7: Thank you for letting me in.

Su Yuran glanced in the direction Qin Lin was looking, but she didn't see anything of what he described.

Qin Lin was momentarily stunned; it seemed only the driver, himself, could see these things.

They were kept confidential from the passengers inside.

Seeing Qin Lin didn't respond, Su Yuran asked again:

"So the air we're breathing now is clean?"

"Relatively clean," Qin Lin said. "At least better than outside."

He continued to check other functions.

The energy management display showed that the solar panels on the roof could provide power during the day.

But there was no sunlight now, so it mainly relied on the onboard battery.

The battery capacity was 100 units, with 89 currently remaining.

Consumption was very slow—temperature control and lighting only consumed 1 unit per hour.

The water tank status showed three tanks:

[Clean Water Tank 1: 100L, Currently Empty]

[Clean Water Tank 2: 200L, Currently Empty]

[Clean Water Tank 3: 300L, Currently Empty]

[The Clean Water Tanks have a purification effect, used for storing potable domestic water and other onboard water usage.]

"Do I need to replenish the water myself?"

Finally, the defense System.

[Armor Reinforcement: The vehicle's metal structure has been reinforced, capable of resisting small collisions and light gunfire]

[Warning: Unable to resist Armor-piercing Shells, explosives, or extreme physical impacts]

It was enough.

At least in the Early Stage of the Apocalypse, this level of defense could already handle most dangers.

Qin Lin turned off the screen and looked at Su Yuran.

The girl was still in shock and hadn't come back to her senses.

In fact, he was also very shocked; after all, he hadn't seen it with his own eyes in his previous life.

Su Yuran touched the walls and the mattress.

She then walked to the bathroom door and looked inside, murmuring to herself:

"A toilet... there really is a toilet..."

Then she turned around and stared at Qin Lin.

"You knew all along."

It wasn't a question.

Qin Lin looked at her calmly.

"I told you, I had a dream."

"What kind of dream could make you even throw in your tuition fees?"

Su Yuran took a step closer.

"Qin Lin, don't lie to me. You definitely know more."

The two looked at each other.

The cabin was so quiet that the faint sound of the ventilation System could be heard.

After a few seconds, Qin Lin smiled.

"I know this RV isn't ordinary. I know it can change. I know it can keep us alive."

He paused: "As for how I know—some things, you wouldn't believe even if I told you."

Su Yuran bit her lip.

She naturally didn't believe that "dreaming" nonsense.

But she also knew that if there was something Qin Lin didn't want to say, no one could pry it out of him.

Besides, was there any point in pressing him now?

The world had already become like this.

The temperature was minus forty degrees, power was cut, signals had vanished, and who knew how many people outside were freezing or starving to death.

And she, because of an impulse to come find Qin Lin, was now lying in a magical RV with heating, a bed, and a toilet.

This was already luckier than ninety-nine percent of people.

"Fine."

Su Yuran finally sighed.

"I won't ask anymore."

She walked to the bedside and sat down; the mattress was softer than she had imagined.

"Anyway... thank you for letting me in."

Qin Lin nodded and walked to the table to sit down.

He reached into a storage cabinet—there was a small cabinet under the table.

Inside, there were actually some basic utensils.

He took out two bottles of water and handed one to Su Yuran.

"Drink some water. Then sleep."

Su Yuran took the water, unscrewed it, and took a sip.

It was room temperature, but in this environment, it was already very good.

"What about you?" she asked. "Are you sleeping on the bed too?"

Qin Lin glanced at her.

"This is my RV," he said. "My bed."

Su Yuran's face turned red: "I didn't say I wouldn't let you sleep... I just meant... the bed is so small..."

"So?"

"So..." Su Yuran's voice grew smaller and smaller, "So we'll just have to squeeze together."

Qin Lin smiled.

He was naturally going to sleep on the bed.

Letting Su Yuran sleep on the bed while he slept on the floor?

