member of the team."

Han Qing looked him straight in the eye.

"Is that all?"

Qin Lin felt his defenses crumbling.

Alcohol, late night, being alone, and the woman opposite him radiating fatal attraction... "It's not just that," he admitted.

"Aunt Qing, you're beautiful. Not the beauty of a young girl, but... a mature beauty, a beauty with depth."

Qin Lin was surprised at himself for saying those words.

Alcohol really makes one bold.

Han Qing's expression didn't change much, but her eyes flickered.

"I'm thirty-seven years old," she said. "Seventeen years older than you. Yu Rou is already eighteen, only two years younger than you guys."

"Age is just a number," Qin Lin said.

Han Qing said softly, "But I'm a doctor, a mother, and... an elder. There are boundaries between us."

"What boundaries?" Qin Lin asked. "Aunt Qing, it's the apocalypse now."

Han Qing didn't answer.

She picked up the remaining half-glass of wine on the table and drained it in one gulp.

The strong liquor burned her throat; she coughed a few times, her face turning even redder.

"You're right."

She put down the glass, her voice somewhat airy.

"In the apocalypse, it's good enough just to be alive; why think so much..."

She stood up, wanting to pour more wine, but her body swayed.

Qin Lin immediately stood up to support her.

Their bodies came into contact again.

This time, Han Qing wasn't wearing that tight-fitting knitted dress, but a soft silk nightgown.

Qin Lin's hand was on her waist, feeling the warmth and softness of her body beneath the nightgown.

"Aunt Qing, you've had too much to drink," Qin Lin said.

"Maybe."

Han Qing leaned against him without struggling.

"But my mind is clear. Qin Lin, do you know? I haven't... relaxed like this in a long time."

Her voice was very soft, tinged with drunkenness and a certain sense of relief.

"I have to work, raise my daughter, and deal with all sorts of things."

"Intrigue at the hospital, and being frugal in daily life."

"Every day is exhausting, but I don't dare to stop."

She looked up at Qin Lin:

"When the apocalypse came, I thought I would collapse, and I already had one foot in Hell."

"But I didn't expect that instead... I'd be liberated."

"I don't have to think about those annoying things anymore; I only need to think about one thing: surviving."

Qin Lin held her, feeling her body trembling slightly.

"Aunt Qing..."

They were very close, close enough to feel each other's breath.

Qin Lin could smell the scent on her, a mixture of wine and body fragrance.

The scent of a mature woman was intoxicating.

His eyes fell on her lips.

They were moist from the wine, gleaming with an alluring luster.

Reason was warning him:

She is Han Yurou's mother, the team doctor, and an elder.

But desire was egging him on:

Why hold back in the apocalypse?

She's willing, you're willing, what's wrong with that?

"I should go rest."

But her legs gave way, and she fell toward Qin Lin again.

This time, Qin Lin embraced her.

A full embrace, their bodies pressed tightly together.

Time seemed to stand still.

It was warm and quiet inside the cabin, while the wind and snow howled outside.

The two embraced in the middle of the living room, alcohol and desire boiling in their blood.

In the end, Qin Lin was the first to let go.

"I'll help you go rest."

He said, his voice a bit hoarse.

"Mhm."

Han Qing nodded dizzily, offering no opposition.

Qin Lin helped her toward room 003.

The short path of a few meters was walked extremely slowly by the two.

The RV's corridor wasn't long, only about seven or eight meters from the living room to the bedroom area.

But at this moment, this short distance seemed exceptionally long under Qin Lin's feet.

Most of Han Qing's weight leaned against him.

The soft fabric of the silk nightgown rubbed against their bodies as they walked.

Her breath was warm and scented with wine, brushing against the side of Qin Lin's neck with every breath.

Qin Lin could feel every curve and undulation of her body.

From the shoulders to the waist, and then the curve of the buttocks.

It was a different sensation from Su Yuran and Lin Wanwan.

Fuller, softer, and more... mature.

Alcohol surged through his veins, blurring the boundaries of reason.

Qin Lin had originally intended to help Han Qing back to room 003.

He knew Han Yurou was sleeping inside.

She had also drunk quite a bit tonight and was likely fast asleep by now.

But when he walked to the middle of the corridor and saw the door to his Master Bedroom, room 000, his footsteps stopped involuntarily.

That door was no different from the doors of the other Guest Bedrooms.

It had the same smooth light-gray surface, the same door handle, and the same electronic lock.

But now, under the dim corridor lights.

That door seemed to have a special attraction.

Lin Wanwan had said, "It's my turn tonight."

But she had also been drinking tonight and might be asleep by now.

Su Yuran had also said, "Not tonight."

Qin Lin's head was in Chaos.

The alcohol dulled his thinking but made certain hidden desires exceptionally clear.

He felt Han Qing's body in his arms getting softer and softer, her breathing becoming heavier.

"Aunt Qing?" he called softly.

"Mhm..."

Han Qing responded vaguely, her eyes half-closed.

"Are we there?"

Her voice was heavy with sleepiness; she was clearly about to give in.

Qin Lin glanced at the door to room 003, then at his own Master Bedroom.

Then, almost as if possessed, he reached out and pressed the handle of his own bedroom door.

The electronic lock recognized his biological information, and the door slid open silently.

It was pitch black inside, with only the faint light reflected from the snow outside seeping through the gaps in the curtains.

It barely outlined the room's contours.

Qin Lin helped Han Qing inside.

The bedroom door slowly closed behind them.

It shut out the corridor lights and the last shred of sobriety from the outside world.

In the darkness, Qin Lin fumbled to help Han Qing to the bedside.

"Lie down."

He said softly, his voice hoarse under the influence of alcohol.

Han Qing seemed to have lost most of her consciousness, merely following instructions instinctively.

Her body went limp, and she fell onto the bed.

The silk nightgown spread out on the sheets like a deep blue flower.

Qin Lin stood by the bed, looking down at her.

The faint light from outside outlined her silhouette as she lay on her side:

The rise and fall of her shoulder line, her narrowed waist, and then the curve of her hips.

The hem of the nightgown had flipped up due to her movement, revealing her entire long, fair leg.

Her hair was scattered across the pillow, with a few strands clinging to her cheek, rising and falling slightly with her breath.

The scene was breathtakingly beautiful.

Qin Lin felt his throat go dry, his heart beating like a drum.