That would be a Saint, not him.

In the Apocalypse, maintaining physical strength was most important.

"Rest first," Qin Lin said. "There's still a lot to do tomorrow."

It was around four in the afternoon now, but the sky was already dark.

"What things?"

"Finding water, finding fuel, and finding food to replenish supplies."

Qin Lin paused.

"And—finding crystal stones."

"crystal stones?"

"Items needed for upgrades."

Qin Lin didn't explain much more.

"Go to sleep."

He turned off the main light, leaving only a small night light.

The cabin fell into dimness, with only the faint glow of the control panel and the light from the snow outside filtering through the window.

Su Yuran lay on the inner side of the bed, her back to Qin Lin.

The bed was indeed not large; it would be very cramped for two adults to lie down.

Qin Lin lay on the outer side and pulled the blanket over both of them.

Warmth.

This was the first time since his Rebirth that he felt a true, peaceful warmth.

Outside the vehicle, the wind and snow howled.

Inside, the temperature was stable at eighteen degrees.

Su Yuran's body was very soft; he could feel her body heat and heartbeat through her clothes.

She was clearly very nervous, her body stiff and her breathing deliberately light.

Qin Lin closed his eyes.

In his mind, the System interface automatically emerged:

[Doomsday RV Lv1]

[Next Level Upgrade Requirement: 1 crystal stone of any attribute]

[Current Task: Survive for Seven Days]

[Task Reward: 100 survival points, 1x Random Basic Supply Box]

Seven days.

He had to Survive for Seven Days in this hellish low temperature.

But now, he had a vehicle.

There was hope.

"Qin Lin."

Su Yuran suddenly spoke in a low voice.

"Hmm?"

"We will survive, right?"

Qin Lin was silent for a few seconds.

"We will," he said. "I promise."

Su Yuran seemed a bit more at ease, and her body relaxed slightly.

A few minutes later, her breathing became even and long; she had fallen asleep.

Qin Lin, however, was still awake.

He looked at the ceiling, listening to the sound of the wind and snow, feeling the sturdiness of the vehicle body beneath him.

This life was truly different.

He had an RV.

He had the capital for survival.

And he also had... someone who needed protection.

Although Su Yuran currently relied on him more for survival, it didn't matter.

The Apocalypse was still long.

There was plenty of time.

He closed his eyes and finally fell into a deep sleep.

Outside the window, the sky gradually brightened.

The first dawn of the Apocalypse was about to arrive... Qin Lin was awakened by the stinging sunlight.

It wasn't real sunlight.

The world outside the window was still gray and white, the accumulated snow reflecting the gloomy sky.

It was the light on the ceiling, which had automatically adjusted to "Morning Mode" at six in the morning, simulating a sunrise by gradually brightening.

He opened his eyes and found himself lying on his side, his arm resting on Su Yuran's waist.

The girl was facing away from him, still fast asleep, her long hair scattered on the pillow, with a few strands brushing against his face, making it itch.

Qin Lin gently withdrew his hand and sat up.

The interior temperature displayed eighteen degrees, very comfortable.

The air filtration System was working, making breathing very smooth.

He got out of bed and walked to the driver's cabin.

Outside the window, the workshop of the auto repair shop was still the same, but the snow was thicker.

The alley outside the iron gate was a vast expanse of white, with no signs of any human presence.

The entire world was terrifyingly quiet; even the sound of the wind had stopped.

Qin Lin started the vehicle.

The engine emitted a low, powerful roar, much smoother than before.

The dashboard lit up, showing all data was normal.

He tested the air conditioning, wipers, and lights—everything was normal.

Then he looked at the energy interface.

[Energy: 82/100]

[Solar Charging: Not enabled (insufficient light)]

As expected, the efficiency of the solar panels was very low.

However, energy consumption was very slow; 82 points would last a long time.

If he didn't drive long distances and only maintained basic survival functions, it might only consume about 10 points a day.
